I awoke to 6 little and one big body cuddled to me. I just lay there enjoying the sensations of closeness. I looked down at Lisa and saw her eyes darting around lost in her dreamscape. After 10 min my bladder decided it's time to move so I tried to move bodies without waking them, I failed miserably.

Emerging from the bathroom I was greeted with smiles and a nose lick. "Everyone is at our place, I came to wake you 20 min ago and couldn't resist".

"Finally up eh" yelled Jaden as I walked in carrying kits. "You don't have to be here to get into trouble" my eyebrows came together "now what did I do?" I retorted in my defense. Jaden got me a coffee and cane over and sat "not you, your bugs" she laughed "I had an odd dream last night from your nanobots. They asked me if they could take care of us as well" she hugged me "they said it's based on your emotional attachment to your offspring". She giggled "I know you love us so I said yes. We have your nanobots instead of the stock ones".

"As long as you are ok with it" she smiled "I am". I looked at Vickey "scan everyone and let me know how far this is going". She laughed "I did and the kits have yours as well. They are acting as your conscience and protecting the ones you love."

"We have all talked about it this morning and we understand why it's happening. Oh look at your wrist and think of the time." I did what she said as the time and date appeared in a hologram on my wrist.

"That's new".

"They integrated your comms protocol of the comms network you were thinking about, smart little buggers" Vicky smiled. I looked at Gar and Kim. "are you ok with this". Kim started to laugh "I have no problem with it at all, this just proves you're the favorite uncle". She giggled. Gar stepped in "all you have done is protect them more than you already have" Kim nodded.

"Ok" was my reply as Lisa came to me for a nose lick. "I'm having fun designing my new body". That made me smile and I looked at Jaden who was talking to the girls through a hologram in her hand, they were in the bedroom.

She looked at me "just hold out your hand and think of the person you want to talk to". I did as she said and thought of my contact list and everyone was there.

Ryan and Emma looked out of place "Vickey can the comms work with their generation of bots". She nodded" they are the same as yours, just less powerful". I smiled "please activate them in Emma and Ryan please". I watched them jump when they appeared. I laughed and went to them. They were wide eyed by the time I got there. "I'm sorry but that was funny, I'm sorry they weren't done sooner".

That got smiles and they dove in playing with the holograms. I saw Autumn playing with toys on the sofa and laughing with the kits. Their laugh was so cute it made anyone smile. I got a coffee and decided to play with my new toy.

I thought of Autumn and her face appeared in the palm of my hand. I looked at the real her and realized it was in real time. I thought about her health and it came up. It showed everything from her body temp to her blood pH and everything in between. I looked at Jaden "have you found this yet". She looked at me and nodded "the nanobots gave me a lesson last night of the benefits". I just shrugged "always the last to know" I giggled.

I looked at the twins "how are you adjusting to the situation". Emma smiled "everything is excellent, it's easier to just go with the flow and see where we end up" Ryan nodded. "Let me know if it gets to be too much". That got laughter from both. "Emma and myself have talked and we can't wait to see what's next. This is scary, fun and exciting all at once. I never thought once in my life I would have holograms in my hands, but hey it's only mid week". That got laughs from all.

I leaned over to Jaden "think you're ok going back to civilization?" She smiled "once I get everything paid I will look for a house for us".

"Just pick it and tell Vicky, she will take care of the rest" she nodded. "Are you bringing your mom up here for the treatment". She nodded "probably there are a few people I want to help if that's ok". I smiled "you have options there. There is a medbed in the RV so feel free to use it. Remember that work can go away for you now." She smiled "I know I put in my notice" that made me smile. "I need to open up another part of the ship for all these people. Actually nothing like the present.

Vickie stepped up "way ahead of you bub" she brought up a hologram of the command quarters deck and a few below. The 2 floors below changed from crew quarters to a large communal area. A tree grew out of the main floor and traveled to the second floor ceiling. The entire thing had 35 quarters, some one bedroom to three. There was a communal meal area around the tree in the grassy area. That made me smile and Jaden gave her approval "it will be done in a few hours" Vickey said.

I looked at Jaden "Lexi can go get her dad today if you want or you can just chill till later". She smiled "no time like the present, Lexi call your dad and see if he is free for the day"

"ok mom" came from her wrist, scaring her slightly. "What are you going to give them?" Jaden asked. "A run through the medbed and nanobots. I want to keep them safe for Lexi's sake. Vickey can make cards with 500k on them, their life might get complicated. Jessica's dad can come as well the next time your talking to him". She nodded and Lexi came out of the bedroom "it's just dad, his mom and girlfriend". I smiled "wanna have some fun?" I said with an evil smile.

Everyone got a nervous smile "oh nothing bad, I'm giving my granddaughters their first mission. Jessica you fly down, mom can handle the driving and Lexi can show off for her dad and fly back. Vickey will help if you need it". Lexi was practically jumping "that will be fun". I looked at Jaden "go get your mom and her dads crew, Autumn is fine here". She nodded "don't be evil to mom, well not to evil" she laughed "I promise" I retorted. They left for the flight deck and I went to check progress on the new area.

I was impressed by the speed of the transformation. It had the feel of an open air hotel, maybe I should consider a pool. I walked around and decided to change one of the 4 bedroom units to a medbay with 6 beds. It needed something so I put in a playground for the kids. The common area had a full kitchen for communal meals and lots of seating. Lots of light came from an inverted dome on the ceiling but you could look right at it with no discomfort. Vickey appeared and told me Jaden needs lessons driving the RV according to her offspring . I laughed at that "she will get used to it, it all takes time". I laughed out loud and got an echo and that wasn't right. I looked at Vickey "can you get rid of the echo. It makes it feel so empty".

