We finally make it to the end of the meadow with a small stream and a waterfall. The waterfall is flowing in the wrong direction. It’s rising from the stream. A dark green forest is right by the waterfall. It has now been two days since we left Azent Kingdom and only one more day left until we reach Toy Town and find the old man. On the way, we have berries and fruit to eat that Tigeron found in the green meadow.
My legs can’t take the walking anymore. “Boy, I am so tired,” I moan.
Megan stops and pants. “Me too,” says Megan.
Tigeron searches around with his sharp tiger eyes to see if there are any Screaming Meanies approaching, but so far there are none on the site. Tigeron sniffs the air and senses no danger around.
Tigeron turns back to Megan and me. “You guys better get some sleep and so must I,” says Tigeron.
Megan and I nod and lay on the soft green grass. Tigeron kneels by us to guard us against danger if there is any.
“In the morning we shall reach the mountain of the Gargoyles. Then after that, we shall reach Toy Town in a matter of hours,” says Tigeron.
Tigeron turns his head away from me and stares at the dark green forest up ahead of him. I do not feel like sleeping at all. Sure my eyes want to close and dream, but I don’t want to. Not while I am thinking about my mom and dad back at home. I grab my cell phone from the right pocket pants and type my mom’s phone number. I place my cell phone on my right ear. There is no answer from the other side of the connection. It’s just the stupid message machine.
“The number that you have reached is no longer connected. Please try again later,” says the answering machine.
“Come on,” I whisper in frustration.
I dial the same number again and the machine answers again.
“The number that you have reached is no longer connected. Please try again later,” says the answering machine again.
“Shut up and connect now!” I whisper with even more frustration.
I hear Tigeron’s footsteps walking up to me. I put my cell phone in my pants pocket and close my eyes.
I feel a warm furry hand on my right shoulder. “Daniel,” says Tigeron.
I do not turn around. I do not want to talk to anyone right now.
Tigeron clears his throat. “Whenever I cry, I feel weak and in danger, but I find a way to make my weakness into strength. When I am afraid of danger, I find a way to restore my bravery. I will help you and Megan find a way back to your Earth world. We’ll find a way,” says Tigeron, softly and quietly.
Tigeron turns away from me and continues watching for any danger that might be lurking nearby.
The morning breaks into white clouds. The air feels wonderful and warm. The birds are chirping and the waterfall sounds smooth and relaxing to me. I open my eyes and rub them. I yawn and get up to stretch my body. The morning dew is on the grass and it is a little foggy today.
I hear a crack. Something is in the woods. I search around to see what might be in the woods but the fog is too thick to see anything. I hear another crack, but this time it sounds very close. Something is still moving in the woods. I look up ahead and see a white tiger in the fog.
I run after it without waking up Megan or Tigeron. I run as fast as I can to catch up to the white tiger, but he is very fast. He jumps from tree to tree but I keep my eyes on him. I do not look away and I keep watching and chasing the white tiger. I stop to catch my breath and I pant rapidly. I hear a low growl behind me. It is not too close. It is at least seven feet away from my back. I turn to see who or what might be growling.
I can barely see what is growling because of the thick fog. What I see is crouching down like a tiger.
“It’s just a tiger. I hope it’s not a wild one,” I whisper to myself.
The white tiger nods his head in response to my talking. Then it slowly gets up and stands on its two legs. I gasp. It is the same white tiger that I was chasing in the woods. “Are you a Humanimal?” I ask.
The human white tiger shakes his head.
“Can you speak?” I ask.
“Yes,” the human white tiger answers with a voice that sounds like a normal teenager.
“Who are you or what are you,” I ask.
“I am a Siberionbeast. My name is Tiberius. I am the son of my father, Siberionman. I am not evil like my father and neither is my mother. But my father is evil enough,” answers the white human tiger.
“Why are you here?” I ask.
The white human-tiger Tiberius walks closer to me. I start to back away from him.
“Please don’t run. I just want to know,” begs Tiberius.
I stare into Tiberius’s green tiger eyes. The eyes look brave and yet sad. “Know what?” I ask.
Tiberius rubs his furry muscular chest. “I want to know if you are the hero that can save us all. Are you?” asks Tiberius.
I shake my head. “I am sorry, I don’t know what you are talking about,” I answer.
