After the group of fighters finished checking their talents by touching the statue, they all left the building.
“My lord, I believe you should make the Class Hall next. Everyone’s power would grow by leaps and bounds once you choose your classes.”
Roy nodded at Aswad before walking away from the village hall. After choosing a proper place for the Class Hall, Roy started the creation process.
Create Class Hall.
After the usual fanfare, a small unimpressive wooden building appeared in front of the group. The name “Class Hall” was plastered on a sign on top of the door.
“Well, let’s go in,” Roy gestured for everyone to follow him. As they entered the Class Hall, two rooms appeared in front of them. On their right was the combat class room as stated clearly by the small wooden sign next to it. On their left was the production was the production class room.
“Let’s split up,” Hassan suggested. “No reason to waste time waiting for others to finish.”
“Fair enough,” Roy nodded. “Just choose the class that it says you have talent in.”
Hassan shrugged and wryly smiled, “That’s obvious.”
Roy, Jack, and Robb entered the combat class room, while the others followed Hassan. As the trio entered the room, they found an altar with a glass orb on top of it. The orb had a dim purple light trapped inside of it as if it was a seal for a magical creature.
“Let me see what classes it’s going to give,” Jack took the lead and walked toward the orb. “I better get that magic swordsman class.”
A few seconds passed as Jack looked at what Roy assumed to be the window screen for his classes. As more time passed, Jack’s eyebrows furrowed more and more.
“What’s with that look?” Robb chuckled. “You didn’t get that magic whatever class?”
“Ehh, I don’t know?” Jack looked with confusion at Robb. “I got this thing called Apprentice Spellblade. I don’t like that Apprentice thing it got there.”
Robb chortled at Jack’s response, “I think that’s a fitting class for you; apprentice is just the right adjective.”
Jack rolled his eyes before walking back toward the group.
“Go and check what’s yours,” He tapped Robb on the shoulder. “I wanna see what you’re gonna get.”
Robb shrugged and walked toward the orb with a smile. After a few seconds, that smile quickly disappeared and turned into a frown.
“What’s that?” Jack chuckled. “You didn’t get what you want?”
“Apprentice Shadow Swordsman,” Robb muttered under his breath, making Jack burst out laughing.
“What was the saying again? Make fun of Jack and the universe will make fun of you back?”
Robb looked at Jack with a confused expression, “I don’t think there is a saying like that.”
“Well, there is the saying that losers should shut the fuck up.”
Robb rolled his eyes much like Jack did before and walked back with a sigh, “At least I am a shadow swordsman; much cooler name than whatever the fuck you got.”
Roy shook his head at the two bantering with each other but did not say a thing. He just walked toward Orb and touched it.

Apprentice Priest
Apprentice Elemental Mage
Elemental Mage? What’s that?
Since the last class was different from the other four basic ones, Roy understood that it was special. After thinking for a few seconds, he shrugged his shoulder and chose it.
“Congratulations on awakening your class. Please think ‘Talent Store’ to buy talents using your talent points. As for your class skills, you can buy them from the shop.”
“Congratulation, you have unlocked your class starting skill. You can find the description and the proficiency level in your status window.”
Mana Manipulation
Description: You can now manipulate your mana to a finer level. The higher your proficiency the more you can freely control your spells. Some spells cannot be acquired without a high level of Mana Manipulation.
Proficiency: 0.0%
“So, what did you get?” Jack asked, snapping Roy back to reality.
“Apprentice Elemental Mage,” Roy responded after dismissing the notifications and screens.
“Heh, so everyone is getting the apprentice treatment,” Robb chuckled. “So, are you guys going to buy those talents they were talking about?”
“I haven’t gotten to check them out yet,” Roy shrugged. “What about you? Any talent that you wanna buy?”
Robb scratched his head, “I’m torn about ‘Assassinate’ and ‘Poisoned Blade’, both of them just increase my power immediately. The problem is that they both cost 15 talent points and I only have 25.”
“What does ‘Assasinate’ do?” Roy asked with interest.
“If I hit someone from the back, there is a 20% chance I do double my normal damage.”
“Damn, brother,” Jack raised an eyebrow. “Double the damage? That would kill anyone if you had some aura skill too.”
“Oh, I have that,” Robb smiled. “Take a look.”
A shadowy aura covered Robb’s body, giving him an ominous feeling. It was as if he was engulfed by the black flames of hell.
Oh, we have that white aura skill too, Roy opened his eyes wide as he remembered the skill that they had gotten from their first clear of the dungeon. Black and white aura… That would look cool as hell.
Roy shook his thoughts out of his mind and focused on Robb, “That ‘Assassinate’ sounds cool and all, but it’s a low chance plus you need to hit people from the back. What about ‘Poisoned Blade’?”
“I was thinking the same thing,” Robb smiled wryly. “It does say that the poison is effective on those at the Vanguard level and under, so it should be good.”
“Yeah, the choice is clear,” Roy shrugged. He then looked at Jack and asked, “What about you?”
“Honestly, I already know what I’m gonna take,” Jack smiled. “‘Arcane Sword’, it makes all techniques that use mana with a sword 20% more effective.”
Robb was taken aback by Jack’s words and he raised his eyebrows, “That’s too good, man. But, you don’t have any skills like that, do you?”
Jack smiled and unsheathed his sword without saying a word. A sky-blue light emerged from the blade before concentrating on its tip.
“If I let it go, it will blow this whole place up,” Jack laughed. “Apparently, I can buy other skills like these from the shop.”
“Yeah, we all can do that,” Robb rolled his eyes. “The gods must really like you, giving you such a good class with good skills.”
“Is that jealousy that I hear from you?” Jack raised an eyebrow and teased Robb while the latter just shook his head.
Roy, on the other hand, left the two to banter with each other and opened his Talent Store.
Talent Store
"Arcane Brilliance" - Increases the potency of spells cast by the Wizard by 10%. Cost: 20 Talent Points
"Mana Attunement" - Increases the Wizard's maximum mana pool by 20%. Cost: 15 Talent Points.
“Fire Mastery" - Increases the damage dealt by spells of a particular element by 15%. Cost: 10 Talent Points.
“Water Mastery" - Increases the damage dealt by spells of a particular element by 15%. Cost: 10 Talent Points.
“Air Mastery" - Increases the damage dealt by spells of a particular element by 15%. Cost: 10 Talent Points.
“Earth Mastery" - Increases the damage dealt by spells of a particular element by 15%. Cost: 10 Talent Points.
“Lightning Mastery" - Increases the damage dealt by spells of a particular element by 15%. Cost: 10 Talent Points.
Available Talent Points: 25.
Since I have 25, I should probably go for one of the elements and the Mana Attunement to use all of them. So, just Fire Mastery I guess?
With his choice made, Roy selected “Mana Attunement” and “Fire Mastery” as his two talents. A weird feeling of a hot pulse of energy coursed through his body for a few seconds. Once the energy calmed down, he felt the mana in his body increase. The fatigue from using all of it against the red bear was lifted a bit.
“You guys are done here?”
Hassan’s voice brought Roy back from his reverie. Hassan, Hawk, Tyler, and Daven were waiting at the door for their group of three to finish.
“Yeah, we’re done here,” Jack responded with a stupid grin parting his lips. From the bitter expression on Robb’s face, Roy could understand that the two were screwing around with each other.
As the three walked out of the combat class room and made their way to the production one, Roy couldn’t help but think back at the starting class skill he was given.
What does it mean I can control mana better? Can I make my own skills if I control mana directly?
