----------Ivy (8 years old)----------
[Mom] “Hey Ivy~”
[Me] “Yes Mom?”
[Mom] “We finally got a letter from your grandparents!”
[Me] “…my grandparents?”
[Mom] “Yep!”
[Dad] “After some tries over the years we finally told them the good news!”
[Me] “Good news… you wouldn’t have went and told them THAT… would you?”
[Dad] “Don’t worry, they’re family! They (probably) didn’t tell anyone else”
As soon as he said that I choked on the piece of pie that I was eating. As I was struggling for air my brother, James, asked the big question.
[James] “What does the letter say?”
*Bum-bump* *Bum-bump*
Both James and my hearts were pounding vigorously as we awaited their response.
[Dad] “They said…”
*Bum-bump*
[Mom] “That their coming over! Isn’t that just wonderful news?”
I’m glad that there is no more food in my mouth, because if there was it would be spewed all over the place. Looking over at James I see his mouth wide open as well.
When James finally graduated from magic school he was offered a place at the palace. At first that stupid brother of mine was going to reject the offer, but with a little prodding he accepted. On a side note, ever since that day when he found out I was a Royal Devil he became a siscon. He also has helped the Church of Ivy develop, even after I begged and pleaded with him to stop. He now visits home as often as he can in order to help the church and see his sister.
[Me] “When are they coming over?”
[Mom] “One week from now!”
[Me] “…”
[James] “That’s good. I will be able to be here still when they come in order to help Ivy.”
Ignoring James, I sit in shock and eat some more of my pie. I have one week before I meet the people who raised my parents. Considering my parent’s personalities, one could only guess the personality of my grandparents. I must have all the strength I can muster! Open status!

Three years of training and this is where I sit. It’s not as if I went through tough training, all I did was your everyday regular training… I’m too OP.
[Me] “…Mom, may I go out training?”
[Mom] “Not tonight.”
[Me] “Alright…”
I guess I’ll have to wait for tomorrow…
(Next morning)
[James] “Ivy~ Wake up~”
[Me] “Mnn… already?”
[James] “Yep, you said that you wanted to start training.”
[Me] “Oh yeah…”
[James] “Why are you so serious about training today anyway?”
[Me] “Our grandparents are coming.”
[James] “…and you want to impress them?”
[Me] “No, I want to survive them.”
[James] “?”
[Me] “Don’t worry about it.”
I push the speechless James out of my room and close the door. I get dressed and open the door once more to a recovered James. He them gives me a muffin and my sword. Why he’s serving me, I do not know, but meh… its food. You can’t turn away food.
I quickly eat the muffin and take my sword from my brother. I rush out the door and head into a clearing deep into the woods behind the house. I made this clearing while I was training a few years back, and have been using it ever since.
[Me] “Beings of Misfortune!”
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

Ten creatures came into existence and saluted me. Hmm… maybe a little more is necessary.

Now I had 100 beings of misfortune in front of me awaiting orders. It’s a little creepy how I can just summon so many and my mana regen fixes it right up. Just goes to show how OP I am.
I then instruct the many minions of mine to attack me all at once. Why do this instead of finding local demonic beasts? Simple: look at my level. It’s not like I live in a dangerous place; most demonic beasts here are low level.
I fight against all of them with my sword alone, and continue to do so all day. The only breaks I take is for food and restroom breaks. This continues for an entire week before we get the much anticipated visitors.
I nervously check my status before Mom opens the door. Open status.

I breathe in a large breath and watch as the door seemingly craws open at the pace of a snail. What’s behind the door is… four neatly dressed people. They all looked to be in their middle ages and had neatly groomed hair. Looking at them first glance, you would think they were important officials. Not at all what I had in mind. Maybe the training wasn’t necessary…
----------Carla’s POV----------
*Knock* *knock*
Oh, it seems as if my parents have arrived! My husbands are supposed to arrive as well. I open the door and there they are. I hug my mother and look over at Ivy. She seems to be looking at our four visitors respectfully. Fufufu… she better be careful, the worst ones are the ones that look different than their personalities.
----------Palace Maid’s POV----------
[Maid 1] “Hey, have you heard?”
[Me] “No, what happened?”
[Maid 1] “Apparently, although both Prince Ryan and Princess Belle have gotten such good looking neither of them are interested in possible marage!”
[Me] “What?!”
[Maid 1] “Astonishing right?!”
[Maid 2] “It’s rumored that Princess Belle had joined a new upcoming church and doesn’t have time for romance…”
[Maid 1] “Oh my!”
[Me] “What church is this exactly?”
[Maid 2] “I think it was the Church of Misfortune… or something like that.”
[Me] “To think it would be about misfortune… such a thing!”
[Maid 1] “Still, Prince Ryan is still a mystery…”
[Maid 2] “Both him and his teddy bear…”
[Me] “Indeed…”