Tiberius takes a deep breath and sighs and then sits down on a log. I sit down by Tiberius and wait for his response.
“When potions and sorcerers meet
Two are good one is full of dread
Two shall stand one shall not greet
Eight years shall go by
If the mightiest Bearon shall fall
A champion shall be shown in the sky
As two suns shall peek
Over the snow and the stone
And one sorcerer shall seek.
In eight days the king shall cry
But our hero, our chosen one shall arise,” says Tiberius.
“What are you talking about?” I ask.
Tiberius is about to answer me when a voice in the woods interrupts him. “Daniel!” the voice shouts.
The voice sounds familiar. “Sargen, I mean Daniel!” shouts another voice.
The other voice sounds familiar too.
Tiberius taps my shoulder to get my attention. “Can I come with you on your quest? Please?” begs Tiberius.
“Why do you want to come with me?” I ask.
“My mother, Siberionwoman, has sent me on a quest to find the Chosen One,” answers Tiberius.
I feel knots in my stomach. “Chosen one? What are you talking about and what did you say before? Was it a poem or a prophecy?” I ask.
Then I hear loud footsteps in the woods. It is Megan. “Oh there you are,” says Megan.
Megan sees Tiberius sitting by me.
“Who is that?” asks Megan.
“This is Tiberius, the son of Siberionman,” I answer.
“Who is Siberionman?” asks Megan.
“Siberionman is an evil human Siberian Beast,” I answer.
Tigeron runs to Megan and pants for breath. “Where is Daniel?” Tigeron pants.
Megan points to me. I get off the log and run to Tigeron. “Tigeron, don’t be alarmed, and take it easy,” I say.
Tigeron is still panting for breath. “About what?” asks Tigeron.
“About the son of Siberionman…” I turn to where Tiberius was but he is nowhere in sight.
I search with my eyes to find him. “Tiberius was here,” I say.
Tigeron looks around to see who I am talking about.
“Who is Tiberius?” asks Megan.
I turn to Megan with frustration. “I told you, Meg. He’s the son of Siberionman. You saw him a few seconds ago on the log sitting by me,” I answer.
I continue to search the forest with my eyes to find him. I search in the trees but I cannot see anything because of the thick fog. Tigeron stops panting and breathes normally.
“We better get out of here before the fog gets too thick,” says Tigeron.
I turn back to Tigeron. “But Tiberius was here, he spoke to me, and he spoke of a prophecy and a Chosen One,” I say.
Megan walks up to me. “Prophecy? What prophecy?” she asks.
I snap my fingers in frustration as I try to remember the prophecy. But Tiberius said so many words that I can’t remember them.
“I can’t remember! I think that it was about a Chosen One and three sorcerers or something,” I answer.
Tigeron puts his right hand on my left arm. “Look, we don’t have time for this. If we are going to make it to Toy Town before nightfall we’d better get moving,” says Tigeron.
Megan taps Tigeron’s shoulder. “Tigeron, I could have sworn I saw Tiberius a few seconds ago,” says Megan.
“It must have been your imagination. Now we better get moving,” says Tigeron.
The fog clears away. Tigeron leads the way out of the dark green forest. We are on our way to Toy Town again. I am still thinking about the prophecy and Tiberius's quest. Tigeron looks down at me.
“Daniel. Siberionman and Siberionwoman killed their son at birth. At least that’s what the rumors say,” says Tigeron.
“Look I know what I saw and Megan saw him too!” I shout.
Megan seems like she doubts me. “Barely, there was so much fog I could hardly even see who was there,” says Megan.
I scoff at Megan. “You’re saying that now after what you just saw in the forest?” I ask.
Megan turns to me. “Look I don’t know what I saw,” says Megan.
“Well I do and it wasn’t just in my mind,” I say.
I feel like I don’t want to talk about it anymore. They think that I saw nothing.
We continue walking. We pass some dark mountains and grassy meadows. Megan is getting tired from walking. Tigeron carries Megan on his back. I don’t feel like being carried. I don’t feel like waking up with Tigeron or Megan. I know what I saw. Or do I? I don’t know. All I know is that Tiberius told me the prophecy of the Chosen One.
On the third day, we reach the mountain of the Gargoyles. It looks very large with lots of brown rocks. Tigeron sees a path with walls on both sides. The path is about three miles long.
Tigeron points at the path between the mountain of the Gargoyles and another mountain too. “We have to go through that path to go around the mountain,” says Tigeron.
