Iruka discovered another ability in himself. Is that a good thing or not? Iruk's life seems to be getting pretty complicated. Will he ever find the answers to his questions?
I awoke from my unconsciousness on my own. The sun was setting outside, so I just rinsed off and went about my chores. I didn't sleep at all last night. I kept thinking about my new ability. I'm sure there are some explanations, but when will I find them? There are more and more questions and no answers. I got up and felt the door to the room in the dead of night. I headed to the library. I kept to the wall so I wouldn't trip over something. Unfortunately, even the wall didn't warn me about the stairs to the third floor, and I sprawled on the stairs.
"Damn it!"I swore out loud.
I hope I didn't wake anyone up. Yes, I could have turned on the light, but that would have drawn attention and that's not what I wanted at the moment. I climbed the stairs on all fours. I stopped on the last step when I saw the light coming out of the library. Someone's awake. Cautiously, I followed the light. Gently, I pushed the door open and entered the room. I didn't see anyone.
"Hello?"I called uncertainly into space.
"Iruka?"
"Fuyu? What are you doing here?”
I was a bit confused when I saw the white-haired girl. I took comfort in the fact that he had the same look of surprise as I did.
"I'm looking to see if we have a book. Aki likes to collect books from different worlds since he was a little girl. So I wondered if there might be something more written in one about dragon power."
My pupils dilated further. How does he know it's bothering me? And he wants to help me?
"W-Why?"I stammered in confusion. Fuyu slapped his forehead, then put his cool face back on.
“Because you could see how confused you were and it's obvious you have a lot of questions. So don't stand there and come help me. The fact that you're going to stare like that won't answer your questions."He chuckled and returned to the bookshelves. I just smiled and went to help him.
••••••••••••••••••
It's been, like, two hours since I got here and we haven't found anything. While I was in it, I was standing at one of the shelves, where there was plenty of space available for books. Then a little black hole came out of nowhere, and it sounds like a book popped up. The book, with rainbow scales on its back, was at the very top.
“Fuyu...?"I called to him nervously. I started reaching for it. I was already touching the book with my middle finger, but I was too small to grasp it.
"Shit, why am I not taller?!"I muttered to myself, staggering on my toes.
Suddenly, another hand grasped the book. Fuyu took off the book and walked away triumphantly to the table. I'm sure he was pleased to see me struggling with the height the book was at. I walked up to him. He sat there and watched me come in. He didn't touch the book.
"Then read it."He encouraged me to sit across from him. I didn't say anything. I squee
zed the hem of my T-shirt a little and started walking toward the chair. A lamp shone on the table, illuminating the book's binding. The scales shone brighter now. I turned it toward me. There was a sign in the middle. It was a coiled Chinese snake with a red stone in its mouth. Above it was written 'Ryû no gādian'.
"The Dragon's Keeper."I read aloud to myself.
I stared at the cover of the book for a while, hesitating, but it wasn't that long, I wanted at least a few answers. The page was blank. I looked blankly at Fuyu. He, but he turned his eyes to the book. The golden writing gradually began to appear.
Me and my comrades have found another of the new gates. He already seemed to be hiding evil behind him, but what an unknown to us he was. We inserted a wrench with strange wings that were not birdlike or anything like that into the lock. For a while, nothing happened. Then the silence cut through a terrifying sound I'd never heard before. The gate, which was interwoven with iron and brass, began to open slowly. The creaking sound and harsh light drew us into paradise. Or so it seemed at first glance. I remember my guardian and the other people on my expedition complimenting me and patting me on the shoulder. Now I wish I could change that. Bring so many lives lost back to life. How many of us would have survived if we hadn't opened that gate?

For several days of wandering and exploring, we found nothing out of the ordinary. Only virgin nature surrounded us. Perhaps nothing lived here except birds and insects….
It's all changed, but one day it's changed.. We were walking through the woods when one of my companions suddenly saw a monster. They all cautiously ran down to him. There were four monsters in the clearing. They were huge and scary. They looked like lizards with wings. Sharp claws and no hands. Their leg was four times my size. We then called these monsters dragons.
