A seven AM alarm, from my watch, beeped me awake. I was going somewhere new today, and didn't know how I should dress, I decided to put on a pair of insulated jeans, something called a T-Shirt bra. I assumed it was supposed to be worn with T-shirts, so that was an easy choice, I made both T-Shirt things olive drab green. For some reason the bra went from plain to having a lace pattern on it, and a tiny black bow where the cups joined together. Why? I don't know, I'm the only one who will ever see it.
A black hoodie went on over everything, and I wore some olive drab green toe socks, with white and black shoes that didn't look like they had a brand name.
I thought of a new place, and willed myself to move.
I couldn't breathe. My outfit window shifted to red, and the word emergency appeared around it. I wasn't able to hear anything. And my body felt like it was tearing itself apart, and trying to repair itself.
I felt a heavy weight on me, glass in front of me, and then I was able to breathe. Slowly my hearing came back, but all I could hear was my own breathing. My outfit window was still red, and I was wearing what it called the emergency spacesuit. It said I was unable to change any outfit parameters until I left the emergency related area.
I did notice it took my hoodie off to put this suit on. Being in this suit makes me glad I didn't put on jewelry this morning.
I closed the Outfit Window, began looking around and found a button pad next to the door. Upon approaching it a small light show appears inside the suit, and displays a cord from the suit connecting to this spot.
I follow the instructions, and a red light turns yellow. The door in front of me slides at an angle, the door had two panels on my side, and two on the outside, the four panels closed back once I was through.
I found a sign listing things like sanitation, water supply, cafeteria, artificial gravity, engineering, life support, each with a colored arrow next to them. I touched the life support arrow, and green lights appeared in the floor, flashing in sequence, showing which direction I need to go.
Pulling myself on along on the handrails, it took a few minutes to traverse the hallways to life support.
I had to use the suit wire to open the door, and pulled myself through. This room seemed to be well protected, and the only space in here was just enough for one person to operate a single terminal.
'Life support offline.' Scrolled from the top to the bottom of the screen. I touched the keypad, and the suit gave me another light show, showing me plugging the suit wire in the third hole across the top.
The screen shifted to yellow, and displayed stored levels of liquid gasses. The screen shifted to black, displaying 'life support nominal' with a display of bar graphs for stored gasses.
I left the small room deciding to go to engineering next. Hoping it would be just as easy. I took out the suit wire, attempted to get through the door, and the suit's light show displayed a series of icons.

My best guess is some kind of a breech, I'll need to come back here. I began going to each room marked on the signs, sometimes taking as much as an hour by the structure's clocks to get from place to place, with no view to the outside, I can't actually judge how long I've been here according to home.
On my way back to engineering, after eight hours, I pass a room none of the signs had arrows to go to, the door's label reading 'maintenance and maintenance control.' I open the door with the suit wire again, pulling myself into the room. Although artificial gravity is on, it said insufficient power to sustain, bridge-only activation.
I plug into the monitor here, and the screen turns yellow like the rest had, flashed a massage about repair nitrites being released. Then shifted to black as the other screens had. The outfit window appeared without a prompt, with a message in front of it.
'Emergency mitigated, Outfit function restored, please select to store emergency suit to begin repair, washing, recharging, and replenishment of emergency equipment.' There were two buttons, 'close' and 'store' I selected store, and found myself wearing only my green small clothes, T-Shirt, and knee high toe socks. The Christmas themed manicure had a few chips in it, so I fixed that, applied some pants, shoes, and a light jacket. I felt myself sinking toward what I assumed was the floor, so used a grab handle to put my feet down.
I walked back to the bridge, feeling almost normal by the time I got there. A large panoramic view showed me the sun, and the split in time. One day here, would be approximately four hours back home.
I had thought this was a space station, however, what I see here is a ship. What I thought were screens to direct local traffic was actually navigation.
I hear a series of beeps from the captain's chair, checking to see what it was, a series of icons appear on the armrest mimicking the light show of my emergency suit. I follow the icons, opening the armrest, pull out a tiny device, and swallow it.
The lights on the bridge turn off for a second, then come back on.
"Thank you for your purchase of a Mercury Class Freight transport from Leonidas Shipyards. Please state new owners name, followed by its spelling.
"Sierra Marie Korvall." I then spell it.
"State then spell the name of this vessel's company.
"Korvall Logistics." I then spell that as well.
"Please state the name of this vessel, followed by its spelling."
"Persephone."
"Engaging ship's AI assistant, this ends the ship initialization protocol, these files will now be purged."
Well. That happened.
"Dame Korvall, please sit in the captain's chair to record bio-metrics."
"Dame?" I ask, as I sit.
"Only a knight may pass this ship's initialization protocols. As you are female, decorum states you are to be addressed as Dame instead of Knight, or sir."
"Where are we?"
"Astrogation patterns show we are at Leonidas Shipyards prototype facility, however drift charts indicate five hundred twelve cycles have passed since this vessel was constructed. I believe we were scrapped."
"Is it possible to plot a route to an inhabited planet, or station?"
"Aye, Aye, Dame. Downloading current astrogation beacons. Nearest trade hub is four hours at our most efficient speed, an hour at our fastest."
"Can gold, silver or platinum be traded there."
The AI then gave me the current prices of those metals, and after a back and forth, Tungsten, and platinum would get the most per ounce, and I would need quite a bit in order to pay for docking, refueling, and restocking fees.
I go through the outfit window's jewelry and find the heaviest pieces that don't have gemstones, and a new button appears from green smoke.
'Custom'
"Thanks Patty." I smile.
An ingot necklace it is. Three cargo holds are filled before I realize it, and I get hungry.
I check the cafeteria, nothing. The kitchens, also nothing. This vessel has no food on board.
"Persephone, activate course at the most fuel efficient speed."
"Aye, Aye, Dame. En route."
