It was already dark when Shiy and his group reached Chaistos, and they went straight to an Inn. Schad wanted to go look for one of the more luxurious ones, but, Shiy never liked the atmosphere on them.

The Eastern land was a poor place, so many of the natives never adapted to the finely decorated and luxurious places, preferring more rustic and simple places, so they settled on a simple Inn near the city center.

-" Tsk, the food here better be good." Schad was disappointed by the quality of the Inn, but, he was too hungry to complain like he usually did.

-" It won't be worse than the food in the camp." Shiy mood improved as they finally could rest for the night, he too was pretty weary of the travel, so he decided to have a few drinks. " Let's eat before going to our rooms."

-" We are from the Eastern Empire army!" Schad let out a shout as he sat down. " Bring us your best food and drinks!"

Schad's voice caused the whole Inn to fall silently, some of the people there looked at him with hateful expressions, however, the vast majority of them were fearful.

Schad smirked as he saw the reaction of the crowd, he loved to flaunt the authority of the Eastern Empire and the power he had for being a part of it.

-" Schad..." Shiy shook his head, he thought that doing things like this would only increase the resentment towards the Eastern Empire. " Try to keep a low profile, I don't want your pride getting in the way of this."

-" What is to worry about? The cowards from the north won't ever dare to raise up against us." Schad continued to delight himself in the fearful expression when his attention was caught by a woman sitting at a nearby table.

The girl didn't look to be a local, and her blonde hair and fine features made her stand out against the crowd. Schad gulped as he gazed at the girl, he couldn't believe how lucky he was to find such beauty on his first day.

-" Hey blondie! Come drink with me." Schad's gaze was full of lust as he called her.

The people inside the Inn all looked at the girl in pity, they all thought that the men at her table would just give her away to become the plaything of the foul man.

But, to everyone surprise, the girl completely ignored the man's calls and continued to eat as if nothing had happened.

-" Hey! I'm talking to you." Schad felt enraged that the girl ignored him. " If you don't come over now, I will fucking drag you!"

-" Schad!" Shiy finally had enough of Schad's attitude as the entire inn was looking at them with enraged eyes.

-" That bitch is ignoring me! Who does she think she is?" Schad completely ignored Shiy and was about to get up when one of the men at her table finally stood up.

-" Looks like your looks enchanted that man, Dillia." Thorin smiled as he grabbed the bottle of wine on top of the table and walked towards them. " Is Sir interested in this girl?"

-" Is she your daughter?" Schad was confused, he didn't understand why the man got up or why he brought a bottle of wine with him." Just bring her to me and she will return safely to you tomorrow."

Thorin continued to smile, he already had his eyes on the group since the man said they were from the Eastern Empire. " Sir, where I'm from a father needs to first share a drink with the man he will bethrow his daughter to."

-" Hah! Bethrow? Are you crazy?" Schad couldn't believe what the man was saying. " If she is good in bed I maybe can let her be my concubine."

-" That works too..." Thorin continued to smile as he poured a cup of wine for the man. " Did you say that you were from the Eastern Empire army?"

-" Stop spouting so much bullshit and bring your daughter to me." Schad was annoyed with the man, but nonetheless, he still drink the wine.

Shiy was looking at Thorin with a mixture of suspicion and confusion, he seriously doubted that the girl was his daughter and they didn't look anything alike, however, what puzzled him, even more, was that the man showed no signs of fear.

-" Oh, I heard great stories about Daalmak, is he your commander?" Thorin's smile grew wider as he drank his wine. "

-" Tsk, Of course, you heard." Schad finished the drink and slammed the cup on the table. " Here I finished the cup, now bring your daughter here and scram."

Shiy grabbed his sword as he felt that the man was too suspicious. " Schad you should stop, this is an order." Shiy's gaze was completely focused on the man. " So what if he is our general?"

Schad noticed Shiy's serious face and calmed down. Only after Shiy's warning did he notice how calm the man was.

Thorin finished drinking his cup and refilled his and Schad's cups again, he laughed softly as he observed the three suns insignia on Shiy's chest. He had studied the Eastern Army before departing, so he was sure that the man was at least a lieutenant.

-" I was just surprised, I didn't expect to find people from the Eastern Army so easily." Thorin gazed at the group as if they were prey waiting for the taking.

Schad's eyes flared in rage as he heard the man. " Do you have a death wish?" He stood up and threw the table in Thorin's direction.

Thorin jumped back and threw the wine bottle in the direction of the group, he wanted to bait them into following him out of the inn as he feared that fighting here would cause too much destruction.

-" Follow me!" Thorin shouted to Dillia and Vysard as he left the inn.

-" We can't let them escape!" Schad's rage only increased as he saw the group running away.

-" Stop now!" Shiy tried to stop Schad from following the man as he thought that this was a trap, but, all his effort were in vain. " Fuck! We need to get Schad." Shiy didn't understand why, but, he suspected that this man was the person that they were looking for.

-" Is he?" Janset had watched the entire scene in silence, and just like Shiy she also suspected that this was the person who fought in the harbor days ago. " What does he want?"

-" Who knows? Shiy stood up and quickly ran out of the Inn in pursuit of Schad.
