With quick steps, Ocean dashed through enemy lines. She evaded the enemy warriors who stood still, frozen, shocked by the arrival of the Wolf Raiders. Her legs moved like they had never moved before until she was finally face to face with the leader of these warriors.

Ocean could see the leader's eyes widen in shock by her sudden arrival, and using this opportunity, she thrusted her sword towards the leader's chest. But when the blade of her sword reached his metal chest plate, however, it failed to penetrate the armor and was repelled back, instead.

The leader, seeing Ocean's failed attack, finally managed to recover from his shock and instantly swung his giant ax towards Ocean.

Ocean quickly lowered her body, dodging the leader's attack, but was instantly faced by the leader's thick, metal boots and was kicked directly in the stomach.

Ocean's body was thrown away as a result, and now found herself surrounded by the dark armored warriors. One of them saw Ocean, and without hesitation, he slashed his sword down, towards her neck.

Time seemed to slow down for her as Ocean watched the blade slowly making its way to her neck. But suddenly, from the corner of her vision, she saw a dagger quickly making its way through the warrior's nape, killing him instantly. She then heard a loud yell from somewhere,

"Kill these bastards..!!"

The enemy warriors surrounding Ocean were then lunged at by Dire Wolves and had their throats ripped apart, giving Ocean enough time to stand back up and pick up one of the fallen swords on the ground.

And without caring about the presence of the Wolf Riders around her, she dashed once more towards the leader, who already had his giant ax raised above his head, ready to bring it down and cleave Ocean in two.

Ocean wasn't intimidated at all when she saw this however, and when she reached the leader's range of attack and saw the massive ax falling towards her head, Ocean simply threw her sword in one swift motion, towards the leader's hand that was holding the ax, disrupting his swing, and tackled him to the ground.

She then climbed over him and with her fist tightly clenched, she delivered a flurry of punches towards the leader's face. The leader's face became bloodied and bruised, but to Ocean's surprise, the leader seemed to enjoying this, based on the massive grin on his face.

Annoyed by the expression the leader was making, Ocean raised both of her arms above her head and joined them together, readying to pummel the leader's face one last time.

But just as her fists were going to drop down, the leader finally made his move and grabbed Ocean by the waist with his huge hands. He then proceeded to throw her off to the side, sending Ocean's body flying into the air. And before Ocean's body could even land on the ground, she felt a strong pulling sensation in her ankle and was instantly thrown into the sky.

Ocean coughed up blood as her back made impact with the ground, but with the situation being what it was, she quickly tried to raise herself and turned to face the leader, who was slowly walking towards her.

She had to be honest, the pain she was feeling right now unbearable. She wasn't entirely sure but she could tell that numerous bones in her body were already broken from that one exchange she had with the leader, making her grit her teeth in frustration…

She couldn't understand it…

Why was she so weak?!

What happened to the strength she had back then?!

Was it all a dream?

Or was it some sick gift by someone, just so she could get a glimpse of what it was like to have strength…

She hated it.

She hated this feeling.

She hated this weakness.

So with bloodshot eyes, she let out a mighty roar unbefitting of her small size. She then charged towards the leader with her fists tightly clenched. The leader, noticing Ocean's current condition, decided to humor her and charged as well.

So with both of their fists pulled back, they both charged at each other. And when they reached the point where they'd make contact, both of them simultaneously raised their fists and threw a punch.

Fist met fist, causing a small explosion of energy, blowing away the snow around them.

The leader's eyes were wide in shock as she stared at Oceans fist, which was now covered in a layer of faint, blue light, making him mutter,

"Mana…"

And just like the leader, Ocean too, was shocked by what she was seeing. Because the blue light that was currently enveloping her fist was the same light she saw back then when she experienced having unparalleled strength.

She didn't have time to think more about this phenomenon, however, because she suddenly felt herself getting kicked in the waist, sending her body flying once more.

Ocean, feeling pain all over body, slowly raised herself as she gritted her teeth. She looked down at her hands only to despair when she saw the blue light on her hands dissipating and getting blown by the wind.

"So you were a Mageborn."

The leader's deep and rough voice suddenly made it to Ocean's ears, prompting her to look towards his direction, where she saw him holding and ax as he made his way to her.

"No wonder you were able to easily take down my men. Your body must've been tempered greatly by the mana inside your body…"

Ocean then saw the leader raise his ax over his head as bluish light started enveloping his entire body and—

"But here's the thing… I am one too…"

—dropped his ax towards Ocean with speed, incomparable to before. But just as the blade of the leader's ax was about to reach Ocean's face, however, a Dire Wolf suddenly came rushing in from the side and grabbed the ax's handle with its massive jaw.

Another one then jumped the leader from the back and bit his shoulder, crushing the armor protecting it. And from the back, with Ocean's now blurry vision, she saw wolf riders holding spears in throwing positions, and after hearing a loud yell from their commander, they threw them towards the leaders wide back.

A stinging pain suddenly attacked Ocean's head when she caught a glimpse of wolf riders' distorted faces, making her grit her teeth and hurriedly look away.

Clearing her head of the pain, Ocean looked towards the leader and could see blood burst out from his armor as the tips of those spears pierced through his back, all the way through his chest.

Quickly realizing that this was an opportunity to end this bastard's life for good, Ocean quickly raised herself and delivered a strong punch towards his stomach, making him keel over and drop his ax.

Ocean then quickly grabbed the ax he dropped and brought it down his head, but was deflected when the blade made contact with the blue light enveloping the leader's body.

Seeing Ocean staggering, the leader grabbed the wolf biting his shoulder by the head and threw it towards Ocean, sending her flying towards the nearby forest.

Crashing into a tree, Ocean's body fell down and was pinned to the ground by the Dire Wolf's unconscious body. Anxious, Ocean tried her best to lift the dire wolf off of her, as she looked into the distance and saw the leader, being ganged up on by the wolf riders.

She then swept her gaze towards the battlefield and saw tens of corpses of those warriors in dark armor, scattered across the ground, dead. Seeing this, Ocean realized that battle had already been won and that it was only a matter of time before the leader fell with his men as well.

"I'm not needed here…" She said to herself.

Ocean finally managed to get the Dire Wolf's body off her and slowly stood up. She then looked at the ongoing battle between the leader of those warriors and the wolf riders one last time before going deeper into the forest.

But just as she was about to take a step forward, she suddenly heard an adorable barking sound behind her. She turned to where the sound came from and saw the little wolf pup, quickly running towards her with its tongue sticking out. And when the wolf pup finally reached her, she asked,

"You want to come with me?"

The pup barked in response, making Ocean involuntarily smile, even when she felt every bone in her body creaking with every move she made. She then looked at the pup in the eyes and said,

"These people seem like they'll take good care of you though, are you sure you don't want to be with them instead?"

Once again, the wolf pup simply barked in response, making Ocean let out a small chuckle before coughing up some blood. She then closed her eyes and steadied her breathing, as she gritted her teeth and endured the sudden rush of pain in her chest.

Feeling something below her feet, Ocean opened her eyes and saw the wolf pup staring at her. It then pointed towards the forest with its little leg, making Ocean turn her head towards that direction.

She saw what seemed to be an endless sea of trees with leaves so thick, that it blocked out the light of the sun, shrouding the forest in darkness. Ocean closed her eyes once more and took in a deep breath and said to the pup,

"Let's get out of here…"