I stare at the path between the mountains. “What’s in those two mountains?” I ask.
“The right mountain has Gargoyles, mighty warrior Gargoyles, and the left mountain has Demons. Lots and lots of terrible scary Demons,” answers Tigeron.
Megan’s face is pale and her eyes widen. “Real Demons?” shivers Megan.
Tigeron nods. “Yes, real Demons. Don’t worry we are safe outside of the mountain,” answers Tigeron.
Megan tugs onto my right shoulder. “Daniel, I’ve always been a nonbeliever in Demons, but now I am not so sure.” Megan shakes.
She holds onto my left arm. I notice that she seems very scared.
The yellow sun lowers behind the mountain. We are now in the shadow of the two mountains. We start walking between them. I hear a very loud roar. It sounds like a lion and a screeching bird. Megan holds on to me very tight.
Tigeron picks both of us up and holds us. Tigeron walks faster to get to the other side of the path between the mountains. Megan cannot stand the sounds of the Demons she covers her ears and start breathing heavily.
“I can’t take it anymore!” she screams.
I too can’t take the sound, just because it’s bothering me. I feel like I want to shout shut up to the Demons inside the left mountain, but I know they won’t hear me. “Hang on we are almost away from the mountains,” I say.
Megan and I slip off Tigeron’s shoulders and run as fast as we can to get away from the terrible screeching sounds. Tigeron runs as well. But the terrible roaring sound is following us. I run even faster with my legs pasting and hurting a little. The Demon sounds even closer as if it’s following us.

“Hurry!” I shout.
I can see the end of the path between the mountains. We all run faster. Finally, we made it to the end of the path.
“Were those Demons in the left mountain following us?” I ask.
Tigeron stares at the mountain and growls. “I think they were. We Humanimals aren’t the only ones who know you two Earthlings have arrived. I bet one of the Screaming Meanies had told Horror and Horror must have spread the news. Or it could have been a Humanimal that spoke to a Gargoyle. I don’t know how this rumor started.” Tigeron shakes his head.
Tigeron turns back to Megan and me. “I will protect you until you get home.” Tigeron pounds his right fist on his chest.
I hear the loud screeching from the left mountain behind me. “Shall we continue?” I ask.
Tigeron nods and begins to lead away from the two mountains. Noon passed and we finally made it to Toy Town on the third day, which is today. My feet feel very sore. The sight of Toy Town kind of look’s like a very small town. As we walk to the middle of Toy Town, we all feel like giants in the town, especially Tigeron who is much bigger than Megan and me. The little huts are made out of wood and tree bark. They have shapes of, triangles, circles, and squares. It looks like a kindergarten school or a preschool with shapes of wooden huts. And the huts glitter in the sunlight with the dew rooftops.
There are many Toys in the village that look like animals. Foxes, bears, badgers, mice, dogs, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, rats, gorillas, and skunks. Most of them are standing on two legs, even the four-legged ones.
A tiny spotted Dalmatian toy pops out of the wooden triangle hut. She stands on her two legs as a normal person does. Her black beady eyes just stare at Megan. With her cute tiny squeaky voice, she begins to speak.
“Mrs. Kong!” the little Dalmatian toy calls.
The little Dalmatian toy runs to a seven-foot-circle hut. The hut is bigger than the other huts in the town. Another toy comes out of his round wooden hut. It looks like another toy dog. Only this toy dog has brown fabric, white ears, and a hole in his back. His voice sounds like food in his mouth. But there isn’t any food.
“Mr. Kong!” the brown toy dog shouts.
The toy dog runs to the same hut that the little Dalmatian is running to. “What are you doing, Spotty?” the brown toy dog asks the little toy Dalmatian.
The little Dalmatian rolls her eyes. “I want to tell Queen Kong that there are visitors,” says the Dalmatian.
Spotty growl’s at the brown toy dog. “Look Jimmy…” says Spotty.
“It’s Timmy, Spooty!” shouts Timmy the brown toy dog.
“It’s Spotty!” Spotty shouts back.
“I want to tell King Kong that we’ve got visitors!” shouts Timmy.
“No I think Queen Kong should be the one to know!” shouts Spotty.
