Jason looked around. In a large contrast to the dark ground below he was on a large wooden platform that looked like the resting/starting ground for the training. Surprisingly the entire place was filled with people, most of them were trainees like Jason,(he could tell by their attire) but some looked different. They wore long robes and held wooden sticks.
But before he could focus on the people who were dressed differently, he saw one of the trainees starting the course. Now Jason had time to look at the course. It was a simple course with small wooden planks on the trees. Sometimes there were small poles to grab onto.
Into the distance, Jason could see what seemed to be a bamboo forest, after that he couldn't see any further but he could hear something. It reminded Jason of a lion roaring.
The first contestant came up strangely he looked confident and excited. He didn't start immediately though, he waited for one of the long robed people to walk up. The long robed person walked up and raised his stick or wand and started to chant.
An orange magic circle appeared in the air behind the trainee. As the mage finished his chant the circle started to float to the ground while a creature emerged from the circle. Then another creature appeared and then another. Finally, a group of 3 orange monkeys appeared from the circle.
They were not you average monkeys though, they were the size of a teenager or Jason's size and he could even see their muscles even through the fur. Their fists looked dangerous, they reminded Jason of a professional fighter's fists. Hard, solid and well built like it was meant to knock out people.
The trainee saw the monkeys were successfully summoned and bolted, jumping out of the platform and into one of the smaller planks on the other trees. Lyle had appeared next to Jason giving Jason a convenient explanation of everything.
"This is the agility training course, the goal is the complete the entire course without falling. To make things more interesting we brought mage students from our rose mage school to help. "
He pointed to the robed people who were holding small wands.
"their goal is to control their summoned creature and knock off the trainee from the obstacle course, they are allowed to do anything in their creatures arsenal but they have to control the creature themselves."
Jason watched as the monkeys chased after the trainee with an insane speed, they were also taking short cuts too they didn't need the wooden planks to run on, they just used the small branches sticking of the trees to swing along.

Jason asked Lyle "why doesn't the trainee fight the creatures?"
Lyle answered by pointing at the trainee who was fleeing. Eventually, the monkeys caught up and the trainee was surrounded by his them on a small plank in a tree. He pulled out his sword and desperately waved it to stop the monkeys from getting close.
Unfortunately, a monkey snuck to the end of the plank without the trainee noticing. The monkey raised its fist and bashed the end of the plank as hard as it could. The plank acted like a catapult and the trainee was sent flying.
Jason needed to swerve his head in order to follow the poor trainee. The trainee fell close enough for Jason to see his face. It wasn't of pure terror as Jason had thought any person who was sent flying and was about to fall down about 20 stories would be. Instead, it was one that was mildly upset, almost like he had made a mistake and needed to fix it quickly. Then before Jason could continue analyzing his face he continued falling down.
*THUD*
Jason could hear the impact even from the platform he turned around to see how everyone else reacted. Only to see them all acting normal except for the mage who was high fiving his fellow mage teammates.
Jason's head swiveled to Lyle his face demanding an explanation. Lyle answered
"he'll be fine, it was just a small fall and he'll only get a few bruises"
Jason walked to the end of the platform and peeked down. He watched the trainee get up and start climbing up the ladder. He looked at the height of the platform to make sure. Yup, it was about 10 stories tall or 61 meters.
He turned to Lyle again his face saying 'you're expecting me to do that !@#&'
He smiled as if he understood and walked to him. He whispered
"tomorrow your going to do that, you have about 24 hours to prepare, goodluck"
Jason's mind was thrown into turmoil as he looked at Lyle with an intense and desperate gaze and said "there better be monsters in the forest over there"
Lyle smiled and pointed toward a forest in the distance "yes, in fact, there had been an increase in goblins in the forest over there. You have free time for the rest of the day, meet back here tomorrow at this exact time"
Jason didn't even have time to give Lyle the death glare and climbed down the ladder and headed for the forest, then entire time he felt like a dagger was on his back and he needed to keep running to keep it from stabbing him.
He knew that Lyle was doing it to get him to the regular rose knight trainee standard, but still Jason was fricking scared. But with no other option, he started to sprint as fast as his legs could carry him in the forest.

Jason crossed the distance in a much shorter time then he had anticipated. He started to think about how he got all of the +1 stat points and discover that they only appeared when he broke past his limits or did something that he normally could not do. So for this entire time, he was planning on focusing on breaking his limits to the very extreme.
