Ichi turned and walked to the paper door ignoring what the girl said, stopping as he heard Syon rush across the floor behind him to his front. Syon opened the paper door for Ichi.
"I will lead you out."
Ichi waved his hand with disgust as he followed Syon out in the dim hallway. Ichi didn't expect he'd be able to get out of this maze without her help, but his mood urged him to tunnel out. Syon smiled in front of Ichi.
"This has been the most amusing conversation I have had in my entire life. I would enjoy the pleasure of your company anytime. At the least I offer to bear one child - I am weak so please keep it to one."
Ichi's right hand tensed. I could grab that head, right now, Ichi thought.
"The next time I see you open your mouth near me I'll consider it an attack of my sanity."
Syon kept silent as they shuffled through the dark maze. The minuted soaked in silence, Ichi felt like he was bathing in that silence. Syon came to a paper door. Opening it, moonlight covered half of Syon's body, half of her body in the darkness. Syon lit up her half-hidden smile, meeting Ichi's eyes.
"You are a good man, Ichi."
Ichi ignored Syon and walked past her. Then, he was surprised to find his hand move to Syon's head. Looking back, he saw his right hand rubbing through her hair. Syon's eyes were closed showing a pleasant face. In shock Ichi snapped his hand back he looked for the silver glove, thinking this was some sorcery, but no, Syon's hands were visible. Disturbed, Ichi looked at his pulled back right palm as if it had betrayed him.

Ichi walked away, glancing to courtyard hoping Myon was there. She wasn't. Hurrying up, he broke into a speed walk. Then, a run. Distance is good, distance is great. With distance, Ichi couldn't talk to Syon at all. That was an advantage of having no smartphone. Ichi could make the excuse "Ahh, well,I have no friends anyways so what's the point of having a phone?" For the rest of his life, he could make that excuse.
Ichi vaulted over the two meter wall with strength that surprised himself. "This doesn't seem human, oh wait, I'm not only human," were Ichi's thoughts as he sailed through the air and crashed into the ground outside of the building compound, rolling over the ground like a rag doll. Ichi landed face up, staring at the moon and stars. Out here away from the city, Ichi saw more stars at night. At least the sky here was pretty.
Ichi smelled Myon before he saw her. A hand grabbed his shirt, pulling it up, and another hand ran over the seal Myon placed over Ichi's chest. Myon sighed, her breath pouring over Ichi's face as she drew back from crouching over him.
"You okay?" Myon said. Ichi thought her voice never sounded kinder since he met her.
"I'm fine," Ichi lied.
He pulled himself up, talking to himself saying it was all a bad dream in his head.
"Your sister and I had a chat. She's concerned about me. I'd rather not have your sister's concern."