I watch as the two toy dogs are arguing. We all walk to Timmy and Spotty. I try to get their attention, but they just continue arguing. I turn to Tigeron. And Tigeron lifts his shoulders. He seems like he doesn’t know what Timmy and Spotty are arguing about.
“King Kong should know!” shouts Timmy.
“No Queen Kong should know!” Spotty shouts back.
The door of the larger circle hut bursts open. Two toy gorillas stand in the doorway. The female toy Gorilla is dark red with red lips and green eyelashes. Her mouth, chest, and belly are dark gray. She does not look very happy as she sticks her lips out with anger. The male toy Gorilla is dark brown with a light gray mouth, chest, and belly. The two toy gorillas look like normal gorillas but with black beady eyes, and hands that look like mittens, and they are at least five feet tall.
“If you want to tell me something, just tell me instead of arguing!” shouts the female toy Gorilla.
The male toy Gorilla pounds his chest. “Got it?!” he shouts.
Timmy and Spotty, the two toy dogs, pout. “Ok,” they both whispered.
The dark red female toy Gorilla clears her throat. “Now what was it that you guys wanted to tell us?” she asks.
Spotty and Timmy clear their throats. They are about to say what they want to say when Tigeron interrupts them.
“They just want to tell you that there are visitors. And we are the visitors, Queen Kong and King Kong of Toy Town,” answers Tigeron.
King Kong, the dark brown male toy gorilla, laughs at Tigeron and shakes his right hand. “Tigeron, good to see you old friend. Good to see you,” says King Kong.
Spotty and Timmy both complain and fold their arms. “He said what I was going to say.” Spotty grunts.
“Not unless I have gotten here first,” whispers Timmy.
Spotty turns to Timmy and growls at him. “Ooooooo! I heard that!” shouts Spotty.
“I said it for you to hear,” says Timmy.
“Oh shut it,” whispers Spotty.
“What was that?” mocks Timmy.
“I said shut it!” repeats Spotty.
Queen Kong notices Timmy and Spotty are arguing again. King Kong and Tigeron both roll their eyes. Queen Kong clears her throat. “Excuse me for a second,” says Queen Kong.
Tigeron and King Kong both nod. Queen Kong leaps backward and lands right in front of Spotty and Timmy. “You two stop this right now! We have visitors!” shouts Queen Kong.
Spotty and Timmy ignore Queen Kong as they continue to bicker. Queen Kong takes a deep breath. Tigeron and King Kong both cover their ears, and Megan and I do the same. Queen Kong pounds her fists on the ground near Timmy and Spotty.
“AAAAUUUUHHHHHGGGGG!” roars Queen Kong.
Her roaring sounds like a bad opera singer with a hint of an angry gorilla roar. Spotty and Timmy freeze in fear and both look up at Queen Kong.
“Ok,” they both shake.
Queen Kong pats the two toy dog’s heads. “Just remember to not bicker when we have guests. Just don’t bicker at all.” Queen Kong turns back to Tigeron.
King Kong walks up to Megan and me. He sniffs us and lets out a quiet grunt. “Who are these two children? I’ve never sensed their smell before,” asks King Kong.
I assume that King Kong is saying that we stink. I sniff my right arm and Megan does the same. We both do not smell anything terrible.
Tigeron points at me. “This is Daniel Mark Tony,” says Tigeron.
Queen Kong comes to me and kisses me on the right hand. “Welcome to Toy Town,” she says.
I nod with a smile. Tigeron points at Megan. “And this is Megan Dale Deluw,” says Tigeron.
King Kong takes Megan’s right hand gently and kisses it. “Welcome, my lady, to Toy Town,” says King Kong.
Megan chuckles nervously. “Thank you,” says Megan.
Queen Kong turns back to Tigeron. “So, where did they come from?” she asks.
“They are from the Earthling World,” answers Tigeron.
King Kong and Queen Kong both widen their eyes and gasp. “You mean he is the boy that came here about eight years ago?” asks King Kong.
I feel very confused about what King Kong just asked. Megan seems confused too and so does Tigeron. “I beg your pardon?” asks Tigeron.
Queen Kong winks at Tigeron. “You heard my husband,” says Queen Kong.
I shake my head and grab the straps of my backpack. “Excuse me, but I have never been here before. This place does not seem familiar to me at all. This is the first time I’ve been to this new world and the same with Megan. I’ve never been here before,” I say.
