Chapter 29 - Discovered

----------------------------------------

“This old man, could I purchase that set of blue silver grass!” A young man called out in a herb store.

This young man was dressed in a bit of an odd get-up to say the least. He clearly had a well developed figure and rich robes, however his pockets were bulging with things!!!

This oddball was precisely Hai Yun, who had concocted far too many elixirs in the past few days. Easily being able to produce nearly 40-50 divine ranked elixirs for his personal use on a daily basis. If he had a way to take things out of the Isle of wailing souls without having to send his entire body into it everytime, he would definitely have done so.

However, this was not the case and in order to fetch any object out of the Isle of Wailing souls, he would have to transport his entire body, thus he was forced to carry any elixir which he might need during the day with him at all times.

Thankfully he had first concocted the pickpocket proof elixir to sprinkle on his clothes so nothing from his pockets could be taken out other than by his hand. A little bit of weight elixirs made the clothing incredibly strong when hit with impact and if anyone other than him were to try and pick up any part of his clothes it feel like trying to pull up Mt. Tai. Thus, despite having bulging pockets, he was not the least bit afraid of getting robbed,

Hell, he had counter robbed a few fools who had tried to cut his pockets out but ended up having their hands crushed because Hai Yun let them lift the pocket opening for a brief moment before letting the weight set it…

The end result, Hai Yun earned lots of money and lots of lackeys in a very short amount of time…

“The Price for this blue silver grass is a single tael of silver per bunch. How many bunches would you be interested in?” The shopkeeper was an old gentleman with a hunched back and wrinkled skin. However his amiable expression gave him a very friendly aura.

“Could I purchase all the bunches you have on hand?” Hai Yun asked.

“A…All…” The old man choked.

Blue silver grass was a herb that developed spiritual awareness at a very early age. It was incredibly tenacious and grew to be nearly two and half meters in length! A single bunch contained nearly 30 of them which was more than enough for a makeshift armor, which was the primary reason anyone ever purchased this herb.

“Boss, didn’t you purchase all the Blue Silver grass from all the major stores already? Why are you even taking it from this measly shop?!?!” Hai Yun’s lackey asked weakly. He obviously knew about Hai Yun’s robes defensive capabilities. He had broken his two favorite knives on it already!

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

However Hai Yun paid no attention to this question at all, “Yes, I would like to purchase everything you have on hand!”

“Brat, what exactly are you doing?” Xue Yi asked. No matter which angle he looked at this situation from, he couldn’t make any sense out of Hai Yun’s actions for the last couple of days. Thus, after seeing how Hai Yun was attempting to purchase all the Blue Silver grass in the entire city, Xue Yi was unable to control his curiosity any further.

“I was waiting for you to ask that!” Hai Yun smiled as the old shopkeeper packaged the Blue silver grass.

Xue Yi snorted.

“Actually, blue silver grass is the herb well known for the incredibly young age it can gain spiritual awareness, however other than becoming a temporary armor filling, no one has found any other use for it. But I have an idea for what it could be very, very useful in making…”

“Che… keep being all mysterious if that’s what you want,” Xue Yi snorted.

Plateau Empire Royal Palace

“Ling’er! How come you’re here?” the voice of a youth who appeared to be no older than 16 resounded in the palace halls.

This young man had incredibly sharp facial features and upon seeing the person who had just entered the main hall his eyes were unable to mask their delight.

The person who entered was precisely the Dark Moon Sect’s little princess Yue Ling’er.

“How rude of you to address me in such a way,” Yue Ling’er playfully smiled, however despite her words she seemed very pleased with the way the young man had referred to her.

“Ha ha ha, if I called you anything else you would probably think I’m possessed or something!” The young man laughed out.

“Why? Do you not like my presence?” Yue Ling’er put on a playful frown.

“No off course not!” The young man hurriedly denied, “I just didn’t know that you would be coming this time around. Do you have some surprise for me?”

“He he, of course! I couldn’t come without bringing any presents!” Yue Ling’er giggled as she spoke this. If a bystander who had no knowledge of her background were to see her face, they would probably mistake her for an immature child.

“Well, don’t keep me in suspense for too long,” the young man scratched the back of his hand as he glanced at Yue Ling’er’s face as if he was immersing himself in a world of bountiful joy.

“He he he.”

….

“You’re sure that he is here?” Hai Gui asked softly. However, the anger and bitterness in his voice was not easily masked.

After being defeated by Yue Ling’er he had been recovering in this manor, but had yet to get out of bed despite two days having passed.

“Indeed young master. The bloodline detector showed that someone with the Hai Clan’s bloodline was in the vicinity. However, the strength of the bloodline was incredibly weak, and after some investigation we discovered that it came from an alchemist in the nearby Lin clan. Thankfully, the old master had altered our bloodline detector so it would reveal the age of the clan members in the vicinity as well. This person is clearly only 13 and the timing of his arrival and everything else matches perfectly with what we would expect if that Hai Yun had come straight here from the Western Isles.”

Hai Gui’s eyes flashed with a cold beam of light as his killing intent seethed. “Find out how he managed to pretend to be an alchemist. There should be absolutely no reason for him to have ever learned any bit of alchemy, and I sincerely doubt those in the Lin family are so dimwitted that they could be fooled by a 13 year old brat still wet behind the ears.”

“understood!” The servant bowed his head as he stepped out of the room.

“Hai Yun, Hai Yun…” Hai Gui clenched his teeth as he slowly muttered this name.