"I can change the shape slightly so there is no echo".

I went back to the quarters and got mobbed at the door. First was a nose lick and a hug from Lisa. Then I got scaled by the 6 kits, they haven't quite learned to use their claws to just hook the material and not scratch me. I told everyone about the new quarters and the guests incoming. I went to Emma and Ryan "go check them out and see if you like them and the area. Remember if you wish to be alone it's a big ship". They went to look well ran mostly. I chuckled and went to sit and the kits shot up on high alert.

Vickey let me know they just landed. "That's 3 decks away, how did they know". I looked at Kim and Gar and got blank stares and open mouths. I collected the kits and let them know it's ok and they seemed to relax.

I messaged Jaden and asked if my presence was required and was told "not yet but soon". The male kit came to me as if to check on me, he was followed by his sisters. I looked at Gar and Kim "don't look at me I'm lost at this point" Gar said.

The message from Jaden came faster than I thought, I replied and asked about aliens and got a "bring them" as my answer. When the lift opened all the kits jumped to the ground and formed a semicircle around the opening. They let others pass and kept the circle around me. I bent down and picked up the male and the others climbed on.We made the rounds and I met Lexi dad, mom and girlfriend.

They seemed like nice people. Then came Patti, Jaden's mom, the kits took a dislike to her right away, I think I heard a hiss but wasn't sure.

Patti was staring at me so I looked at her "come on out with it".

"That is really you isn't it?" I nodded "this is the new me, the old me is dead''. With that she seemed to accept it for now, after what she did she isn't my favourite person. They all sat in the communal area where Jaden and I answered questions. One of the first had to do with my grandchildren being pilots.

"They wanted to learn, I just gave them the opportunity". Lexi started laughing "I can fly but I can't drive" this got a laugh from all. I told them there are no assigned apartments so just choose wherever "this is new so if you see something you think would help speak up ok" that got all nodded. That's when the size of the ship came up and they were shocked at the answer.

The kits wouldn't leave my side just interacting with who was in front of me. Jaden came over and asked about Patti and the kits.

"I have no answer to give you, hold on a sec. Vicky is there any information being transferred from me and the kits". She looked at me for a second "yes there are snippets of information being passed back and forth"

"could feelings be part of the info?" She nodded. "Well that answers that, the kits are picking up on my feelings about your mom".

She giggled "that could be good and bad at the same time". I just nodded and shook my head. "Vicky how is the bank coming along" she smiled "as of this morning your up to 2 billion and the harvesters have reached the asteroid belt so supplies will be unlimited soon. Lexi's dad came to me and thanked me personally, I have a lot of respect for that and he seems to be a nice guy. I did ask him to keep it quiet for a bit and he agreed. "If it's ok I'm going to have drones in your home for safety if that is ok" he smiled and nodded.

We spent a few min going over what they were and he was happy with it. I looked at Lisa holding Autumn and she yawned, within seconds the kits followed suit. I took this as my cue, I collected little people for their nap.

I went to my quarters and all of them were out the minute their head hit the bed. I guess being at high alert takes a lot out of you. They were all cuddled together at the head of the bed making the bed look huge. I stood and watched for a few min then went to my office. As soon as I sat down, my entire brain crew appeared.

B and C brought me up to speed on the medical and supply ships they designed. They were more than I could imagine. The hologram showed a mid-sized ship that was white with a Red Cross on the side. The back opened, forming a ramp to a huge cargo bay lined with medbeds and robotic assistants, one per bed. "These ships can power half a city if they have to" that made me smile.

Next were the supply ships. The hologram showed the square ship land then split into 3 areas. One for food, one for waste and one for water. "We can make baskets that we can change depending on where we are and the water can fill anything from a water bottle to a tanker". The hologram changed again to a square ship that was packed to the brim with drones and bots. "Here is your ground crew and fire suppression".

"Tell me about the bots on the med ship" I looked at them and I liked them. They have almost metal muscles under a light blue exterior that is flexible.

"These are in use in many civilizations. All I had to do was make them bipedal. They have 10 times the strength of the fittest human and can work independently or with humans to help rescue. I will make sure they don't have the uncanny valley that creeps people out" I laughed at that.

It was A next "Sir May I start mapping the solar system" I looked at him "absolutely, how far can we scan at present". "We can see about 40 AU from the sun but I'm working on relays that will push that further." He smiled.

I looked at Vickie "tell me about the recycling tech like how fast can you decompile a house".

"About 25 min but that is one of the big units, the handhelds are slower but great for search and rescue. It uses the same recycling tech as in your kitchen. The big ones produce radiation that's why the replicators are shielded during operation. The handheld units don't produce enough to hurt you because of the low power".

B stepped up next "we finished the accommodations section of your request" he brought up what looked like a tent city. "If we go with tents we can have 200 an hour, 100 if we go with solid walls. They all have washrooms, replicators and wifi" he chuckled

"I love it and I have one more task for you. I am not revealing myself so I'm going to need an avatar. Make it like the rest just a bit taller so people can find me, mabey a different colour". He smiled "consider it done sir". I smiled "I've never had a support system like this and I want you to know that".

With that I looked at the time, 22:00. Time to pack it in so I went to bed.
