Sam experienced no sensation during the instantaneous transportation process, finding himself abruptly in an entirely unfamiliar place.
He found himself in the middle of nowhere. Looking up, he saw only darkness blanketing the sky, with a crescent blue moon gently shining down upon the land. Its soft light illuminated the night, accompanied by countless stars twinkling above. The serene yet eerie scene cast an otherworldly glow, making the vast emptiness around him feel both mysterious and oddly comforting.
"Well this is definitely not Earth," Sam muttered as he surveyed his surroundings.
The environment felt alien, with towering mountains in the distance and an expansive forest of unusually tall trees spreading out in every direction.
As he was starting to wonder what's the plan for going forward, the System voice appeared.
*Welcome to the tutorial*
"...What a way to kick off a tutorial, alone in a creepy forest at night with no clear objective from the system. Not ominous at all," Sam remarked with a shake of his head.
The important thing right now is the plan for going forward. There's no guarantee he can't die on his starting point but also no guarantee on not getting attacked by unknown beasts in the forest and dies horrible death. As he start pondering what to do his ears picked up some noises, seemingly a ruckus from human group(?) on his left. After thinking about it for awhile he decided to go to the left where he heard some faint human sounds.
"Nothing venture nothing gained I guess" Sam said to himself to boost his mental.
Carefully avoiding any noise that might alert predators, Sam moved stealthily through the forest. After a few minutes, he spotted a flickering light amidst the dense foliage.
"A campfire," Sam observed, making his way toward the source. As he approached, he recognized the faces around the fire.
*Rustle*
"WHO'S THERE?!" A man's voice bellowed, prompting Sam to step out from the bushes, raising a hand.
"Relax there Jason, it's me Sam" he calmly stated.
"Sam?! Oh my god! You're alive!"
"Fortunately yes I'm still alive" Sam said with a smile.
While Jason still processing his return to the group, Sam took a glance to each of his "Friends." Rebecca is sitting and shivering on top of a wooden log and seems to be fine apart from the shivering, now she wore a white robe with what looked like a wooden staves on her side. Robert and Jessica seems to be sitting awfully close to each other, Robert wore a dark blue cloak with daggers on his hips and Jessica wore yellow robe. As for Jason he also looked fine, he wore the basic warrior set like me. Overall, the group seemed intact but appeared like stressed teenagers in a challenging group project.
"So Jason, would you mind telling me what happened here?" Sam asked, his tone calm but curious.
"Sure! So, when we got here we-" Jason began, only to be interrupted by Jessica.
"What's the point of telling you? Are you going to protect us or something? Don't waste our time with your nonsense," Jessica snapped sharply.
Sam's smile vanished instantly. He leaned against a nearby tree, fixing Jessica with a steely gaze.
"Kindly, shut your mouth, bitch. I wasn't talking to you, don't test my patience"
As soon as Sam uttered those words, the atmosphere in the group suddenly shifted making everyone a bit tensed.
"What did you just say to me?!" Jessica shot back, her voice rising in anger as she stormed toward Sam. Within moments, she was standing face to face with him.
"Say it again," she demanded through gritted teeth.
"Bitch. You. Are. A. Bitch. Clear enough for you?" Sam replied firmly, refusing to back down.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
"YOU!" Jessica's face twisted with rage, her hand moving instinctively toward the wand at her hip.
Before things could escalate further, the System's voice cut through the tense atmosphere, startling everyone into frozen silence.

As Sam read through the information, the whole forest suddenly shake slightly, causing some birds to fly away.
Jason snapped out of his daze, remembering the escalating conflict just before the System intervened. He quickly positioned himself between Jessica and Sam.
"Alright guys, relax. No need to kill each other over this," Jason said, his voice strained with an attempt to diffuse the tension.
"I'm not reaching for my sword, don't worry," Sam replied casually.
"Just admit it, you're a coward, a loser. One move from me and I could end you," Jessica sneered, a smirk playing on her lips.
