Chapter no. 6

I couldn't sleep, as Fuyu had advised. I had to think about my dream. Why did he come back? Why did he dream like that to me now? Is that a memory? Were they really my parents? And that Fuyu..damn it... Why did he say that? Will it hurt me to hurt myself again? What's all this about? I thought vampires didn't exist. I want to go to an orphanage. I want back. I want to live in sweet ignorance. I miss the kids. I miss the governesses.

"I miss you Momo-san..."

"Who is Momo-sama?"

"Aki?! What do you want here?!"

"Hey, relax, why are you fuming? God, you're terrible.."He snorted aloud. He was right. I went after him for no reason.

"Sorry.”

I looked down and started squeezing the covers. Aki smiled a little, put the tray of food on the bedside table, and sat down beside me. I was still playing with that piece of duvet. It was reassuring and I didn't have to look at Aki. Aki, however, grabbed my wrist and, in doing so, stopped my action and forced me to look up at him.

"Who's Momo-san? Your mommy?"He asked, carefully and as quietly as if we were being listened to.

"No. Well, yes, actually. be. I mean, she was my governess. She took care of me like her own. The beginnings were a little rough for me.."

"How so?" He squeezed my hand a little harder as a sign that I didn't have to worry.

"Well . . . I was a very quiet kid, and most of the time I was more of a partisan. I didn't excel at anything at school after that. I wasn't the smartest, or the best in sports, or funny. I was more of a bag that everyone loved to kick. The only person I was talking to was her. I helped her, with cleaning and cooking. Then as an elder with younger children. But I was still mocked. She was my light in the dark."

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"Oh . . . I understand when someone tells you you're weird. That you're...different." Aki's voice cracked.

He began to stare blankly into the corner of the room. I guess he remembered. I took my other hand and put it on his. He stared wide at my hand, and then at me. I smiled and urged him to talk.

"I tried to go to school here on Earth. As a child, I was interested in the human world, and I think I'm pretty smart, so I thought some prestigious high school would amuse me. So I got in, but people didn't like my eyes. I thought those people would be more intelligent when they were in a school like this. But the opposite was true. I suffered their insults. They called me a monster. I was trying to make friends with them. To show them it was a lie, but there was no point. And so I accepted who I was. monster"

"No! Not Aki. You're not a monster. None of you here are monsters. You're good. And your eyes are amazing. Beautiful and original. They are a reflection of you and who you are. You're a unique Aki.”

I looked into his eyes. But not just superficially, but in depth. I searched and imploded in them. There was something different in each eye. In his right yellow eye, Aki was smiling, cheerful and carefree. He was like a little boy who liked to play with fallen leaves and enjoy the sunny days of autumn. But there was another self hiding in his red-tinted eye. His intellectual quiet self. A boy who was a vampire and could destroy everyone, but he was afraid. He was terrified and tried to run away from it all.

Aki broke away and went to the door.

"Thank you, Iruka. You are kind to us."

And he closed the creaky door behind him. I looked at the table. There was rice with meat on a stick and steamed vegetables. I licked myself and got on with it. Oh dear, where does Momo-san come in? This is delicious! All right. Enough loitering. I have to go do something or I'll go crazy. I scrambled out of the wonderfully fluffy duvet and got something to wear and went. I took the tray and went into the kitchen.

"Oh, my God!"I yelped.

I mean, Aki cooks great, but the mess does three times better than the food.

"I'll kill you, Aki."It was hard to get through the teeth.

"Why?"Aki asked suddenly, standing behind me. I jumped up to the ceiling, startled by him.

"What are you doing here?!"

Aki smiled a little and began: "First, I heard my name. Second, Haru sends me for you because she thinks you should know all the facts now. So come on. “

Despite the horrific incident and the realization that my four employers are vampires. I decided to stay.
