I woke up dreading what I had to do today, but realized I have to do it. I have to deal with my family.

I got up without disturbing my brood and made my way to my office where Vickey was waiting. "I think the same way we got Jaden will work. Both of us and a message from the old me, we can get them here and answer questions all at once". Vickey nodded "we can go east to west moving the ship as we go".

I took the RV and set the ship to follow us across Canada. "Can you make it feel like we are driving while we are flying?" another nodd "I can tint the windows and turn off the damper so they won't know they are flying it should provide enough feedback. I can make a landing area that will fool them into thinking they are at a hotel".

Nova Scotia first, I landed not far from my sister Barb's place and pulled up in front. I got the holodisk and followed Vickey to the door, I knocked. My sister answered the door "May I help you". Vicky spoke up "we have a message from your brother Brad may we show it to you". She stepped back and let us enter and I pulled out the holodisk.

The old me appeared "hello Barb" she just blinked "Barb are you ok".

"Um yea, Brad what is going on?"

"I'm collecting the entire family today for a meeting we need to have. I need you to come with me for a few days, the offer is for your whole family. All you need to do is get ready like you're going to the mall". Barb looked at me and Vicky "then who are you". I smiled "we work for your brother" she got a shocked look on her face. "Don't make me regret this Brad".

My hologram laughed "Barb for once in your life shut up and do what you're told". That made her huff but she went to get ready making phone calls along the way. This stop resulted in 11 of my family in the RV and on our way. My hologram popped up again "Barb start making phone calls and warn the rest of the family. I would like to have them ready to go when I get there". She nodded and went for her phone again.

For the rest of the day Vickey and I picked up my family. 11 stops across Canada to collect as many as I could. I got all my living siblings and lots of their kids and some of theirs. Vicky did an awesome job with the landing area making it look like a hotel entrance and she shuffled everyone off to the living area.

Everyone was milling around hugging the family members enjoying the family reunion. I appeared as a full size hologram "hello everyone" that started the questions. "Ok I will give you a choice. It's late so we can get some sleep and go over this in the morning or now".

Now was the answer I got. I got up from my seat and stood by my hologram and Vicky joined me "no more hiding" I made the hologram disappear "I need you to sit quietly and listen for a few min ok". Everyone nodded "Vicky bring them up to speed".

I looked at their faces with blank expressions until they found out I died. She got into my new body and back to blank faces"

My turn "you may recognize the other face I've been using" I brought up a hologram of my avatar. "No way" I heard from one of the kids. "I don't get it," said my sister Angie. "Watch the news mom," said her daughter. "So you are the one doing all the rescues?"

"Yes I am," I replied. "What about the ship?" asked Luke's son. "You mean the one you're on right now" I winked at him and his eyes got big.

"Where are we now" came from one of the kids. I brought up a hologram of the ship over BC. "Cooool is this the ship that ate the space station" I heard from a young female voice. We all laughed "I didn't eat it I took it into one of my hangar bays and fixed it"

"Why are we here?" asked my brother Earl. I looked at him "you're here so I can guarantee you safety. I need to make sure that they can't get to me through you. I'm going to step on a lot of powerful toes and we know how people act. I'm going to make sure you're taken care of and safe from this day forth".

"Let's start with this, Darrell come up here please". He got a worried look on his face and came to stand in front of me. "You're first in the bed". Another worried look "what bed" I pointed at medical that was clearly marked. "This will get rid of your diabetes and make you feel great. Vickey could you please". She led him to the medbed. That's one down, 2 dozen more to go.

"What's happening to my dad" Amanda asked "he is having everything that can be fixed repaired, he will come out good as new" Vickey came to me and whispered in my ear "he will be out in an hour" she seemed ok with that answer. "Are we all going in the beds?" I heard from the crowd. I nodded "this is the beginning of me keeping you safe and healthy". Vickey went on a spiel that lasted for the most part of an hour. She went over how the nanobots work and what they will be able to do. The fact that they will be immune to all viruses and the talk of their lifespan drew shocked looks.

She was still talking when Darrell came out with a shocked look on his face and he was looking at his hands. Amanda ran to him hugged him then stood back "dad you look the same age as me". He looked shocked. "I feel younger" he looked at me. "You're about 35 again on your new timescale".

"New timescale?"

"I will let your daughter bring you up to speed" he just nodded and walked away with Amanda.

For the next few hours I cycled everyone through the beds. Most were 20 min but there were a few that were longer. Seems old age requires more work.

Vickey was walking around talking to the people and playing with the kids. I saw Tena get out of the bed and look at herself. I guess she thought she would be skinny like the others.

