Each mechanical menace creaked with each movement, they’re metallic frames twitching due to their internal processes.
Mia drew her sword, it laid still in her grip showing her lack of fear in the eyes of these new opponents. “Which will be first? I can imagine that the big one will be the strongest but those guys hanging from the ceiling could be a definite threat”. She took a step forward, testing the reaction of any of the robots.
They remained still.
Feet away from her, “Oh right! I have to activate their hunt mode”, Alli said with a hint of shock in her voice, it seems she completely forgot that she designed them to only attack via a remote she stored on her person. “Alright, now let’s get started for real”.
BEEP!
She pressed a red button on a remote and a signal transferred to each bot, alarming them of the “beast” threat in front of them.
Each beast completely stopped moving, but within an instant they began protocol. Each bot lunged forwards at Mia, their weapons readied, focused on her.
Every attack they deployed was lethal. The two aerial bots fired bullets and other ranged weaponry, while the robots on the ground resorted to more melee means of attack.
Firstly, both the cauldron-boar and the rotund one-eyed bot charged at Mia, each using heavy force to bash into her. Luckily, in the heat of the moment Mia could easily dodge each of their assaults.
“I guess I’ll have to take out these two first, they’re fairly persistent so i’ll deal with them as a priority”, she thought as she dodged a spray of bullets from above.
She continued dodging every attack delivered to her, it was fair to say that her speed outmatched both of the bots.
Feet away, “Tell me Alli, how did you of all people acquire the means to make these robots? From what I can tell they have similar abilities to anti-beast mechs used by the covenant… Did you possibly steal blueprints from the covenant”, Gurren asked with his arms crossed. He from his years of service as a captain was well versed in the militaristic details of the covenant.
“Hmm perhaps… I think of it as a farewell gift from the covenant, but no matter how I acquired them I know they have loads of uses. Since we’re so far from Seiren(Huntsman Covenants HQ), We don’t get as many huntsmen coming through the city. It’s been a while since Indra has faced a major beast attack, but the last time we did… We lost thirty percent of the population. I took those mech schematics to protect this city. I won’t apologize for that”.
Gurren took a step towards Alli, “I hope you know that the Captain of division six will be quite mad if he found out it was you. I always had my suspicions, so I barely managed to cover it up”. He shook his head, reminiscing of the trouble he had to go through. “Anyways, wouldn’t you say this is a rather odd way of training her? You’d think Hikaru would be a good partner, even if he did awaken his blutklinge”.

“I could’ve gotten Hikaru to do this yes, but, I feel like that would’ve had a problematic outcome”.
“What do you mean?” Gurren asked, confused.
“Well, when I look at Mia and specifically her blutklinge I get a dark feeling. Usually to evolve your blutklinge you have to slay a large amount of beasts and stain the blade with their blood, that's common knowledge. But I can’t help but feel her’s hungers for more”.
“More?”
“This is complete speculation but, I think her blutklinge is drawn more to human blood. I know it sounds crazy but when I look at it, it looks like a giant mass of hate and rage. I understand her driving force for getting stronger is because she saw her friend get killed by a beast, but I think it’s more than that”.
“I’ve been getting a similar feeling, when we did that test earlier I could feel ravenous animosity emanating from it”. Gurren watched Mia as she fought off and crushed the cauldron-boar and one-eyed bot. “She may have just become a huntsman but, I sense she’ll become much more, and not in a short amount of time either”.
Mia continued fighting against the bots, now only nine left, she felt fairly confident for the rest of them. “Alright, those two weren’t that difficult. I think I can probably take out the rest relatively quickly… Well, except for that big guy, he’s giving me a more serious feeling”.
Now rolling over to her was the tread-saw bot, its saw blade emitted sparks as it spun. Behind the tread-saw was a witch mech, this one’s weapon was unknown. They both quickly attacked Mia, on her right the tread-saw extended its saw and pumped it towards her repeatedly like a jackhammer with murderous intent. The witch bot on the other hand was extremely fast, it shot around Mia in the blink of an eye.
“So we have a relentless attacker and a quick attacker huh? I was hoping this’d be more of a challenge but I guess I was wrong”.
When the witch shot behind her and prepared for a sneak attack but Mia disappeared from sight. The bots head spun as it tried to locate her.
VOOSH!
Yet again she used a high speed moving technique to almost teleport behind the witch, and with an aggressive downward slash she split it in two.
“Alli”.
“Yes Gurren”.
“I hope you know how to rebuild these robots, Mia doesn’t really have a sense of holding back”.
“Well, it’s a good thing you’re here. You must’ve seen some of division six’s project, therefore you should have a vague idea of this sort of stuff”. She laughed and crossed her arms, “she’s doing well, I can’t imagine her training will take too long, in fact, I think she’ll be completely ready after this. I also don’t think she’ll need to learn any blood arcana either”.
For the entire time during Mia battling the robots and Alli/Captain Yakusuke’s conversation Hikaru stayed quiet, he listened and watched everything. “Mia’s progressing well, and at a much quicker rate than any average huntsman. I still find it strange though, why’s the Captain rushing her training so much, I wish he’d tell me what's going on”, he thought whilst tapping his foot. It was rather unusual for the normally vocal Captain of the second division was now being quite secretive. Hikaru thought it to be strange, “will he act the same way to the rest of the division?”
Minutes passed, Mia had crushed nearly all the bots, each was either crushed or slashed to pieces. All that remained was the hanging bots and the gigantic tentacle one. It was clear that out of all of them these were the big hitters.
Mia gripped her blutklinge tighter than before, AGGGGHHHHH! She charged and jumped, disregarding any thought or plan, she only had one thought in her mind…
Destroy.
