(Prince Edward)

I said his name in my mind as I saw along with Emi, several mumbles could be heard as people began to notice that Emi was with Prince Edward.

"Their relationship and so close for them to come along to the dining hall?"

Said a female voice that I couldn't identify where it was coming from.

"That just proves that both of them will probably be husband and wife in the future, doesn't it?"

Said another voice.

"Ren, are you okay?"

Flora asked noticing the frown on my face.

"No and nothing, thanks for asking"

I replied going back to business as usual, I don't think this is the time to create any confusion, my friends and I decided to ignore the commotion and started to eat, but no matter how hard I tried to ignore it from time to time I still looked at Emi worried that something might go wrong, my first impression of Prince Edward was not that good, while we were eating, we heard some commotion forming for some unknown reason.

"What's going on?"

Eric asked.

"You mean besides the prince and princess being here?"

Answered Flora wryly, hearing what Flora just said Eric looked at Flora with a scowl on his face but was ignored by her, while they were both at it a voice made itself present in the room.

"I wonder if I could sit with you?"

As soon as we looked at the owner of the voice all three of us were surprised, but I must say that Flora and Eric were much more surprised than I was.

"P-Princess Emi?"

Eric said in shock, Flora was simply looking at Emi with her mouth open, she probably didn't know what to say, although I was a little uncomfortable with it a little further away, I saw that Prince Edward was looking at us with uninviting eyes.

"C-Clear"

I said stammering.

I asked myself as I looked sideways at her, when I looked at Eric and Flora, I realized they both had a strange expression on their faces.

"What is it?"

I asked, hearing my question, they both looked at each other and soon turned to me but still continued to look at Emi sideways.

"You two... have you by any chance met before you joined the academy?"

Flora asked, the question took me by surprise for a moment, after all I don't remember seeming that close to Emi, looking at Eric I realized that he was having the same doubt as Flora, hearing the question Emi stopped eating and turned to me, I think she was asking if she could tell, looking again at Flora and Eric, I thought for a few seconds before turning my attention back to Emi again waving to her, i decided I would tell them at least some things, they seem like nice people anyway.

"We first saw each other when we were 8 years old"

Emi said, leaving both Eric and Flora surprised.

"A few things happened that made me go to the palace, that occasion I had the pleasure of meeting the royal family"

I said adding to Emi's response, they seemed surprised by this and looked at me with clear doubt in their eyes.

"Ren... who are you really?"

Eric asked.

"Did you hear something about the queen being sick 8 years ago?"

I asked, hearing my question, they both nodded.

"Almost the whole kingdom knows, we also know that she was cured by some innovative method"

Flora said.

"Well... I am the person who healed the queen"

As soon as I said that I could see the expressions of surprise stamped on Eric and Flora's faces, not believing it they both turned their faces towards Emi trying to verify the veracity of what I just said, Emi just nodded her head showing that I was telling the truth.

"But...wasn't the one who cured the queen the genius inventor X?"

Eric asked, i just gave a wry smile and answered his question.

Hearing my answer, they both abruptly stood up from their chair looking at me dumbfounded, I felt uncomfortable with their attitude but decided not to say anything.

"Are you really serious?"

Flora asked euphorically.

"Why are you so happy?"

I asked confused.

"I mean, if you and X, doesn't that mean you and Doctor Ammy's master?"

Flora asked with her eyes shining, while all this was going on I noticed that Emi was quietly eating her food, plus I also noticed that we were getting quite a bit of attention, including from the prince who had sat at a table not far from us and seemed to be watching us.

"Hey Flora, calm down, you're attracting too much attention"

I said as I looked around, once they both calmed down and sat down, I sighed thinking about the overreaction of both of them, I really didn't know I was that famous.

"Well, in case you wanted to, I can introduce you to her sometime"

"Really?"

She asked.

I replied a little surprised at Flora's sudden burst of energy, as this was happening, we heard a small giggle coming from our side.

"Fufufu, you three seem to be good friends"

Said Emi as she looked at us with a soft smile on her face.
