“Greetings, students and fellow trainers, educators, and esteemed guests,

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m principal Fireheart, master trainer extraordinaire and I welcome you all to the Pokemon Battle Academy, where we take learning and battling to the next level! As your principal and a fellow Pokemon enthusiast, I am thrilled to be standing before you today to kick off a new academic year of adventure, growth, and fun.

Let me begin by wishing a warm welcome to our returning students, who I know will continue to amaze us with their skills and passion for battling. Also, welcome to our new students! You're in for a wild ride, and I guarantee you will love every minute of it.

Our school is not just about academics, we are committed to develop a community of trainers who share a passion, their love of Pokemon and battles. We hope you make lifelong friends, to learn from each other and grow together, even engaging in friendly rivalries that push us to greater heights.

Now, I want you to remember that our faculty includes some of the greatest trainers in the world, who are here to teach you everything you need to know to become a good trainer. They have years of experience, skill, and expertise that they are eager to share with you. And if there's anyone who knows what it takes to be a great trainer, it's me! Just ask my Blastoise, he'll tell you all about it.

As we begin this new academic year, I want you all to keep one thing in mind: have fun! Sure, you're here to learn and grow as trainers, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy this journey. So, take advantage of all the resources and facilities our academy has to offer, from the cutting-edge training equipment to the vast library of Pokemon knowledge. And remember, it's not about winning or losing, it's about the experiences we have, the challenges we overcome, and the bonds we form with our Pokemon and each other.

I know some of you may be nervous about starting their path as trainers. But let me tell you, there's nothing to fear! Our academy is a welcoming and supportive environment for you all to be yourselves and pursue your dreams. And if you ever need someone to talk to or just want to chat about Pokemon, don't hesitate to come to me. I'm always happy to lend an ear or a high-five, depending on the occasion.

With that said, let's get this academic year started! I can't wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish and the friendships you will forge along the way.

Standing next to other first year students I watch as everyone claps for principal Fireheart after finishing his speech. I clap along, he is a recognized trainer all around the world and worthy of respect and admiration from any aspiring trainer.

My name is Gabriel and my dream is to become a Pokemon master, I tell myself as the realization of being here finally reaches my brain. This is the first step for me to accomplish my goal, I’m in THE Pokemon Battle Academy, largely accepted as one of the top 3 trainer schools in the world.

I will have to do my best in the next three years, even if being here almost guarantees your success as a professional trainer, only the best can ever become true elites. As far as I know, the school has only one graduate who became the champion of her region, and a select few who have managed to join the elite 4.

Then I look around and see all the twelve years old next to me, a hundred young trainers are accepted each season by the academy. I don’t know anyone here, it’s very hard for students from the same city to join the academy, much less for two trainers from a small village in the middle of nowhere. As the principal said, they are possible friends, but most likely, rivals.

This is a very competitive world, and I will become the best student of my generation, as the first ranked is guaranteed a spot to join the Rookie conference of their region without having to gather eight gym badges.