Finally everyone was done so I gathered them together. "I can now track you and keep you safe. There are a lot of nut jobs out there that would use you to get to me when I go public with what I bring".

"Tech like what" came from someone. "Free energy, free food,free housing and free education".

"Yup you're gonna piss a lot of people" Shaun said while shaking his head.

"Like Vickey said, that's why I was made, so to speak. Listen why don't we call it a night there and pick it up in the morning". Everyone chose an apartment and after a few hugs I went to leave and saw Barb looking at me.

"Come on out with it" she smiled "just proud of my son" I took a deep breath "I am not your son Barb, you gave up that title when I was 4 and the adoption papers were signed. Every time you say that you disrespect mom, she raised me and put up with my shit so she alone holds the monicker of mother in my world". She had tears in her eyes and I didn't care so I left. Vicky leaned in "you ok". I looked at her and smiled "I'm just fine".

"Why did your grandmother adopt you, I can't find it in my files?"

"You know I've heard so many different stories I don't know what is true". She just nodded and said nothing.

The next morning I showed up with the kits clinging to me. Everyone was scared of them at first but when the kits went to investigate the new people they were welcomed. It was cute to hear them say hello in their little voices. They went from person to person, sniffing and smiling. I heard an ouch and saw my sister Tena pulling her hand back after one of the kits scratched her, I smiled at that.

My niece Shauna's son came to me "are we on the moon?". I looked at him "not at the moment what did you need little man?" He smiled a shy smile "I wanted a rock". We spent hours reminiscing and talking about the future. Before I knew it lunchtime came around so I told them about moms spaghetti and meatballs.

My brothers were fighting over who got to go first, producing laughter. Vicky let them know how she made it from my memories for me.

There were smiles all around and I made a plate for me and the kits. The kits sat on the table with me and dug in. We all laughed at the kids covered in sauce and we made our way to a refresher.

"You said Vicky made this from your memories, is she linked to you" came from a neices or was she a grand niece. Vickey popped in "oh that's not that half of it". She didn't get into my upgrades last night. She laid it all out for them. "So you have access to his memories like data files" came from a nephew "I have access to every moment of my life". I brought up the day I met him for the first time and let him watch. The kids thought it was neat but the adults knew the downside, all the dark ones are there as well. It was Angie that said "your brain recorded everything". I nodded "every memory, every feeling, good or bad".

"Vicky, could you call the triplets". She nodded and they appeared. That's when the questions started so I let them field them. The triplets answered questions about me to verify they had access to my memory as well.

I noticed that Vicky was agitated and actually had to bite her tongue a few times. I pulled her aside asking why "I'm getting irritated seeing your sisters sitting there with Barb and they are one of the main reasons you were so screwed up". That will come out eventually so we only have to make face for a few days". She nodded.

And that's the way the day went, lots of questions. I would bring up a memory of my life when they weren't part of it. Vickey avoided my sisters and they caught it resulting in them talking to themselves. Barb came up behind me "I understand what you said and I won't say it anymore" I spun to look at her "yes you will Barb you can't help yourself, the same as Tena can't keep her mouth shut. That's why this will probably be the last conversation we have. Your brother died a long time ago and I'm honoring his memory and keeping you safe when my identity comes out. I am Brad and I'm not anymore, I've changed so much you wouldn't even know me not that you did in the first place. We all have been strangers for a long time, not being cynical just being honest".

That put a somber mood for the rest of the evening but I didn't care.

The next was worse, Vicky got involved. She got the sisters in a room and played them a video of my memories of them torturing me as a kid. "You are not getting the physical upgrades because I said no to them. I took it out of Brad's control. You 3 have done nothing but muddle and undermine his life. You got the health benefits but if you want to look better get off your ass". With that she disappeared and told me what she did. They avoided me for the rest of their stay.

"Vickey are the cards done". She nodded so I gathered everyone together as a bot delivered a box. "Everyone here has a bank card with their name on it please come up and find yours". I dumped them on the table and waited for them to find theirs. "There is one million in the accounts tax free". That got a lot of chatter "where did you get this money" Vicky jumped in "Brad's bank is into the billions now" Blank stares "I warned you your life will change" a few nods and a gasp.

I got a notification I set up "I'm sorry I have a rescue mission to debrief. I will be back in a bit".

"Is the rescue in Texas done?" Asked Earl, I just nodded.

On the flight deck there isn't really much for me to do but greet the crew. Sandy emerged with 4 people in tow, I only recognized 2.