Jason felt panic rising again as he struggled to calm the situation. Meanwhile, Sam ignored Jessica, his face betraying no emotion as he continued leaning against the tree.
'...Sigh, I would love to get rid of her right now but there's no significant benefits in doing that.'
Sam had no interest to incite discord and prolonged unnecessary fight since it's just a waste of time and time is worth more than gold in survival scenario. There's some missing elements needed to survive in this scenario such as water, food, and shelter. The question is should he go alone or go with this group?
"Jason, if we want to survive for a long time we need to locate water, food, and we need to find shelter and not out in the open like this. So what do you say, you're in?"
"I don't know man I can't abandoned the group, this forest is too dangerous, especially the fewer the group member is. But what I agree in what you said, what do you guys think?" Jason ask, glance nervously around at the group.
"I-i agree with Sam, we need to find shelter for protection" Rebecca said sheepishly.
Robert and Jessica glance at each other for a bit then Robert let out a small grin on his face.
"Sure I agree with your idea but since when we agreed to let you get in to our group?" Robert said and not so subtly nodding at Jessica.
'you gotta be shitting me. Even in this dire situation he's stirring the pot of shit?'
"You can't talk to Sam like that! He's our friend, for God's sake! Why are you acting like this, Robert?" Jason demanded, a hint of anger creeping into his voice.
"Why are we being like this? No, why are YOU being like this? He's gonna be a dead weight to our group, I mean sure he can be our meat shield but I don't believe he can do it" Robert replied back to Jason instantly.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY ROBERT?!" Jason roared, clearly enraged by Robert's insult. Before he could lunge at Robert, Sam intervened, placing a calming hand on Jason's shoulder.
"It's okay Jason, relax. It is what it is" Sam said calmly, his voice steady despite the tension.
"Relax? RELAX?! that piece of shit is saying you to become a meat shield-"
"Alright, easy now, Jason. We've all known Robert's a piece of shit since our days at FlipDeBurg. Now that he's got a little power, he doesn't care about consequences. Not surprising," Sam interjected, yawning nonchalantly. His eyes, however, briefly betrayed a flicker of simmering anger.
Ever since he's working at "FlipDeBurg" he's been known as someone who dislike conflict and usually walk away from it whenever whatever bullshit happened. Though sometimes, he can became a bit unhinged if someone keeps pushing his buttons too many times, just like now.
"Sigh.. I don't really want to continue this drama in the middle of the forest of death. So, we'll go our separate way. May the twilight blessing be with you, good night and good luck"
With that, Sam turned and walked briskly into the dense forest. Rebecca and Jason wanted to stop him, but Jessica and Robert's hostile stares kept them frozen in place. Any attempt to intervene would likely result in a beating from the duo.
'Damn it! If I know this would happen I'll choose the Caster class. There's now way for me to win against Robert and Jessica right now. Please be alive the next time we meet my friend, and I'm sorry' Jason thought, feeling guilty because he's indirectly sending his friend to the jaw of death alone in this strange World, due to this his mind all over the place at the moment.
Meanwhile Sam on another place:
'Damn I sounds so cool saying that last line. I want to try it at least once in my life and glad that I use this chance to do it haha'
Sam not being bothered much about the fact that he's still in an unknown world full danger, is giggling like a kid in a candy shop.
"Alright enough messing around" Sam abruptly stopped his giggles.
Sam use his brain power to come up with some plan. As he said earlier in the group, in order to survive one needs water, food, and shelter, even though it's logical to find shelter for protection Sam think otherwise. Food and shelter can be handled anytime since Sam current objective is to hunt because hunting can provide both exp and possibly food, thus leaving water to be his next priority after hunting.
Taking a deep breath, Sam gritted his teeth and hold a firm grasp on his sword. Though a bit nervous since many unknown danger lurking around, deep down he's feeling excited at the challenge in front of him.