So many men died examining them. Over a hundred of us arrived, and maybe less than twenty survived. They didn't die in vain. The long-standing exploration of these monsters across their country has borne fruit. We found over 500 species. We understood their behavior. We found out what they did for a living, what conditions suited them or not, but all of this was irrelevant compared to all of it. We found that these dragons also had some magical powers. They were no ordinary animals. She was very intelligent, perhaps more intelligent than most of the races I know. Soon we began to make contact with them, and five years later they began to teach us their charms. People, my people, paid a heavy price to get dragon magic. We named ourselves dragon guardians and returned to our lands. Me and a few other dragon spells were only left in the family, but most of us didn't follow that selfish gesture. And that's how the great age of dragons began.
And yet both the great age of dragons had come and ended quickly. It was as fast as a raw, which suddenly bursts into flames with great and dazzling fire, but dies at the same speed. As always, some races began to abuse this power, and especially the dragons that later joined us. I wish I could have stopped the carnage sooner. Dragons and humans were dying out faster than anyone could tell. The council passed a judgment ending that era. Slaughter all dragons in all countries. I couldn't watch it anymore. I closed the gate and cursed her. I hid the key so no one would find it. If anyone is worthy of breaking the spell and finding the key, I hope they hear this story and keep this ancient and very powerful magic locked away. Enough has been shed of the dragon's blood because of their celestial power. I'm old now and I'm dying. These are my last words. I've spent my life studying dragons, but I haven't been able to protect them. They trusted me, and I failed them. I plucked them from their paradise and brought them to hell. All they have experienced here is death, suffering and grief. Perhaps one day she will forgive my folly....

"What's that supposed to mean? How come I have the power then? Am I descended from one of the expeditions?"
"I can't tell you. The magic of dragons was once taught in the same way as, say, the magic of the elements. But what's more important is that you remember, and what's so certain is that this power is no more. The author of this book experienced both rise and fall. From now on, you have to be careful and you can't tell anyone. No one really knows why the council suddenly issued a council to kill all dragons and their guardians. This book, too, is very rare, and I'm mystified as to how it just appeared here. When you described it to me, it doesn't feel like a familiar spell to me. Even if you don't have a dragon with you, like the dragon guard once did, you can't even use these spells for nothing. Is that clear?”
"I don't understand. Why is this magic no longer used? How come I have a dragon? You've seen it yourself."I blurted out to him. His words made me more confused than reassured.
“A lot of wizards have been killed for this ancient magic. They all wanted that enormous power, and they could do anything to do that. You understand that the magic of dragons is really strong and few who could tame it. With you, the only answer is that it's hereditary, but we don't know for sure."He hesitated for a moment to finish, but he didn't have to. Then he went on: "But with a lot of creatures, this magic is at odds with their magical capacity, and so the force was able to kill them."Fuyu lectured me.
You could see it was probably serious. I thought there was no other way to be different in the world of magic, but there seems to be.
"What about the dragon?"I asked after a moment of silence. There was so much information that at one point I thought sweet ignorance would be preferable.
"I think your dragon is merely like a ghost or an aura. It's not real, when the spell ended, it flew right back into you. "
“O - ok."I stammered and kept thinking.
Fuyu came up to me and drove his hand into my hair. He grabbed them tightly and made me throw my head back. I stared into his magically blue eyes, trying to read at least a little emotion from them.
"Don't be afraid of your power. You're no different or weird. You're delicious. We don't think you're a monster, don't worry. Unfortunately, I only know a tiny bit about this magic, there aren't many records. We're all taught that this power no longer exists, but as you can see, the opposite is true. be afraid"He whispered softly. It was strange to hear him talk like that. With such kindness and attention. I wasn't really used to it, especially from him. He took his hand off my hair and was on his way out. I couldn't just leave it at that. I got up quickly and hugged him. I could only reach his chest, but hopefully he'll understand that I'm very grateful.
