Fubuki got tired of Renya's play acting. She parted from the girl telling her to read. Fubuki knew Renya would do it anyways. She wanted to feel like she accomplished something of value with her time she spent with Renya, even though she told herself it was useless.
In a flash of grey she moved to the mountainside. She walked into the cavern, her katana summoned and floating at her side. The cats needed to die. Fubuki decided that since Ichi was playing around, she could play around as well. Her bottled up frustration needed venting.
She couldn't vent. Fubuki saw a sea of corpses laying below her. Her katana floating beside her disappeared, and with it, so did she.
The following morning Ichi prowled around Danberu's fortress, enjoying the sun. He was mostly alone. Rikya took off with Avalon to go pick up some supplies. Ichi looked to the part of the fortress that used to have a train of little girls delivering supplies. He was glad that stopped. Rikya said Satou said it would be cheaper to use the giant robot than the little girls. The two of them said they sat the battle out, uninterested in the bakeneko.
Ichi wondered why he bothered with them himself. He did want the little girl trading chain to stop. It stopped. Not because of anything he did, but at least it's done. Ichi nodded to himself.
He threw off his black blazer, throwing it into the air where a flash of grey retrieved it. Ichi was so used to it by now he didn't think much of it. He loosened his tie, circling the battlements peering out at the corpses of cats.

Two nights ago he went on a rampage through the forest for what felt like forever, yet there were still this many? Fubuki told him that there were far more in the forest too, and even some in a cave.
Yesterday's battle was a total failure. Despite having the might of the maids armed with Rikya's Armory weapons, they still managed to lose every tanuki.
What's more, every single tanuki. Not one survived. When Ichi asked Fubuki if she saw anything, she smiled. Ichi felt like he was missing a key component here. Renya took the field, so he had a feeling it was probably her fault, but he had no way to prove it.
Renya couldn't lie to Ichi because of his ability to smell lies. Ichi felt like it would be unfair to straight out ask her. As he paced the fortress walls taking in the sight, he strongly considered it. He tripped while staring at the battlefield.
His body fell into something furry and large. Ichi pulled himself up, recognizing the shape of Danberu. The Tanuki Lord had empty jugs by his side and snored. Ichi thought it best to leave him alone. As he left, he tripped again, this time caught by his ankle.
Ichi hit his head second time and groaned in despair as he felt the cool stone on his face. He turned around on the ground to see Danberu's paw closed around his ankle. The tanuki snored. Ichi wrenched the paw free after struggling, he had to use the black energy just to budge the tanuki's grip.
Ichi got up swaying from the dizziness of the fall. Looking down at the tanuki, he muttered, "strong guy," and carried on with his walk.
He looked to the inside of the fortress. There were a bunch of foxes taking it easy in the barracks. Ichi shied away from them, thinking that he might get roped in with Tama if he bothered them. The little girls who were running in supplies were gone. Just him, Danberu, and some foxes.