"This is Jill and Sam, Sam is an RN and Jill is a 4 year resident. I think they will fit in well amongst the crew. I introduced myself "welcome to the ship and to the crew, I'm glad to have you here. My family is using a bunch of the apartments. Are you ok there or do you want me to put you somewhere else". They all looked at one another and shrugged. "I'm sure your family doesn't bite, we should be ok" I nodded at that and made my retreat to go get a coffee and all that comes with it.

I found Lisa and she had a coffee waiting for me. I looked at her "you feel ready to meet my family?" She smiled "I would love to". I really hope this goes well. We took the lift and as soon as the door opened I saw Tena yelling at Earl about the upgrades they got and she didn't.

"ENOUGH" I yelled and brought up a hologram that haunts my dreams.

I remember this day, I used to get it as flashbacks. It was Father's Day and I was upset for obvious reasons with no father and was sitting in the kitchen. Tena was telling me how much of a piece of shit and a drunk my father was and I was better off that he was dead. I didn't think so, especially then I was 9.

"That was life with you growing up, it was never ending. I want nothing from you but silence. You tortured me growing up and Vicky got to watch it all, take what she gave you and go home. Vicky can take you home when you're ready so just go. Angie you can go with her, Barb when you get it through your head I'm not your son anymore we can talk but that's not right now".

I walked to my brothers "your stay is indefinite, stay as long as you like". They nodded and then their eyes opened when Lisa gave me a lick "I'm sorry mom needs me".

"Ok I will be there in a bit". That made my brother's eyes focus on me. I got into the story of being claimed that got me laughs. I told them about saving the kit family and being papa. I assured them that their kids and their kids are going to be part of the protection bubble.

After we talked for a little while we worked out that Shaun could contact the ones that aren't there. "Knowing you're doing this takes a weight off, thank you". Shaun put his hand on my shoulder "anytime my brother, Shelly is loving this". I smiled "it's not like I don't have the room" I laughed. Shelly came over and Shaun gave her the pitch. She smiled wide "I don't know where the brother in law I dreaded to hear from went but this works" she laughed and everyone joined in.

So over the next few weeks all 21 nieces and nephews and their kids will come through, this should be fun. The lift opened and the entire kit family came out and were a bit hit with my brothers. Lisa gave me a lick "how come I don't get a hello like that" Darrell laughed and got hit by his daughter. I looked at Shaun and Shelly "do you want your girls here with you?" They looked at one another then back to me "sure".

"Why don't you go get them" they nodded and I looked at Vickey "would you please". She nodded and left, Shaun and Shelly followed. I looked at Earl and Darrell "you guys gonna retire".

"No, I can go back to work now," Darrell said. Earl just shrugged "I have no idea but possibly a business" I smiled. "Well if you need more money let me know".

I looked over at the kits playing with the kids and knew they were fine. The kids couldn't catch them and they loved the attention, the little hams. They would only stand still for a picture. I watched as one of the boys started making faces, the kits looked at one another puzzled then the game was on. There wasn't a straight face between them, Kim is going to kill me.

I looked at Shelly "if they have big dogs you might want to look into boarding". She looked at me "yea a dog could hurt these cuties". I started to laugh "it's the other way around" I went to the replicator and got a drinking glass and the male cut it for me while they watched.

"There are no big dogs but I would count the kits when they leave" she giggled. Shaun perked up "so where is the golf course, you'd have everything else" I remember he loves his golf. I called B and asked if they could come up with something.

Shelly asked me "will we be staying here alone". I shook my head "no I have people in a few of the quarters, I guess they are hiding. They are more of my crew".

"Once the girls see the clothing replicator I figure they will be lost so I will make bags for them to take home. Should I put weight limits on them" I laughed and they joined me.

B sent me a message to come to the flight deck so Shaun Shelly and I went to see. We found B on the flight deck next to a tent-like structure. He asked Shaun to put on the goggles that were built for him. Inside the tent was a full set of clubs and a full VR setup. Shaun pulled off the goggles "this is beyond VR this is like being there" he put them back on and went for a club. "He can play on any course on earth and I made a few on other planets as well".

Shelly walked up to me and smacked my chest "I just lost my husband" she laughed "I'm my defense don't you play as well?" She nodded and B looked at her "I made it for 2" he pointed to the second set of goggles. Shelly laughed "Vickey is taking care of the girls so why not". It was funny seeing them all wired up but they seemed to like it.

Lisa came to me about taking another beach day. "I think that's a fine idea B we will need 2 more RV's please". He nodded "coming up". "This will look funny, the RV's on a beach in the middle of nowhere". That got giggles and nose lick. "We can work out the details in the morning. We went to my quarters and called it a day