King Kong slowly turns to me with a moping expression. “Are you sure?” he asks me.
I begin to stutter with gibberish then I calm myself. “I’m sorry, but I have no memory of this place. I don’t know this new world. I told you this is my first time here,” I say.
Megan nods. “Our first time here,” she says.
I nod back at Megan. King Kong roughly sighs and rubs his cute fluffy chest. “Well, we must be mistaken. If you were the boy that came here about eight years ago then you would not be what you are now. And that’s a confused human being. I’m sorry that I mistook you,” says King Kong.
I pat King Kong’s back. “It’s ok, mistakes happen sometimes. May I ask what this boy looked like?” I ask.
Queen Kong walks up to me and sits by King Kong. “We can’t remember what the boy looked like, he was very young and full of excitement,” answers Queen Kong.
Then Queen Kong taps on Tigeron’s leg. “Can we speak to you for a second?” asks Queen Kong.
Tigeron nods and turns to Timmy and Spotty. “Timmy, Spotty, I want you to meet Daniel and Megan. Why don’t you two talk to them and get to know them?” suggests Tigeron.
Megan nods but I do not. I am wondering why Queen and King Kong want to talk to Tigeron alone. Timmy and Spotty both seem very excited to talk to Megan and me. I sit by Timmy and Spotty sits by Megan.
King Kong leads Tigeron and Queen Kong into the large wooden circle hut. Tigeron enters with Queen and King Kong. It is kind of small for Tigeron as he hunches with his head touching the ceiling. Inside the round hut, there is a tea set on a red wooden table. Purple curtains dangle on the right and left round windows. A fireplace with stockings is across from the door.
King and Queen Kong sit on round wooden chairs. “Please have some hot cocoa,” says Queen Kong.
Tigeron blushes and chuckles nervously. He sits on another round wooden chair. The chair breaks and Tigeron lands on his backside. Tigeron blushes and rubs the back of his head.
“Um…sorry,” chuckles Tigeron.
Queen Kong does not get angry. She simply sweeps up the broken chair. King Kong takes a sip of his brown hot cocoa. “It’s ok.” He lowers his teacup. “That’s not the first time that’s happened. Please kneel and enjoy my wife’s hot cocoa,” says King Kong.
Tigeron kneels on the floor in front of the wooden table. Tigeron takes a white tea cup and sniffs it. He sighs and licks his tiger chops. He tastes the hot cocoa with his tongue. Queen Kong sits by Tigeron and sips her cup too. “So, where did you meet this boy?” asks Queen Kong.
“They saved me from a Screaming Meanie. Well, Grizzlyon saved me but the kids were with him,” says Tigeron.
King Kong set his white tea cup down. “How is Grizzlyon?” asks King Kong.
“He’s still living in the forest of M. He likes the outdoors. Which would explain his Bear form. Even when he was human he loved the outdoors better than Azent Kingdom,” answers Tigeron.
Tigeron chokes on his cocoa. He just remembered something. He coughs and clears his throat. “The reason why I came here is to find the old man. Rumor has it that this old man is from the human world. We came here to find him. Is he here?” asks Tigeron.
Queen Kong puts her cup down. “I have not seen him for many weeks,” says Queen Kong.
King Kong sets his cup down too. “Neither have I,” he says.
Tigeron sighs and rubs his head. “But King Feeon said that he would be here. At least that’s what Daniel told me,” says Tigeron.
“Well, I’m sorry, he is not here,” says Queen Kong.
Tigeron gets up, hits his head on the ceiling, and looks out of the window. He watches Megan and me playing with Timmy and Spotty far away from the hut.
“What am I going to do? Daniel and Megan want to return to their world but to do that I need to find the old man,” says Tigeron.
I am petting Timmy’s back. Timmy pants like a normal dog. I think he is so cute. But I cannot stop wondering what Queen Kong, King Kong, and Tigeron are talking about in the hut. Megan is too busy petting Timmy and Spotty so I sneak up to Queen Kong’s hut. I place my ear on the wall to hear what they’re saying.
“I am sorry, but we can’t do anything,” says Queen Kong.
“You don’t have to be sorry. Just tell me where the old man is,” says Tigeron.
“He is in a place where creatures always sting their prey,” says King Kong.
Tigeron gulps with fear. “You mean the place of those deadly big bugs?” asks Tigeron.
“Yes, the Scorpiono tunnels,” says King Kong.
