Chapter 42: Storytime Part 3
Somehow from the tiredness or just unluckiness I had blacked out and been taken down the river. It was from my unluckiness that when I woke up I was in chains. These chains chafed on my wrists as I struggled to pull them off to no avail. I was wet, tired and now a prisoner of someone. The surrounding around me pointed to a human temporary settlement. I had not met many humans at the time but I had guessed from the tent structures and the horses around that these were in fact humans as the visiting merchants who sometimes appeared in our village would carry similar sorts of things. A voice called out to me,
“So you’ve finally woken up,” a voice rang out from behind me, “Haha aren’t you a pretty thing, we found you by the river. You must have been washed up there. It would suck to be you.”
“Wha-What do you want?” I struggled to put on a brave face as I felt completely helpless at the mercy of these unknown humans.
“Nothing much just to sell you on when we get into town.” The voice from behind sounded like it was approaching.
“So you are slave traders!”
“How so very astute of you.” The voice came into view as I discovered my captor, who was dressed all in black leather, “How did you guess? Was it the chains or that you are a prisoner that gave it away?” He sneered as if he said the funniest thing. Others joined in, it seemed this was a gang of Slave Traders who were in the business of stealing our kind and selling us on.
I had never actually believed these people existed, they seemed only like nightmares the elders would tell us to make us behave. All of them had weapons on them, some I had seen others that looked completely alien to me.
“I’ve never seen so many of you animals just wandering around,” The guy who was clearly the leader of this group continued his little rant, “What? Did you guys finally know your place? Below us and serving our every need and whim. If you know what I mean?” He winked as he said that. I felt a chill go down my spine. He repulsed me by his very presence, the look in his eye made me think he thought of us as mere livestock, meant to be traded from one person to the next.
“Screw you! You disgust me! Why don’t you just go fuck yourself,” I tried to put a brave face on, focusing on how he repulsed me to ward off the fear but it really was a temporary measure. I had never been properly outside my village so all of these interactions with these humans were new to me.

“Oh I intend to but It won’t be me, This one is a feisty one lads,” He seemed to be addressing his little bunch of henchmen, “Let’s show her what happens to those who defy us.” The cruel laughter spread around the camp. The man dressed all in black like the reaper himself, dragged me by the hair, I screamed and shouted for help and saw that there seemed to be other types of the beast tribe who were locked and chained up. They didn’t even try to keep eye contact with me, no they avoided eye contact with me. Their spirit seemed broken and completely lost. I continued screaming for help as he dragged me through the camp and into his own tent. I felt so alone, so abandoned by my fellow people. They didn’t even try and protest.
I won’t go into what happened, there he did things to me. Things I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get over. He took away my innocence, both mentally and…physically…

Foxy cried as she was unable to continue the story. How could people do that to her?
“Its okay Foxy, we’re here for you,” I tried to console her, I hugged her trying to see if what had worked on me in my darkest hour would help her as she relieved through probably hers. I felt so helpless….
“Yes Foxy you don’t need to continue if you don’t want to.” Emi looked troubled and worried as she tried calm Foxy down.
“No.” Foxy breathed in and out as she tried to calm herself down, “I’ve decided to talk I might as well get through it.”
“Take your time, we can wait until you are ready, Emi and I will be here with you until you say you don’t need us anymore.”
Emi nodded along with my words, “I know this is hard for you and I can’t even think of what that evil man did with you but if we ever find him we’ll give him exactly what he deserves.”
“Thanks Emi, and Clover. It’s tough but I think I need to tell it someone.”
After a few minutes Foxy had calmed sufficiently down, Emi had gone downstairs and brought up a hot cup of tea to sooth Foxy and that seemed to do the final trick allowing Foxy to collect herself and continue with her story.
