Chapter no. 4 - Secret

Chapter no. 4 - Secret

Young Iruka Huro has just left the children's home. Perhaps by pure chance or force of fate, he got a job at a remote residence that housed four brothers. But what are these brothers hiding behind a secret? Why are they hiding so far from the city?

The fleeting rays of sunlight that fought their way through the curtains forced me to open my eyes. I just stared at the ceiling for a while. It wasn't a dream. I have this great job from which I will easily be able to send my earned money to an orphanage. The children will finally have food. I remembered how sometimes for dinner we just had a crust of bread because there was no money. Momo's governess, she raised money and sponsors as much as she could. Unfortunately, unsuccessfully.

I got up and went to the bathroom. I washed my face and took a shower. Warm drops fell on my toned body. It was refreshing. Afterwards, I opened the curtains. The sun was just climbing the trees up into the sky. The sky was a brilliant yellow with pink tones over the branches of the trees. I climbed into the closet and pulled out a snow-white long sweater. I ran down to the kitchen. I put on my tea and took the rest of the rice and eggs out of the fridge. Meanwhile, the kettle heated the water and I poured myself a green tea. I sat on a bar stool in the kitchen. I didn't go sit in the cafeteria. I don't know why, but I didn't want to sit where my masters sit. And given what was clearly suggested to me yesterday, I didn't want to cause any more unnecessary problems. I happily embarked on a breakfast consisting of plain rice and an ox's eye. And he put one foot on a chair. When I finished eating, I was enjoying the peace and especially the luxury and happiness I have. I closed my eyes for a moment, lost in the memory of Momo's breakfast. We had this so-called Big Breakfast every Sunday. Momo always made it work in mysterious ways. We always had a piece of fish with warm rice and a bowl of miso soup to warm up.

"What are you doing here?"A hoarse voice cut through the silence.

"Eeeeeee" I was so scared I almost fell off my chair. I spilled on my sweater, but I didn't care at the time. I quickly stood to attention. I recognized the voice immediately.

"Sorry, I didn't know anyone was going to be awake, sir."And I bowed.

"Uh-huh."Coldly, Fuyu struck me.

He sat down at the table. I kept a low profile. He was more disheveled than usual. He was kind of cute. He reminded me of sleepy babies. He was wearing only sweatpants and a T-shirt, but even in this outfit he gave me the creeps.

"Are you just going to stand there or are you going to get me something to eat?"

"Yes, sir. Coming right up. Will eggs be suitable?"

"Yeah, whatever, and do it already.”

I quickly went to prepare a meal. God, what's eating this kid so bad? I let it go. While I was preparing my eggs in the skillet, Fuyu stepped into the doorway and leaned against the doorframe. He followed me for the rest of the time. I didn't say anything. He just stood and watched. It was unbearable. I was nervous for him and my hands were shaking. I've had it. I served it neatly on a plate and wanted to break into the room, but what I saw pinned me in place. Fuyu stood smiling slyly. It was strange. He looked like a normal human being. They were only slightly raised corners, but still counted as a smile. My cheeks were blushing. I looked down quickly and reached out a little with my plate.

"Here, sir. Your breakfast." Fuyu paused and put his icy face back on.

He picked up a plate and sat down at the table with it.

"Bon appetit, sir."I whispered as I walked past him. He said nothing. I expected it, too, and went on to change.

Afterwards, I went to prepare breakfast for the others.Breakfast time was almost set. I made them an omelette with vegetables and rice. Fuyu is no longer here, so he can't complain that he had anything else. Haru, Natsu and Aki appeared for a time.

"Good morning, Iruka."I was greeted by each of them and they sat down at the table.

"Good morning, sir."I answered everyone and disappeared into the kitchen.

I went to clean the kitchen. The boys ate it immediately and were nice enough to bring my plates to the kitchen.

"Thank you. You could have left it there in peace. I'd collect it."I said gratefully.

"We can still pick up a plate and take it away. Otherwise today Iruko will be helping Natsu in the garden this afternoon."Haru reported. Natsu smiled warmly at me.

"Well, after I've washed the dishes and tidied up the first floor a bit. I'll come help you, sir."

"First of all, I'm no master of yours. Just call us Haru, Natsu and Aki. Second, when you clean up here, don't go to the third floor, okay?"

"Well. . . Understand."

"Super. See ya in the afternoon ." The boys disappeared like steam over a pot and I went about my business. And the fact that I'd had enough of her. Like I said, I swept, dusted, cleaned their rooms and mine. Afterwards, I made lunch for the boys. Then I ate and washed the dishes again, and then I finally went to see Natsu.

There was a giant garden behind the house. They normally had sit-ins with a fire pit, flower beds and herbs. At the back, the rays bounced off the surface of the samll lake, and last but not least, they had beds of vegetables and some fruit. And that's where Natsu worked. Haru was also here, tending the beds of herbs. It was beautiful weather and perfect for gardening. I wiped my sweaty hands on my pants and went to help.

"Sir. . . Sorry, Natsu, here I am."I announced.

"Cool get a hoe and get to work.”

We've been here for at least three hours. The sun is slowly falling over the horizon. Luckily, we were almost done. I was rummaging in the dirt when suddenly I came across a piece of glass hiding in the soil.

"Damn it!"I swore. I sliced my entire palm in two.

"Iruka, what happened? He asked Natsu worriedly.”

"Nothing. I just cut myself."I replied, showing the hand that slowly began to ooze blood.

Natsu froze. He was staring at my palm. He totally mesmerized her.

"Natsu, what is it? You don't like the sight of blood?" I asked carefully and started to hide my hand.

Natsu said nothing. Suddenly, something incredible happened. I thought this could never even happen. Natsu's whites turned black. His yellow eyes were richer, and his dolls narrowed into thin lines. It was something creepy. I screamed at the top of my lungs. Natsu just smiled, exposing his long fangs to me. I started to back away from the front. I got up and tried to run, but I tripped and fell. That broadened his smile more.

"Oh, no." Haru sighed, terrified, nearby. Before Haru could react in any way, Natsu rushed toward me. That's the end of me. I close my eyes tightly and pray for salvation.

Waiting.. waiting.. But nothing happen. I open my eyes and Fuyu stands in front of me holding Natsa. Where did he come from so fast?!

"Natsu, stop!"He shouted at him briskly, but Natsu was still trying to get to me. Instinctively, I recoiled again.

"I want him." He rasped.

"Aki! Haru! Help me get him to the basement!”

Both showed up at their place in a flash and helped drag him away. He kept looking at me. His eyes and those sharp teeth. It's not Natsu. That's a monster. I have to run. I got up quickly and ran away. I gotta get out of here. I won't be here another minute. What are they? Vampires don't exist! Vampires don't exist! I screamed at myself and continued to trudge along the way. I was running god knows where. I couldn't quite see the road, either. It was getting dark, and the forest was getting denser. I ran for at least 20 minutes. I couldn't do it anymore. I stumbled on a protruding root. I fell to the ground, but the dirt beneath me began to crumble. All I know is how I roll down the cliff. The precipice was full of bumps and rocks. I felt the searing pain of capture. My body was slowing down when I hit right in my temple on that last blow. The muffled pain spilled through the body. I can just feel my eyes closing. I need to rest for a while.