The words Scorpiono Tunnels sound bad. Bad and very scary. Not to mention very dangerous. After all, I hate bugs. I continue to listen.
“We need to find the old man! I’m going to look for him!” shouts Tigeron.
“Are you insane?” says King Kong. “If you go down to the tunnels the Scorpionos will not hesitate to kill you. They will sting you and their stinging feels like fire. They are bigger than you. You will not survive!” shouts King Kong.
“But what are we going to do?” asks Tigeron.
Queen Kong sighs and places her hand on her head. “The old man is a sorcerer. He will survive,” answers Queen Kong.
Tigeron pauses for a dramatic effect. Then he laughs.
“Why are you laughing?” asks King Kong.
“Now I know that he will bring them home,” answers Tigeron.
“And why is that good news?” asks Queen Kong.
Tigeron thinks for a moment and snaps his fingers. I continue to eves drop on the outside of the hut.
“How can the old man learn about the real world?” asks Tigeron.
Queen Kong lifts her shoulders.
“Did it ever occur to you that he is from the real world?” asks Tigeron.
When I hear what Tigeron is saying, excitement fills my stomach. “Finally, we can go home,” I whisper to myself.
Queen Kong sighs in sadness.
“It is still too dangerous, even for a mighty Humanimal warrior like yourself,” says Queen Kong.
“Oh come on! We have battled Screaming Meanies. And let me tell you something, that kid Daniel is a brave kid. He saved my life from a Screaming Meanie! He also beat Bearon the mighty champion in combat. So don’t tell me that it’s too dangerous to find a way to get them home!” burst Tigeron.
Queen Kong shakes her head. “Look, my husband and I don’t have time for this. We have to figure out the prophecy,” says Queen Kong.
“What prophecy?” asks Tigeron.
King Kong sighs very loudly. “Seriously, you don’t get out much, do you?” he asks.
Tigeron still seems like he does not know about the prophecy. Queen Kong begins to tell it.
“When potions and sorcerers meet
Two are good one is full of dread
Two shall stand one shall not greet
Eight years shall flow by
If the mightiest Bearon shall fall
A champion shall be shown in the sky
As two shall peek
Over the snow and the stone
And one sorcerer shall seek.
In eight days the king shall cry
But our hero, our chosen one shall arise.”
This sounds exactly like the prophecy Tiberius told me.
Tigeron just stares at Queen Kong. “You are worried about a prophecy while the two children are desperate to get home?” asks Tigeron.
“We’re sorry,” King Kong apologizes.
Tigeron growls at King Kong.
“I expect more from you, you mighty toy warrior. You used to be a great warrior in this town. You used to go on adventures with me and Grizzlyon. You were the best ax fighter that ever lived. You were ancient, bold, and strong,” says Tigeron.
King Kong shakes his head. “Many battles can change a Toy and I’m not the warrior I once was. I am old and tired of battles. I just want peace now,” says King Kong.
I feel very upset with what I just heard in the hut. Queen Kong would rather figure out a dumb prophecy than help me. And King Kong used to be a fighter but will not help Tigeron? I walk away from Queen Kong’s hut feeling very frustrated. I passed by Megan, Timmy, and Spotty. They notice that I am upset. Megan gets up to follow me.
Timmy and Spotty follow Megan. “Where is he going?” asks Timmy.
“I don’t know but he looks very upset,” answers Megan.
I walk past all of the huts in Toy Town. I see a very large hill up ahead and run to it. I run up to the top. I look at the sky and dark clouds start to swirl slowly over me. I take out my cell phone, type my mom’s number and hold it up to the sky.
“Come on, let it work,” I beg.
The cell phone rings and the answering machine answers again. “The number that you have reached is-” I close my cell phone and grunt.
A cold wind blows very hard. Lightning strikes in the dark sky. It looks like another storm is coming.
I look around to see if there are any higher hills, so I can get a signal. I see a flat mountain up ahead and it seems very high as it touches the dark stormy clouds. What I want to do seems very dangerous, but I have to try to get a signal on my phone. I run down the hill and head straight for the mountain. Megan, Timmy, and Spotty all run up the same hill.
“Come on!” shouts Megan.
Timmy runs on his four legs, and Spotty runs on her two legs. “Keep up!” shouts Timmy.
“I am keeping up!” shouts Spotty.
