“You damned human, I’ll have your head for such insolence! I’LL WIPE YOU OFF THE FACE OF THIS WORLD!” With its remaining arm it reached out to Mia, “DIE!”
A whirl of dark energy swirled in its palm, “I BET YOU CAN’T HANDLE A DIRECT DOOM BLAST TO THE FACE! AHAHAHAHAHA!” It roared with laughter.
VvvvvvvvWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWW!
The doom blast shot forward, the rage it was composed of felt erratic and daunting.
Mia stood still, unwavering of the huge amount of energy hurling towards her.
“Hmm, I wonder…”
She raised her sword up, and right as the blast was about to connect she swung down hard, nullifying it entirely.
“Ah, that makes sense…” lowered her blade and smiled at the beast, displaying a vast amount of cockiness.
“What the hell? Why didn’t you die?” Visibly frustrated, the beast balled it's fist in anger.
“Haha… Isn’t it obvious? From what I’ve been able to piece together, all beings have a varying amount of quelle. Beasts, humans, it doesn’t matter. So I had a thought in my mind… One can beat an enemy under two conditions. If their quelle is significantly higher, or if their connection to their abilities is strong…”
The beast was visibly irritated, “what’s your point?”
“Now, the reason you were able to beat Hikaru is because your quelle is higher than his, but from what I can sense it’s only slight. This all boils down to a numbers game, if we were to put your power level at one-hundred, Hikaru’s would be ninety… Mine on the other hand… Would be much higher than one-hundred”. She smiled again.
“You puny human… Mocking me like this… Claiming to be stronger… Because you managed to hurt me? Don’t make me laugh!”
“Ah… I’ve met your type before… People who can’t accept when they’ve lost”.
“YOU BITCH!” The beast rushed forward, lunging towards Mia. “I’VE GOT YOU NOW!”
Mia remained still.
“I CAN SEE THAT YOU’RE SCARED! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
“Ah, what a pain”.
It grasped her tightly, squeezing her like a maniacal dominatrix.
“You know, it’s quite rude to put your hands on a lady. Didn’t your parents ever teach you about consent?”
SCHHHHHLUUUURRRRK!
She only moved slightly, but that's all it took. The beast's fingers toppled around her, and bursts of blood surrounded her in a decorative circle.

“How did all that blood miss me? Eh, whatever. Hey you big oaf, now I don’t think an arm without any fingers can do much, so let me do you a favor”.
She jumped towards the beast, gripping her sword tightly.
SHHHHHHHIIINNNGGGG!
A single slash and the beast’s other arm fell to the ground.
“GAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!” It wailed in the excruciating pain.
“There, nice and symmetrical”.
The beast began to pant, the immense blood loss now finally coming to light. “Human… Girl… I will not forgive this… Never… NEVER!” In a rage, the beast shot tendril after tendril towards Mia.
“You never give up, do yo- Blegh!” She looked down, blood stained her torso.
“GAHAHAHAHA! TAKE THAT! WITH ONE OF MY TENDRILS RIPPING APART YOUR STOMACH YOU’LL END UP LIKE YOUR FOUR-EYED FRIEND OVER THERE!”
She shakily placed her hand on the tendril, beginning to grasp it.
“GYYYYAAAAAAAH!” She ripped it out, and with it came a massive splash of blood, staining her clothes.
“Agh, that was more painful than I expected… But even so, a wound like this won’t stop me from decimating you”.
She looked at her blood-stained blutklinge, “Terramir… Grant me more of your power, enough that I can handle… To finish off this piece of trash”.
A lazy voice echoed inside her.
Only this one time, girl.
The beast's eyes widened, “Terramir… You said that name earlier… It couldn’t be him… No… NO!”
The beast shook, the rage inside it seemed to be shifting to a whole new emotion…
Fear.
Something rather odd began to happen. An array of teeth began to form around the hole in Mia’s stomach. The teeth pulled together and closed, healing her wound entirely.
“What the hell? This… Energy… It feels so hungry… But also lonely”. She pondered for a moment but returned to the task at hand.
“You look different… Perhaps terrified?” She asked.
The beast mumbled to itself, “It can’t be him, It can’t be him, It can’t be him, It can’t be him, IT CAN’T BE HIM!”
It shot its tendrils towards Mia yet again, hoping to finish the battle.
“I’m sorry beast, but I’m afraid that won’t happen again”.
For an instant, Mia’s body flickered. In that minute moment, the beast could sense her behind it.
CRRRSHCKKKKBMMMMMMMMMMCHHH!
Each of its tendrils came crashing down to the ground, causing gusts of dust to surround the area.
The beast turned its head to its tendrils lying on the ground“damn it all! This can’t be happening! How can I take so much damage from a single girl?” It winced and looked back at Mia, “You may have severed my arms and ripped off my tendrils, but you still can’t win… You’re still only a human”.
She rolled her eyes and looked around, “Ugh, we’ve really torn up the place. Everything is completely leveled. I guess now the villagers can make new stuff here though, so that's a plus”.
“YOU IGNORE ME? YOU BRAT!”
“Ignore you? How can I ignore something that’s already dead?”
“Huh?”
Mia raised her sword up swiftly and a thin line shot up from the beast's groin to the top of its head.
“Hu-”
The beast's body splits in two, bifurcated.
“Well then, now that that’s over, I better tend to Hikaru’s wound… He’ll be ha- Shit… Not again… I really need to see a doctor for thi-”
Mia fell to the ground.
She laid there unconscious, and as she drifted away, her blutklinge reverted to its original form.
