*Jadan
I watch Yang and Jada fuss over their appearance in the bathroom, trying to look like twins. They have the same hair color and style, but their eyes are different. Jada says we'll have to wear uniforms soon, so won't be able to stand out as much. I take off the gray bandana around my neck and walk closer to the mirror. I'm wearing black flex jeans, brown boots that reach my shins, and a yellow T-shirt. I also have a pair of black shades on my face. Jada says eyes are the windows to the soul, but mine are hidden. How can It see then?
"Jadan put on your jacket. We're leaving soon," Jada calls from the bathroom. I walk over to the bed and slip on my tan jacket.
"Why did you take off your bandana?" Jada asks as she ties it back around my neck. She's wearing a matching gray bandana and an open tan jacket, showing off her yellow t-shirt with our new symbol on it. It's a phoenix sitting on two flaming gauntlets. She also has black shorts and brown boots that almost reach her knees. "I don't like wearing shades," I say.
"Jadan, we've talked about this," she whispers. "It's just for today, okay? Remember what said."
"Yes," I say reluctantly.
"Good. And trying hamburgers was a good idea, right? You like hamburgers now, don't you? You have to give things a real chance," she says patiently.
She hugs me and I hug her back. Then I go back to looking in the mirror.
*Jada
I sigh as I see my brother take off his bandana again. He's usually fine, but sometimes he gets obsessed with something. I'll fix it before we go. I look back at Yang, who's still combing her hair in the bathroom. I march over to stop her from ruining the already combed hair.

...
"Yang!" Ruby shouts as she runs towards us and tackles me to the ground in a hug.
"Hey, Rubes. What are you doing down there?" Yang says, lifting her shades with one hand. Ruby looks down at me and blushes. She gets off me and helps me up.
"Do you like it?" I ask, spinning around. I take a step back and Yang stands up straighter, while Jadan and I lean back and towards Yang from her sides.
"You...you're posing? Stop it before someone sees!" Ruby whispers loudly.
"Heh, it's called cool hero pose of chill," Jadan says.
I smile and wrap an arm around Ruby. "There's room for one more, Ruby. The pose has an empty spot just for you." As Ruby turns pale, Jadan and I start to list all the benefits of having poses ready.
"I can't! The bullhead is starting and that's not safe!" Ruby says. She grabs the closest person and pushes him in front of her. "This is my new friend. We're going to discuss safety regulations on bullheads."
"You embarrassed her so much that her social anxiety went full circle and she made a new friend," Yang says, giving me a thumbs up.
*Ruby
My heart is pounding as I reach the railing of the rising bullhead. I let go of the random guy I just dragged along to escape from that mess. I gasp as my breath gets stuck in my throat. Slowly, I turn to face the stranger I accidentally kidnapped.
"Uh, so I don't really know much, I mean, other than the basic stuff that we hunters in training learn about bullhead safety regulations." He says, scratching the back of his head.
"I... That's okay." I squeak. No, I can still fix this. If he's my friend, then I didn't kidnap him. Smiling, I say "Hi, I'm Ruby Rose. Do you want to be friends?"
"Yes! I mean, yeah, sure. The name's Jaune Arc, by the way. Rolls off the ton-" He stops as the bullhead jerks forward and he grabs the rails as he starts to puke. I pat him on the back and say "Well, at least we're not over the city." As his face turns more green, I take a step back. First day and one friend already. This is going to be a piece of cake.
