I know that this seems out of character for me. It also wildly contradicts my decision to curb my drinking. I can be spontaneous. Maybe I chose to go out to O’Sullivan’s to prove that.

If anything, I’m alleviating the burden on myself tomorrow by going out with Tom. His thinly veiled criticism over the way I live my life would likely be much worse to take if I’m also hungover. Throwing him this bone might quiet him down.

In addition, Tom isn’t the only one who will be out there tonight. There is a chance that I could run into… I’m sorry, I lost myself there for a moment.
