Chapter 11
Destiny and the destination
Part 2
I was monitoring the situation around here with interest when she suddenly saw a virtual screen appear in front of me, a familiar scene that I saw a lot of while playing games in front of my brother's computer. The only difference was how realistic it was, it was like it literally appeared in front of me and was printed in the air. The situation we were in was not a normal one, but one more surprising thing happened to me.
A virtual screen appeared out of nowhere in front of me with information supposedly prevailing about my status. This is a status screen, something I am well aware of in video games. The games that belonged to my brother that I used to play behind his back since, from my parents point of view, I was too young to play them, though I am not a child, I am 10 years old, huh? Wait, why does it say I am 12 here? Am I mistaken for my own age? I believe my 11th birthday is supposed to be five months later.
I read it twice, there was nothing complicated that made me not understand it, but it created some sort of feeling I couldn't really explain: was I supposed to respect those who came up with this whole situation or should I fear them? Because I was having both feelings at once, at the same time, the fear came from their capability to pull off this kidnapping, memory manipulation, even changing the appearance of my brother in front of my eyes, controlling our destination, and monitoring the whole situation.
About the respect, I don't know anything more to add than what I already mentioned because what implemented the fear in me is the same thing that made me respect them also. At that time, I heard Azmar whispering."At least now they have started providing information and instructions." His voice was barely audible to anyone, but I heard it clearly, like he was talking to me. I looked at him, and from his expressions and the way he was looking at his front eyes without moving, I immediately understood that he saw the same virtual screen still in front of me, even though I turned towards my right side, which is where Azmar was kneeling beside me and still following my eyes.
"Me too, I saw it, and you're right, this is the first step." Our eyes met, and we both understood what we were talking about, except for our guide or escort, Raco, who heard what we said and was trying to understand what we were talking about, so we had to give him some unsubscribed answers, which obviously were not satisfactory for him, but before he could respond to us, we all felt the presence of someone approaching us. Ajbadan took the initiative to take care of it after he gave us an order to move from where we were.

It didn't even take more than a minute before he came back to us. I didn't expect for him to take long since whomever was approaching us was one individual, still not that quick. "At least he could have brought him Here so we could get some information from him." That was what I was thinking internally when Azmar said the same thing. " Wasn't it better to keep him alive so at least we could get some information from him?" Looking at his expression when he said it, I realized that somehow he was aware of what happened. I didn't wonder much longer since after Ajbadan looked at Azmar for a few seconds, he said, "It was an unavoidable situation, no matter what I do, the conclusion would have been the same." Without any further explanation, he continued, saying, "The situation is more dangerous than what I expected, so we have to leave this place and go back as far as we can. Let's go".
The thing was clear to him, and I could easily guess what he meant. I can understand his frustration, and he has only one obligation, which is to take us to the capital, so he has to do whatever he can to reach his objectives. That is understandable, but unfortunately, he is not aware of the latest developments in Azmar and myself that we just discovered, and we know that we are not in the wrong place at the wrong time, but it was preplanned for us to be here for reasons that we should discover it ourselves.
Wait, there is another fight going on on that side also." Azmar said that, pointing behind us where we came from and were supposed to retreat, Ajbadan looked at where Azmar posted for a few seconds, then he looked at Azmar, the surprise showing clearly on his face, and asked, "How could you notice from this distance? I wouldn't..." Then he paused for a second, then turned to his right for a few seconds, then to his left for the same amount of time, contemplating which side to go to. While I was looking at him, waiting for his response, I was thinking about him and this planet: do all the people on this planet have the status screen? Can they see others? Like the games on earth, it's a skill you can achieve or acquire through a quest, or is this something for us earthlings on this planet?
Thoughts and questions that don't make any sense at all, and not at the appropriate time or place, but recently I noticed that my mind wondered whenever it liked to wherever it liked, and the sequence of my thoughts doesn't make sense even to myself. Again, suddenly, the status screen appeared in front of me, now with new lines of information.

As soon as I finished reading the information in front of me, I started feeling dizzy from the information that was invading my brain with an incredible speed that didn't take more than ten seconds. I found myself able to understand Analyze everything around me: the fight in front of us and the one behind us. The reasons and objectives were not clear to me, but I was able to understand and figure out the best way to come out safely with our lives in this situation.
Also, there is no way back for us; the only thing that we can do is move forward, so I said, "The best way for us to get out of the predicament is by allaying ourselves with the defending party, and it seems that we don't have much time; from the few words Ajbadan mentioned, it's too dangerous, but our safety goes out of the way if the attacking party wins and reaches their goal, then for sure we are next. I believe the best option is to go where the bigger fight is going on."
