Ship's Massacre

-" Prepare the hooks! We got a good one, Lads!" The pirate captain smiled as he looked at the size of the ship, he had sailed these waters for a good part of his life, so he instantly knew that this ship was a cargo one.

-" A cargo ship without any scout?" A hooded man who stayed beside the pirate captain spoke. " Isn't this a bit suspicious?"

The Pirate captain showed displeasure at the man's remarks, it was been close to two months since their last plunder, and his crew was getting rowdy so he feared that they were close to mutiny. " You are thinking too much."

The hooded man felt his danger sense tingling, it was like they were approaching the den of a monster, and before he could warn the pirate captain to turn back once again, a dot of light flashed towards them.

His hands moved at incredible speed as he performed a set of arcane runes, yet, the light was too fast, and he only had time to finish half of the runes before they were hit.

The hooded man watched in horror as the spear made of light ripped through the ship's deck, and collided with the main mast, completely destroying it. " For the love of Gaia! What was that?"

The entire crew fell into a frenzy as their ship was hit, some of them ran for cover, while others gritted their teeth and remained in position.

-" Was that a cannon? How can they shoot at us so far away?" The captain of the ship tried his best to calm down, he remembered the warning of the hooded man, and as he was about to order his crew to steer the ship away, another spear of light was already approaching them.

This time the crew and the captain weren't so lucky, as the spear pierced the back of the captain like he was made of paper and flew straight impaling three more people.

-" Tsk, So much for this." The hooded man spit on the body of the pirate captain and shouted. " Drop the sails and turn around! We need to retreat" It was clear that they would all die if they stayed here, so even the most frightened member stood up to steer the ship away.

The hooded man didn't sit still and continued to conjure runes, and this time, he had enough time to finish his spell. Water began to rise and form a bubble that enveloped the entire ship,

The hooded man didn't sit still after finishing the first spell and quickly began to cast another one. He knew that his barrier would stand no chance against the mysterious spear made of light, so he hastily began to reinforce it with another one.

Anxiety gripped the man's heart as he feared that the next attack would come at any second, but, to his surprise, no new spell came and he successfully finished his defenses.

-" Did they give up?" The hooded man was confused, but, he felt relieved that the attack had stopped, however, before he even could turn around a light flashed across the sea toward the ship once again.

He quickly braced himself in preparation for the impact as he thought that this was another light spear, but, when the light finally hit his shield he finally noticed that the light was actually a person.

Vysard flew with force, and smashed right into the magical barrier, making it shatter without any effort. He initially wanted to finish the pirate crew from afar, but, he decided to go confront them face-to-face.

Vysard eyed the hooded man and spoke softly.-" I didn't want to do this, but, it's something necessary." Vysard flashed again, his whole body enveloped in yellow light as he reached the hooded man in an instant.

The hooded man was shocked, he couldn't understand how the man has flown so far, however, before he even could process that an enemy was standing in front of him, he felt his stomach turn and he was sent flying

The man gritted his teeth as he flew away and crashed into the walls of the main cabin.

All the pirates dropped what they were doing and stared fearfully at Vysard, it was clear to them that the youth's sudden appearance meant their death sentences.

-" Fuck off!" One of the Pirates suddenly burst out and jumped in the water.

It only took one pirate to take the initiative to jump, and the rest followed suit, but, Vysard quickly followed the fleeting pirates to the edge of the ship, his eyes shining with yellow light.

He extended his hands towards the sea and grabbed the air, the rest of the pirates who stayed on the ship watched the boy with a mixture of fear and interest, which turned into terror as they saw yellow energy revolving around the ship.

Vysard took a deep breath and made a ripping motion, causing the yellow energy that had gathered around the ship to explode upwards.

The hooded man kept vomiting blood as Vysard's punch had ruptured most of the man's organs, but, he still gathered enough strength to watch the horrific scene.

Yellow energy erupted upwards, and a mixture of water, blood, and body parts shot up following it just behind, and as the energy dissipated, the blood-tainted water began to rain down on the ship, mangled body parts occasionally landed on the ship, making the already terrified crew, even more hopeless.

The hooded man's eyes were full of fear as he gazed at the youth, if he didn't see the terrific scene that the boy caused, he would assume that he was just a harmless young boy, but, he had experienced the demonic power that the boy possessed.

-" Devil!" He shouted with a voice trembling with fear. " The Great Earth will consume you, and spit your dreadful essence in the abyss, where your kind belongs!" The man thought that the boy was some kind of demonic entity that had taken a human shape, after all, he thought that it was impossible for someone to acquire this much power.

Vysard remained silent, he felt a strange type of sadness deep down his chest. A mixture of regret and grief took over him, he began to wonder if killing so many people was his only option.

He took a deep breath and tried to calm down, but, the rain of blood and water only made his emotions even more unstable. -" I'm sorry, I didn't want to do this." Vysard murmured as his hands trembled.

Most of the pirates had taken distance from Vysard, so only a few of them could hear his murmurs.

-" Didn't mean to do this?" One of the terrified pirates suddenly screamed out. " You won't fool me dammed devil!"

Before long, even more, pirates had begun to shout toward Vysard. They all believed him to be some sort of demon that came to reap their souls, some of them even kneeled and began to pray to their deities as they thought that this was a punishment for their wrongdoing.

Visard's emotions grew out of control as he looked at the carnage that he just made, and the constant scream of agony and fear made him even more unstable.

-" Oh Great Mother, I ask that thy won't forsake your child." The hooded man kneeled as he shouted his prayer. " Oh Ancient One, I ask thy to not let this soul fall on the maws of such unholy being"

The man's prayer caused the rest of the pirate crew to drop to their kneel and join him.

Vysard bit his lips as he finally took a hold of his emotions. " How many people prayed just like this as they were robbed by you all?" A glint of rage could be noticed in his tone. " How many families lost their loved ones to your weapons? How many sons and daughters had their parents butchered and thrown in the sea by your hands?" Vysard was initially hesitant on wiping them out, but he couldn't swallow their hypocrisy.

He gritted his teeth in rage and rose his hand. " Scourge like you all aren't fit to walk under the righteous Sun."
