Dillia's Resolve

Thorin's eyes were full of worry as he gazed at Dillia, her mental state was still fragile, and having to fight someone so soon could make it even worse. " Can you handle this, DIllia?"

Dillia wiped the blood from her nose as she focused on the man again. " I will finish this fast." Dillia gritted her teeth, she felt totally disappointed with herself. " Just stay out of this."

Schad's face was dark as he observed Shiy and Janset retreating, he wanted to follow them, but, Thorin was blocking his exit, however, he was relieved to find out that the man wouldn't help in the fight. " Oh? Don't blame me for being rough then." Schad thought that his only way to escape would be to take the girl hostage.

Schad was completely focused on the girl's movement, her speed was the most dangerous thing about her, at least in Schad's opinion.

Dillia took a deep breath as she saw the man get in a defensive stance, the feeling of being underestimated was something new to Dillia.

-" I won't be going easy this time." Yellow energy covered Dillia's palm as she finished speaking and her body flickered as she rushed toward the man.

Schad's eyes widened in surprise as he saw the girl using the yellow energy that he was so familiar with. " A Sun Born?!" Schad had his fair share of experience fighting against Sun Borns from the Eastern Army, so he immediately knew that he should back off.

Unfortunately for him, Dillia's speed was too much and she kept closing the gap, not giving him any space to breathe, and before long he was concerned by her.

-" Don't blame me for being rough." Dillia smirked as the glow in her hands turned brighter in preparation for the attack.

Every strand of hair in Schad's body stood up as he felt the energy from the girl's palm, he twisted his body and gathered his aura on his arms, trying to block the devasting attack.

Aura and Sun energy battled, each trying to overpower the other, however, Schad's aura was too feeble and thin to withstand the aggressive and domineering Sun energy.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

Schad shouted in pain as he felt the Sun Energy corroding not only his aura but also, the skin of his arms.

Dillia's smirk grew wider as she saw the man kick the ground and jump back, hitting the hard wall with enough force to make cracks appear on it.

The glow on her hands never disappeared, and with a thrusting motion, a sword made of light shoot out in the direction of the stunned man.

Schad's face palled as he faced the attack, he swayed his body to the left with the last bit of energy remaining, and barely dodged the attack that grazed his heavily injured right arm.

He gritted his teeth as he felt the flesh of his right arm being slashed, and without strength, he wobbled to the floor. He held the gash in his arm, but, no matter how much pressure he put on it, blood never stopped pouring out.

Panic overtook Schad as he heard the ever-approaching footsteps, and he quickly began to look all over the alleyway for a chance to escape, only to see Janset running past the man at the deep end of the alleyway.

-" Janset! What are you doing?" Schad screamed in agony as he saw her escaping while leaving Shiy to fight. " Come help me! You drank the Emperor's blood, you can fight her!"

Schad's scream caused Shiy to lose concentration and he stopped his barrage of attacks. He gave Schad a baffled look as he couldn't believe what he had heard.

-" You should save the last bit of dignity you have and die like a man." Shiy's tone was serious as he returned his attention to the young man in front of him. " At least try to stall a bit more."

Just from the casual way that the youth in front of him evaded his attacks, Shiy knew that there was no way that they would leave alive. " Are you a Sun Born too?" Shiy's sword began to shine a bright yellow as he pointed it in direction of the young man.

Vysard smiled as he saw the energy, it was incredibly similar to the one that he and the rest of the Sun Blesseds used, but, at the same time completely different.

-" Is this the energy from your Emperor? What was his name again?" Vysard voice had a mocking tone to it, he was extremely curious about what this so-called Sun Emperor looked like.

Shiy didn't let the mockery take his concentration, and kept focused. " Your bloodline... They were blessed by the Sun God." Shiy took a deep breath as he readied his stance. " But you all failed in the only mission he gave him."

Shiy body flickered as he suddenly appeared behind Vysard and slashed at his neck. " The Sun Lands don't deserve to be called that anymore!" The yellow energy condensed on the tip of Shiy's sword, magnifying his slash and sending a wave of energy forward.

Vysard face showed no emotions as he used his bare hands to rip the wave of energy apart. " I would love to see your fake Emperor prove that." A small glint of yellow energy appeared deep inside Vysard's eyes as he faced the man.

Shiy froze in fear as he saw the overpowering gaze of the young man, he bit his tongue as he tried to muster the courage to raise his sword to him again, but, his body didn't move.

Yellow energy began to emanate from Vysard's body, and a gigantic hand made of Sun Energy materialized above him.

Shiy closed his eyes as he accepted his death, however, Janset's sudden scream made him open them again. He dropped his sword as he saw the yellow hand gripping his companion. " Sigh... A complete defeat." Shiy had no desire to fight any longer, as just the gaze of the young monster in front of him had destroyed his spirit.

-" It's just what wait your puny Emperor." Thorin smiled happily as he patted Vysard's head, " Dillia, you can finish that man." Thorin's eyes were full of disgust as he gazed at Schad crawling on the floor. " We just need those two."