Megan, Timmy, and Spotty finally make it to the top of the hill. Megan searches to find me. “Where is he?” she whispers.
Megan sees me about a mile away on a grassy field. Timmy and Spotty can see me too. “Daniel! What are you doing?!” they both shout.
I hear Timmy’s and Spotty’s voices and I turn my head to them. I stare at Megan and she stares at me. I show Megan my cell phone and point at the mountain.
Megan gasps and shakes her head. “Don’t do it,” whispers Megan.
I nod and run to the high mountain.
Timmy looks up at Megan. “What’s he doing?” asks Timmy.
Megan does not answer, she just runs after me. I run faster. Timmy and Spotty both run behind Megan.
“I shall repeat. What is he doing?” asks Timmy.
“He is trying to get a signal from the top of that mountain and he knows it’s very dangerous!” shouts Megan.
I notice Megan running down the hill. I finally make it to the bottom of the high mountain. I look up and see dark clouds covering the very top. I do not freeze in fear. I start climbing to the top. Megan runs to the bottom of the mountain.
“Can you see him?” asks Spotty.
Megan sees me climbing on the high mountain. Stormy clouds cover my path as I climb. I cannot see the top or the bottom anymore. I take a deep breath and continue climbing up.
Spotty starts to panic. “I can’t see him! I can’t see him!” shouts Spotty.
Timmy points up. “He is in the clouds!” Timmy shouts.
I keep on climbing; even though I cannot see where I am going. The rain makes the rocks slippery, so it’s harder to climb.
“This is a suicide,” I whisper to myself.
I start to feel paralyzed, then shake my head and continue climbing up. Megan, Timmy, and Spotty are afraid to climb the high mountain.
“I can’t find him!” shouts Megan.
Spotty looks up and sees the dark clouds as they twist and twirl. The rain makes Spotty soaking wet. Timmy laughs at Spotty.
“You’re soaking wet,” laughs Timmy.
Spotty makes a ferocious face at Timmy. “So are you!” shouts Spotty.
Megan looks down at Timmy and Spotty. “Stop it! We need to see if we can find Daniel!” shouts Megan.
Spotty and Timmy both nod in agreement. Megan puts her hand over her eyes to shield the rain.
“Daniel! Can you hear me?!” shouts Megan.
I continue climbing the mountain, rock by rock, I climb up. The rain keeps coming down. It starts to hurt me. I pant and I feel very exhausted. My hands feel very sore from climbing. So do my feet and my legs.
“Should I stop and head back down?” I ask myself.
I shake my head as I continue climbing up. I can almost see the top of the mountain. I climb faster and faster. I finally make it to the top. I crawl on my belly and lie down for a moment.
“Finally,” I pant.
I slowly get up on my feet and look around. I can see everything. The storm slowly moves away from the mountaintop. The clouds reveal me on the top. Megan sees me. “I can see him! He’s up on the top!” shouts Megan.
Spotty and Timmy look up and see me too.
“What do you see, Earth boy?” asks Spotty.
I look around. I can see Toy Town and lots of mountains. I see smoke far in the distance to the North. “I see the storm moving towards Mount Arborn!” I shout.
“What else do you see?!” shouts Megan.
I continue looking around to see if there is anything else.
“I see mountains!” I shout.
Then something catches my eye. Something that has to do with the prophecy that Tiberius told me. On the left, I see a White Mountain in the distance. It looks like it has snow on it. Clouds cover the top of the snowy mountain. On the right, I see a grey Stone Mountain. It has no trees on it. I turn back to the snowy mountain and see a yellow sun rising behind it. I turn back to Stone Mountain and another yellow sun is rising too. Then I think about the training ground, and I also think about Bearon who used to be the champion.
“What was the prophecy?” I whisper.
“All that I can remember is…
As two suns shall peek, over the stone and the snow
And…
If the mightiest Bearon shall fall
A new champion shall be shown in the sky,” I say.
I notice that I am standing on a very high mountain that is as high as the clouds. I just achieved victory in the training ground in Azent Kingdom by defeating Bearon. One sun peeks over a snowy mountain and the other one is peeking over a stone mountain.
“As two suns shall peek over the snow and the stone
A champion shall be shown in the sky,” I repeat.
The prophecy did mention the Chosen One. I feel so scared that I faint and start to fall down the mountain.
