Article 25 - War! - War Report 3

26th February

By all of God's kissing their feet in adulation, we have a species war With Vampires against Werewolf, not the most novel war in our opinion a classic indeed. However, the world has changed over the years since the last V and W war, specifically 1935, was the recent major conflict lasting about half a year, which ended in a stalemate.

Let's not talk about the past but look at the recent updates in this now official war. Elder Thorpe took lead in a Grey council session as a representative of the Werewolf league, and to inform the council about his accidental escapade.

Starting off strong the hairy Elder Thorpe strode into the full chambers and first wanting to clear the air with ease tossed a dozen thick chains with some grey stone attached to the ends of them. Putting a pile of pictures onto the table beside them before addressing the council.

"Here before you are the chains of my former containment unit and these pictures show you the gaping hole where I used to stay at the peak. And as for the future I've already requisitioned a new containment to be built for my more energetic self.

As for my accidentally cubing, I'll take full responsibility and adopt him into my clan where he can train to control himself as a Scion of a Werelord."

The room bristled with conversation and shock as it had been near a hundreds since a Werelord had risen.

For the Dark Times reader who may not have knowledge of the upper echelon of power within werewolves. A Werelord is power level above Elder, which in turn is simply an ancient werewolf who has mastered their transformation and control when uncontrollable.

However, it is often the case that when in dire need or through, extreme training that was thought lost with the last Werelord.

They lose complete control of their bodies for a series of days and nights. Often being an unstoppable force in the process. The theory is that while they've lost control, they are in essence, soul searching, looking for the source of the transformation. If they find it then a Werelord is born, this title isn't exclusively werewolf since any were-creature can become one. However, throughout history, the vast majority have been werewolves.

In the process of becoming one, they, of course, become much stronger and gain insight and cooperation from the other were-creatures. Allowing those near them to transform or to stop them.

Once the council chamber had settled to the news, the human speaker stepped forward to speak, "Haha, great news for the werewolf league to see the return of the Werelords…"

After calling for anyone who wanted to speak against the Werelord. With him taking responsibility with an understandable reason for the accident and having informed the council of what will happen, they will excuse the accident as one. Restrengthening the Pact, they ask the Vampires council member if it was acceptable to forgive them.

To the shock of everyone, Lord Thorpe, interrupted the speaker, "I'm sorry to interrupt the council, but I'm sure that Mark, the council Member has no recourse to forgive me. I have evidence and plenty of it that our vampire friends here had broken the Pact long before I had my accident." Chucking out a file onto the table where pictures of some type of ritual were being formed.

As the pictures weren't released publically, we can only postulate the exact rituals with them. If we're to believe what the newly crowned Werelord is, it would be a Makers binding ritual, it isn't to make new vampires, it's to bind a freshly made vampires to a master. Since any newly created vampire has an unquenchable thirst for blood. They link their emotions to an older vampire for those new vampires to learn and get those urges under control from those wiser, of course. Those vampires then serve their masters in return. Unlike there young

Back in the chamber there was a lot of shouting from everywhere, with the council having lost control they closed the session in order to review the evidence.

The argument carried itself out of the chamber and onto streets where inevitable fights broke out between both sides.

Then it happened, it's that very same day in the evening that a rogue figure was seen in an alleyway when a body of a vampire was found torn and eviscerated. With smell and DNA of Werewolves being found in the area. Predictable the two species, pointed at each other and accused each other of murder.

The Werewolf League spoke that this "murder was designs of the Vampire Houses to shift focus from their own investigation, by blaming the Werewolf clans in a pathetic distraction.

Meanwhile the vampires' response, they were outraged at the weakness of a Werewolves surprise attack some declaring that they'll avenge their fallen Vampire. The leaders of the Vampire are under immense pressure from their peers, as shouts for war to quell the weak, upstarts that are the Werewolves.

But they seemed resident as it was the end of the night and no declaration.

However, during the day a Human came across a scene which destroyed its fragile mind. As another Vampire had been ripped and torn apart, as the CSE investigates they again found evidence of Werewolves presences. And as of tonight, the door that was built over centuries had burst, and Vampire Houses declared war against the Werewolf league.

This is just speculation, but it seems as if the leaders of the Vampires Houses seemed not at all enthusiastic he looked as if he was eating dirt. Even though they've suddenly gained a lot of freedom to make new recruits, it is speculated that Mark was forced to declare war, why we don't know. The Vampire houses are in an excellent situation. The Houses have grown steadily for the last hundred years, the survival rate of those vampires was 99.89%. Hence, a high number of them are older Vampires having gained power over the years.

The Werewolves, on the other hand, have quite high birth rates. Still, their survival rates are around 72% as the near-constant battles with themselves and other clans.

As of today, the two articles preceding this one will be a part of the War Report series.
