I awoke to a message from the mayor of Vancouver asking me to contact him because he had information about my airline. There was no time like the present, so I went to the office and made the call.

"Good morning sir," I said to him

"Good morning captain, how are the wives treating you" he smiled

"Excellent and pregnant" I joked

"Oh I hear you there, the wife is in full baby mode right now " he smiled "She loves being pregnant and I can't say thank you enough"

I smiled "All I did was fix the plumbing the rest is all you and the wife"

"I have news of your airline. It's a go as of Canada Day. It's all above the board like you wanted, and there was a unanimous vote at our airport for your expansion plans for the dome over the existing airport. Everyone was shocked that you would take over services, reducing them to zero," he said with a happy smile. I can't believe you will have that done in a week. "

"That's a week keeping you open, it would be a day if we shut down" he shook his head.

"That's a nono, nobody wants a shutdown and interruption to flights"

"Ence forth the week, Sara could you join the call" She appeared and greeted the mayor and was happy when she found out she could start construction.

With a bright smile, she said, "I will start construction tomorrow and look into a parking structure as well, I predict you will need it" Then she disappeared.

The mayor looked at me with a sly smile "Can I ask about what I saw on the news

I matched his grin "Seeing I was in the neighborhood we were just rendering aid when all the legal stuff happened"

He shook his head "The military knows we are in contact so they are trying to come through me to get to you"

I raised an eyebrow "What branches of the military"?

"All of them and one of the DOD called me directly," he said with an exasperated tone.

"Is there anyone you trust out of that crew"?

He thought for a moment. "There is one general that I've known for years if that works," he said in a brighter tone.

"Reach out to him and let him know I will talk to him, let's see what they are looking for"

He nodded and threw up a goofy salute "Copy that captain" he said with a laugh that I matched.

"Has Sara contacted the police in Vancouver yet"?

He glanced down at some paperwork "Yeah I have her scheduled in for this afternoon with the chief of police and some others, can I ask what that is about".

I smiled "Better tasers and body armor for your officers and some training modules they can use".

He sat up straight "For real" I nodded "I'm sure they will appreciate that"

"I will let Sara handle it from there she has all the specs and info" With that we ended the call and I went to get some breakfast finding my wives at the table so I collected kisses and got my usual breakfast of bacon and eggs, you don't mess with the classics.

Lisa led off "You have the place to yourself we have plans for the day".

then Cora "We want to learn to fly the ships so we can go anywhere we want and not rely on Vicky or Sara"

I smiled "What ships are you going to start with"

My eyes shot open "Ok, may I ask why the fighters"

Cora answered, "We are thinking of helping the kits with their cleanup mission".

I'm glad they are getting hobbies and I knew B would keep them out of harm's way "I think that is an awesome idea, I get to say my Air Force is my family" I giggled.

I finished breakfast, collected kisses, and sent my wives to battle space junk. I set my sights on Progress, I have new people to check on.

When the lift opened, just a few people were milling about. Some looked spooked, but everyone was getting along, playing with the comm units and the glasses. Looking around, I found Emma and Ryan in their office working as usual.

"good morning I've come to check on the kids we helped"

They both smiled and Ryan led off "You will have to go to the moon, we had volunteers to help take care of the ones we couldn't find their parents. There are a few that decided to stay even though they had a home to go to".

Then Emma "Out of the 42 you rescued we only have 11 left" Now that made me smile knowing we can provide them with a good home.

I looked at the extra desk in their office "Did you find someone to help you"?

Emma shrugged "We were going to but now that the park is open for jobs there are only a few people here now and we kind of ran out of people in Vancouver"

Another smile from me "I think it is time to expand if you are up for it"

That got me bright smiles and nods "I want you to start working your way up the valley and get in touch with Sara to set the ground rules for how we tackle other cities. I want to say how proud I am of both of you, I gave you this task and you hit the ground running. I want you to know I see all the work you have done here and that's why if you want to stay in charge of this project. I have one request, talk with Sara and design your ship to help people" That got me some shocked looks "It's not like I don't like having the people here but this ship could be on the go a lot and I would rather there was something a little more static"

They both looked at me with a shocked expression and Ryan spoke first "You want us to design a ship"

I just nodded. "You designed Progress, and it's perfect for what we were doing in Vancouver, but we may need something bigger for other cities. Expand Progress, then build a ship around it the way you want. Sara can take care of the rest."

Emma was practically jumping for joy "I thought when Vancouver was done we were out of a job" she giggled.

"Not at all, take a day or two and put your heads together for ideas then get together with Sara and hash out the details". Emma came in for a hug "Thank you captain" Ryan smiled and shook my hand.

Making my way back to my office I found Vicky waiting for me with her usual smile "Good morning Vickey how is your day going"?

She smiled bigger "I found a protoplanet" I threw her a questioning look "It's the core of a failed planet"

"I know what it is why is it so exciting"

"Because it's thousands of tons of material in one spot, it's enough to complete a base. Speaking of bases people in the scientific community found our construction on Mars. There were a lot of emails about it but they all agreed on one thing, they all figured it's yours so should I confirm it with them"?

"Yes, you're cleared to take ownership but after that, it's Sara's baby. Have we finished mapping the asteroid belt yet" " She shook her head.

"That should take a few more weeks and I'm sure we will find a few more deposits, A has it under control"

"How is work coming on your moon base"

She lit up with a smile. "We're ahead of schedule now that we've received the latest shipment from mining operations. We should have the dome finished within the week, and after that, the interior will move quickly."

"Where are we stockpiling the material" I said with a questioning look.

"On the moon" she brought up a hologram showing ships offloading 10-ton blocks, 4 of them being gold, "We have every rare earth metal refined to 100% pure for the market if we need some funds but I don't think that will be necessary after the launch of the comm units. You should make at least 20 billion right off the bat and a lot more when we go worldwide"

"Have people on earth noticed the stockpiles on the moon"? She nodded "Like how noticed"

"They have redirected 3 satellites to take high-rez photos. I did this on purpose, I wanted no doubt of your wealth. We found lots of gemstones that you can give as gifts and this is my favorite" A hologram of a giant diamond appeared "I took this one and cut it so it was exactly 1 kilogram right to the atom"

I smiled "Do you think we should give it away or display it"? She shrugged "What about making displays for the airport for people to look at while they wait for the next shuttle to the moon"

She smiled, and then a display appeared with the diamond lit from below and rotating with a holo map showing where we found it in the solar system. We were chatting as more appeared containing a lot of weird-looking crystals all refracting light in different ways.

Vicky looked at me "With a shuttle leaving every 15 minutes we may want to put some in the airport as well, I will contact Sara and see if she wants to use them in the airports she is converting"

I got up as my wives entered the quarters and came to me for much-needed hugs.

Lisa led off "ok the flying is fun but the shooting not so much"

"I was watching the kits and they are attacking 10 targets at once, I could barely handle 2" Cora giggled

"I think I'm done for the day" Looking at Vickey got me a nod and a smile

We settled in and the girls told me about their day and I was to listen, at least that's what I was told. They loved flying and informed me that they do all the flying from now on, I just smiled and nodded. I love seeing them happy and excited and that's how I spent my evening.
