Surrounded by fire and ash, Baal's body shook from fear. Overwhelmed by Terron's presence, he was completely incapable of moving his body. His muscles tensed up to their limit, as he tried his best to at least move an arm, when he suddenly heard a voice behind him—
"[ Let's start with paying you back for what you did to me. ]"
—followed by a loss of feeling in his right arm. Baal turned his head to the right, only for his eyes to grow wide when he saw his dismembered arm, falling into the ground, with his sword along with it.
Enduring the pain, Baal gritted his teeth, when his eyes grew wide once more when he saw Terron suddenly appearing in front of him, with his fist pulled back.
And before Baal knew it, his entire body was falling from the sky.
Numerous balls of flame made contact with Baal on his descent, quickly engulfing his entire body on fire, while hot ash seeped into his skin, making their way to his internal organs and burning it as he continued to fall.
Baal couldn't even scream in pain, for his throat was no different from being a pit of coal at this point. And when his body finally landed on the ground, blood poured out from all of his orifices, as his pitiful body whimpered and shook from all the pain he was feeling.
So as Baal agonized over the overwhelming pain he was feeling, he had thought…
A thought he never thought he would ever have…
'I want to die…'
Resigning to his fate, Baal closed his eyes as he felt his life slowly slipping away, when he once again heard Terron's voice.
"[ Not yet. ]"
Baal then felt a sudden rush of warmth from his chest, spreading towards the rest of his body.
He could feel the warmth repairing his cells, healing his injuries, both internal and external. Baal then felt his strength slowly returning and decided to open his eyes, and saw Terron's indifferent eyes staring at him, sending shivers down his spine.
Baal stood up, slowly. He peeked to his right and saw the arm that he thought he had lost was now there. He was a bit miffed though, that he couldn't find his sword.
"[ Looking for this? ]"
Baal turned his head to where the voice came from and saw Terron twirling his Greatsword with his hand, like it was some stick found on the side of the road. Terron then stopped and plunged the sword deeply into the ground, to the point where only its hilt could be seen.
"[ Now… where were we? ]"
Terron asked as black mists poured out from his wings, making him look like a monster, rather than the Angel he actually was.
Hearing Terron's question, Baal inadvertently took a step back as fear slowly crept from within him. At the same time, however, a burning sense of rage also welled up inside him, making him grit his teeth and yelled,
"Are you insane?!"
Baal fought back against his fear with inner rage, giving him the strength he needed to stop his body from shaking, as he yelled once more,

"Do you have any idea what you're doing?! You will end the entire planet at this rate..!!"
Baal expected Terron to stop and think about his actions for a while, and planned to use this gap to grab his sword on the ground so he could at least have a chance to fight back. What he didn't expect, however, was for Terron to—
"[ PFFFTT—AHAHAHAHAHA..!! ]"
—laugh out loud like a madman. The rain of fire intensified as Terron laughed, burning Baal's skin as it continuously showered him. Terron wiped his eyes, acting like there were tears dripping, and said,
"[ Yes, you're right… I might actually end the planet… ]"
The surrounding air around them then suddenly changed, as Baal slowly raised his head as he watched Terron ascending to the sky. The dark clouds above them then started twisting and turned into a Maelstrom, as Baal heard Terron's voice once more.
"[ But you see, Baal… I have a really reliable little brother… ]"
Right after saying that, Baal could feel an enormous amount of condensed Holy Power, covering up their entire area. He turned his head towards the border, where the dark clouds stopped, and saw a golden Barrier preventing it from expanding any further.
"[ So I suggest you should stop worrying about the world ending, and start worrying about yourself… ]"
Without even having the time to even react, the Maelstrom of clouds above Baal instantly descended, turning into a powerful whirlwind that devoured Baal completely. The raining flames then caught on to the whirlwind and set it ablaze, scorching the flailing Baal inside.
Meanwhile, Terron, flying in the sky, only watched on as Baal felt a portion of the pain he felt 20 million years ago.

