“GYAAAAAAAAAAAAH! LIEUTENANT WE’RE FALLING! WE’RE GONNA DIE! THIS IS SO NOT COOL!” Hetomo continued screaming about the uncool nature of their current predicament.
“I know that! Where the hell are we gonna land? And where the hell did Mia and Yuai go?”
Hikaru contemplated their situation, his worry hastened as he thought of the girls.
“Lieutenant, you’re not gonna let me die, are you? Falling to my death with another guy is so not cool.”
Hikaru rolled his eyes in response, ignoring Hetomo’s concerns and focusing on the task at hand.
For now, I have to figure out a way for us to land. I-I have an idea but… It’s not gonna go well for Hetomo.
He raised his hand to his chin.
Actually, this plan may help him become less obsessed with whatever he perceives as being cool. Hmm, I know that he hates getting dirty… This plan might actually knock two birds out with one stone!
“Hetomo, I have a plan but- you’re not gonna like it.”
“A plan? I’m fine with anything that won’t get me killed!” He yelled.
“Hmm, alright.”
Hikaru positioned himself so that his body faced down towards the ground, he then outstretched his arms in front of him.
“KUGEL! KUGEL! KUGEL!”
A hailstorm of blood bullets rained down below. It was almost as if he was firing a gun.
“KUGEL! KUGel! Kuge-”
Hikaru panted heavily. “Damn it, using this many arcana spells is so tiring.”
“Lieutenant?”
Hikaru looked down to the clamped-on Hetomo, “You see, my idea was that if I can fire enough blood bullets below, then it’d slow our momentum, but- it seems my ineptness with arcana spells has gotten the better of me. I’m sorry.”
“Heh, heh, heh. You should’ve said that earlier, I’m what you’d call a prodigy!” Hetomo grinned smugly, “In my graduating class at the Huntsmen academy, I scored the highest for arcana proficiency.”
“Bah! Whatever, just do something so that we won’t die!”
Hetomo grinned and unclamped one of his arms from Hikaru’s leg.
“Blutdrachenge brull!” (Blood dragon roar)

A massive burst of blood shot out of Hetomo’s hand and rocketed below.
“AHA! See my coolness blossom!”
Hikaru watched in awe at the skills of his subordinate.
Who would’ve thought that he’d be able to do such a thing? I don’t remember a single time that he showed any ability regarding arcana spells.
Gradually, the two’s momentum slowed down, and eventually, after a few seconds, they landed.
SPLSSSSSH!
“Ugh! There’s blood all over my uniform!” Hetomo had a disgusted expression as he stood there grossed out. “So not cool!”
Hm, I guess that only knocked one bird out. I’ll have to find another way to get rid of his cool-obsessive narcissism.
The two began to walk forwards and found themselves in a large dimly lit room.
“Lieutenant, what is this place?” Hetomo looked around, eyeing the odd pieces of equipment placed around the room.
“Seems to be an old training room of some sort. Though saying old is a complete understatement.” Hikaru began inspecting a large humanoid piece of training equipment. “I haven’t seen these types of training dolls in years. I think the east stopped manufacturing them.”
The two continue to investigate the area, searching for an exit, and noting the aged equipment around them.
–
Suddenly, huge lights click on, causing the entire dimly lit area to be completely lit up.
“Gah! That’s bright!” Hikaru covered his eyes. “How’d the hell did the lights turn on? There shouldn’t be anyone down here.”
…
“Oh really? There shouldn’t be anyone down here? You’d think that even this old training ground would lack surveillance? How naïve you are, Hikaru, how naïve.” A boyish voice came from in front of them, “It’s been awhile hasn’t it, Hikaru? Or should I say, criminal?”
“Lieutenant- is that?”
“Ah, it is…” Hikaru gritted his teeth, “We may be in trouble, Hetomo… Shit.”
–
Ten minutes earlier, also falling down a large abyss, Mia and Yuai were in the same predicament.
“KYAAAAAAAH!” the two girls screamed in unison, both’s minds running wild with irrational thoughts.
“MIA, LIKE WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO? YEP!”
“Ah, ah, ah, um. AHA! Yuai! hold on to me as tight as you can! I have a wild idea!”
Yuai buried her face in Mia’s breasts and wrapped her arms around her.
“I’m like totes prepared, yep!”
Hm, she buried her face in my boobs again… Well; it works, I guess. Now, let’s see if I can use pure force to land safely. This may be a completely stupid idea, but it’s not like there are any other options. I’d ask Yuai, but I don’t think she’ll be able to come up with anything at the moment. I think she may be afraid of heights.
Mia took a deep breath.
“Well, here goes nothing!”
I can sense it, the ground. My instincts tell me that it’ll take seven seconds for us to land. I’ll have to brace myself and gather all the quelle I can. Well, I think that’ll work. Hopefully, this inner power stuff won’t get us killed.
She counted down to herself.
Seven, six, five.
She closed her eyes and focused all of her power into her legs and feet.
Four, three, two.
“AND ONE!”
BOOOOOOOOM!
With their landing came a massive crater beneath them. In an instant, a cloud of dust billowed up from the floor.
Cough, cough. “I can’t believe that worked. Yuai, are you alright?”
…
“Yuai?”
Mia glanced at the fashionista huntsman lying on the ground.
“Ah, mom is that like you? I’m totes fine, yep.”
Mia bent down and picked Yuai up. “Oi, oi! You okay? Your head is spinning in circles!”
Yuai shook her head, “Oh, Mia, is that like you? You’re totally my savior, like, thankies, yep.”
Mia sighed, “I’m glad you’re alright, or at least close to it. We should get moving though, we’ve been separated by Hikaru and Hetomo. The sooner we catch up to them, the better.”
“That’s such a smart idea, but like, where are we? Yep.”
“That is a good question.”
Mia helped Yuai to her feet, and they looked around.
“This place is so big, like it’d take ages to look around, yep.”
“Yeah, and it’s so dirty. There are dark stains and rubble everywhere.” Mia turned to Yuai. “I guess we don’t have a choice but to look around.”
