Jason was lost, he had no idea where he was or in what direction he should go to. Even Boops had no idea where they were, along with the fact that there were no return scrolls yet, the only thing Jason could do was just wander around killing everything he came across. Which was helpful for his EXP gauge but still not what he was looking fore.
As he walked around, he kept on looking for any place where he would be able to climb like a tree or a large cliff. But nothing was available to him but trees, and the occasional rabbit. (which did not last very long)
While he was wandering around Jason started to practice his skills which he totally forgot about in his previous battles. Boops berated him relying on his high-level swordsmanship level and told him to start working on getting familiar and leveling up his 3 new skills.
He faced a tree and used slash. It was a bit difficult for Jason to adapt as he needed to fulfill certain conditions to use the skill, like in this case he needed to hold a weapon and slash with it, and the skill would naturally appear. A blue arc would be let out when he used the skill but it could barely cut through a rabbits hide. Jason tried his other skills and started to understand them and how to use them, dodge enhanced his agility when dodging, while precise strike guided his hand toward the enemies' weak point with a heightened stabbing ability.
Jason was looking around when he came across a four-horned rabbit squatting on a rock the size of his head, looking around alertly and sometimes sniffing the air. The rabbit's information was displayed as [rabbit sentry]
Jason's brain started to churn
'sentry= guarding something '
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
'if its guarding it means = more rabbits'
'more rabbits= Exp'
Jason lunged toward the sentry, with a glint in his eyes, but before he could reach him the rabbit spotted him and retreated raising the alarm which was thumping on the ground with its oversized feet desperately.
There were no loud noises after the alarm was raised but instead the resounding response of more thumping was heard all around the forest. The rabbit looked at Jason with a smug face like it was saying "haha human prepare to get thumped"
Jason gave the sentry no time to gloat and charged him only to get a kick in the shin while his sword swing fell to the ground without cutting anything.
The only thing Jason could hear was his head pounding and Boops dying of laughter.
'WHAHAHAHAH THE RABBIT *wheeze* HE CAN'T HIT IT AHAHAH*wheeze*'
Jason squared off one more time with the rabbit that was taunting him. He charged and when the rabbit moved he rolled to activate dodge. He chained it with precise strike and stabbed.
The sword sunk into the rabbit's forehead and it gave Jason one last look of mockery and dissipated into gray dust leaving behind a horn, meat, and fur.
But Jason had no time to celebrate or smack Boops in his head. (he wasn't even sure if it was possible) because a group of rabbit sentry's arrived and instantly rushed to avenge their fallen comrade.
Jason did the smart thing. He grabbed the drops and sprinted for his life. Thankfully the retreat was classified as a dodge and his agility was boosted making him able to escape the clutches of the furious thumping rabbits.
But his boosted agility would soon run out and he needed to find a solution, he was looking everywhere the trees, the ground, he even considered logging out but then he fell. yup he fell like one of those horror movies where the person falls randomly.
He tripped fell into a random pit that was disguised as regular ground so when and his chasers were on top of the pit their combined weight made them all fall. The fall was so long, Jason was able to process what was going on and noticed metal spikes at the bottom.
With quick reflexes he grabbed 2 of the horns in his inventory and stabbed them into the wall. One of the horns snapped on impact. But the second one was able to puncture the wall and Jason was left there to hang while watching his rabbit companions/enemies fall to their deaths.
So there Jason held onto the horns, stuck in the truest sense of the word. Lost and with a 50 feet drop and a bunch of metal spikes waiting for him and his only companion at the moment Boops was laughing his butt off still and wasn't paying attention to anything.