"Damn it, Terron..!"
Huron cursed under his breath as he and the rest of the Angels tried their best to maintain the Barrier.
When he saw fire and ash rain on the world below, his heart sank when he felt its overwhelming power. So he pushed himself and conjured the best Barrier he could while he siphoned the Holy Power of his fellow Angels.
Even then, he thought it wasn't enough. Huron thought that sooner or later, the Barrier would collapse, unleashing Terron's rain of Ash and Fire onto the entire planet. Huron was worrying about the Fate of the Earth, until he felt God's Divinity entering the bodies of him and his fellow Angels, empowering them.
Naturally, everyone thought Terron was responsible for this and were feeling really grateful towards him, forgetting the fact that he was responsible for this whole mess.
Huron, too, felt grateful when he felt God's Divinity enter his body at first, when a thought suddenly popped up in his head,
'Is he doing this so he can play around for a bit?'
He immediately dismissed the thought just as fast as it came to his head, because he believed in his brother. He was sure Terron wouldn't do something so childish as beating the person that pushed him to this point to a pulp.
But as more time passed and the flames inside the Barrier got more and more intense, Huron's earlier thought slowly solidified itself inside his mind, which led them to where they were now.
The Angels gritted their teeth as they supplied Huron with their Holy Power, while Huron concentrated as hard as he could to make sure the Barrier remained stable.
Nevertheless, their eyes couldn't help but tremble as they watched what was happening inside the Barrier. What was first originally a storm of ash and fire, turned into a disastrous and destructive whirlwind of fire and darkness.
The land was completely upturned, ripped to pieces, and destroyed. Huron also spotted numerous hordes of Fiends inside the barrier as well, but were quickly turned to ashes once the flames engulfed them.
But as everyone was busy watching the grand spectacle in front of them with trembling eyes, they heard a voice from the sky.
"[ Stop at once, Terron. ]"

"[ Stop at once, Terron. ]"
Hearing a voice enchanted by God's Divinity above him, Terron couldn't help but raise his head. His eyes pierced through the dark clouds and the Barrier that Huron conjured, and saw Metatron, God's Scribe, hovering in the air.
He had all six pairs of his wings spread wide open, while his white robes swayed in the wind as he stared at Terron with narrowed eyes. Seeing this, Terron couldn't help but sigh as he dispersed the Divinity around him and sent it straight back to Heaven.
The whirlwind of destruction then stopped and the dark clouds in the sky slowly evaporated into the air. He then dispelled his Divine Armament, revealing whatever was left of his dark suit.
Looking at his clothes, Terron clicked his tongue and used the remaining Divinity in his body to conjure a dark, long coat, together with black pants, black shoes, and a white undershirt.
Terron then heard the sound of sighs from his surroundings, making him turn his gaze to the Angels around him. They all looked pale and exhausted, like they were going to pass out at any time. His gaze then made its way to Huron, who was breathing heavily as he glared at him with an aggrieved expression on his face.
Seeing that, Terron only smirked at him and raised his head once more, waiting for Metatron to descend and say whatever he wanted to say.
Watching Metatron descend, Terron couldn't help but think just what reason did he have to stop him from having fun playing with Baal. And after a few seconds of waiting, Metatron was finally face to face with Terron.
Terron was going to greet him and ask him a question, when Metatron, with an aloof expression on his face, suddenly said,
"God has spoken. The Almighty has asked us to spare the life of this being called Baal."
Terron's eyes grew wide, shocked from Metatron's message. Considering what type of monster Baal was, he thought it was an act of madness to spare him. He was about to say something to Metatron, when a beam of light suddenly dropped down from the sky, blinding him momentarily.
After a short while, Terron's vision finally came back, but couldn't find Metatron anymore when he looked in front of him, making him curse out loud,
"Damn than bastard..!! Always coming and going..!!"
Still angered, Terron looked down, towards what was left of Baal. He then slowly descended towards him and couldn't help but smile when he saw the state Baal's body was in.
Charred from head to toe, Baal's chest heaved heavily with every breath he took. He laid on the ground, completely immobile and looked like he was about to die from a simple nudge. But as much as Terron wanted to let him die here, he really couldn't deny God's orders.
So with his hands glowing in golden light, Terron placed it on Baal's chest, and slowly healed his body, just as he healed him before. He then muttered,
"I hope to see with my own eyes in the future just why God has decided to spare your life. So you better make sure to not disappoint me, Baal."
