Chapter 47

In the Seiren underground abandoned training room.

Hikaru and Hetomo meet someone troublesome.

“Hikaru, Hikaru, Hikaru, it has been a while. It seems like only yesterday we were in the academy together.” The mysterious character jumped down from the perch he had initially stood on.

“Lieutenant… That’s-”

“Yeah, it’s Lieutenant Kazuya Donotsu, lieutenant of division one, and my arch-nemesis.” Hikaru tensed up and slowly moved his hand into his coat. “We don’t have to fight Kazuya. You can just let us pass and forget we were here entirely. We both know that you don’t give a damn about this whole mess.”

Kazuya stepped forward and brushed his fingers through his long black hair. He tossed his hands to his sides and shot the two division two members a murderous gaze with his dark green eyes.

“You’re right about that. I honestly couldn’t care less about anything that court 9 spouts off about. Hell, none of division one cares about it. All I know is that since your division has been labeled as criminals, I get to finally fight you again.” He grinned and reached back, dragging out his Katana-like blutklinge.

“Ah, as expected from the division in charge of frontal assault.” Hikaru reached further into his coat, retrieving his blutklinge. “So what’s the plan? You’re just gonna come and take on the both of us?”

“No no no, while that would be fun, I’ve been given the task of overseeing our newest seated member.” Kazuya turned away. “Come down here. Your initiation is about to begin!”

It was quiet for a moment, and then, a man with a relatively large stature jumped down from the same perch Kazuya was standing on minutes before.

Hetomo’s eyes widened. “Whoa, that guy has to be like seven feet tall!” His mouth dropped and was practically on the floor.

“Iskinn is seven feet three inches to be exact, exactly two feet taller than me.” Kazuya’s sadistic grin widened.

“Iskinn?” Hikaru continued to retrieve his blutklinge from his coat.

“Ah, not even he knows his last name.” Kazuya turned to his subordinate and nodded.

The newest addition to the first division was intimidating, to say the least. His build was incredibly muscular, his jawline only added to that fact. Adding to that, his face is what felt the most intimidating, because of a black eyepatch covering his right eye, only his dark brown left was visible. The huntsman’s stubble added into his overall presence, the same with his spiked-up black hair.

The hulking huntsman took a few steps forward. “I am Iskinn, fourth seat of the first division. It is customary to know the names of your opponents.” His deep voice bellowed.

Hikaru whipped out his blutklinge. “For a band of psychotic ruffians, you sure have your manners. Although Kazuya is well aware of who I am, I doubt the rest of your division lacks the brain cells to know the other lieutenants’ names.”

Hikaru shot forward, “I am Hikaru Shiki, lieutenant of division two!” He looked back and nodded at Hetomo.

Hikaru headed towards Iskinn with the determination to knock out one of his two opponents.

For some reason I have a bad feeling about this guy, I think that If I can knock him out of the fight early, then Hetomo and I can deal with Kazuya much easier.

“Thinking that if you take Iskinn out of the match first will give you an edge, huh? As if I’d allow something like that!”

Kazuya suddenly appeared in front of him. He proceeded to slash the ground between Hikaru and Iskinn, leaving a large cut between them.

“Iskinn! Deal with the run over there, and whatever you do, don’t release your blutklinge.”

The large huntsman nodded, acknowledging his superior’s order.

“And you, Hikaru, will have loads of fun with me. I figure that if I can get one last fight in before all of you division two guys get executed, then everything will be perfect!” He proceeded to grab Hikaru’s collar and threw him into a nearby pile of miscellaneous equipment.

“Gah!” Damn, that hurt. You still have a hell of a throwing arm.”

Kazuya bolted forwards. “You honestly think that I’d fall behind? As if I’d ever become such a weakling! Unlike you, I’ve only increased in strength!”

Hetomo watched as Hikaru and Kazuya exchanged blows.

“Odd that they’re punching each other when they’ve drawn their blutklinge. I'm uncertain if that's cool or not.

“Little man, I don’t think you have the time to think about something like that.”

“Huh?”

Hetomo turned around

WAAAAAAAM!

The hulking huntsman thrusted his blutklinge downwards multiple times in hopes to swiftly deal with the cool-obsessed enemy.

A cloud of dust surrounded his target area. “Hmph, I guess I should wait until Lieutenant Donotsu has finished taking down that blondie.”

The dust began to thin. “Take out that, blondie? What an uncool thing to say.”

Iskinn looked down, “Huh? What?”

The dust settled, and all was clear. The area that Iskinn was slashing at was filled with blade marks and deep indentations, but amongst the damage there were no torn up body, nor blood splatters.

“Oi! Over here!”

Iskinn turned around, “What the…?”

He turned to see a smug Hetomo waving, “It’s a shame you missed… No wait, If I think about it getting sliced to bits by someone as uncool as you would be super uncool.” He smacked his hands together. “I should thank you for having such terrible skills.”

“Ughhhh, you little bastard.” Iskinn gritted his teeth in rage.

“Now, you shouldn’t blame yourself for your inabilities. You were just born that way.” Hetomo caressed his blade. “Now, since you’re a higher seat than me, I assume you have some super cool power.” He arched his head to the side and widened his eyes. “Hey, I’ll show you mine if you show me yours.”

Hetomo began turning his blade in circles and took a step forward.

“Jostle and turn; Kaldora.”
