Book Two: Chapter 14

“What did you mean?” Labda exclaimed, cracking her voice.

"You dare stand against us too?" Katina shouted.

"We stand for Acrisius!" Alecto, one of the furies, exclaimed. "He is a better god than Hades!"

Labda shook her head. "Impossible! You are supposed to be loyal to Hades!"

"Sorry….. But Acrisius has control over us now,” said Alecto’s sister, Megaera. “We cannot….. Resist him…..”

Cilla widened her eyes. “What? How-”

“Silence! Prepare to meet your judgment!” Tisiphone screamed and flew up with her Fury sisters.

While flying in circles above the Cerberus, they shot black iron chains down, which wrapped around Labda’s arms and legs. She couldn’t move!

While two Furies held the chains, the third Fury dived and scratched Labda’s chest. Katina, Cilla, and Labda screamed as the scratch burned on their flesh.

Tisiphone licked the blood off her claws. “Mmmmmmmh. We should play with them before sending them to oblivion.”

Alecto giggled. “Just like how we torment the punished!”

Labda hissed as the chains glowed red, burning her limbs. She allowed Katina to pull the chains down, but the Furies yanked back.

They were stronger than the Cerberus because they were god-like beings, born from the blood of Uranus. If Katina couldn’t fight back, there won’t be a chance for them to overthrow the tyrant.

Tisiphone approached the Cerberus and grabbed Labda's neck. Her claws slightly pierced the Cerberus's skin. "You better hold your breath, doggy. Because this will be slow and painful."

"Leave them alone!" Roger charged toward Tisiphone, raising his sword.

"Roger! No!" Cilla cried.

The Fury released Labda and flew toward the human. "You think you can defeat us, mortal?"

Just as he got close, Roger swung his sword, but Tisiphone vanished. She flashed into appearance behind him and kicked him off his feet.

After Roger hit the ground, Tisiphone placed her metal talon foot on his chest.

"Who in the Hades are you?" The Fury demanded.

Cilla growled. "He is our boyfriend!"

Everyone froze, widening their eyes at Cilla. Their mouths spread open as cold air left their throats.

"Boyfriend?" Tisiphone asked, shaking in her voice.

Cilla nodded.

"Are you f**king kidding me?" Katina shouted past Labda's face.

Labda glared at Cilla. “You are being ridiculous, Cilla!”

The third head narrowed her eyes as tears dripped across her red cheeks. “I know how I feel! And I won’t hold it in, forever!”

Labda figured Cilla developed an intimacy for Roger, but shouting it out will only endanger his life. Cilla, you simpleton!

Tisiphone looked down at Roger. “Is that true?”

Roger gulped. “Well….. Kind of.”

Tisiphone and her sisters laughed. “Good!” She glanced at Alecto and Megaera. “Hold them down!”

Her sisters nodded with grins and flew down, landing on the Cerberus’s back, pushing them down. Labda struggled while the Furies kept her body on the ground.

Tisiphone stretched out her claws and raised them over Roger’s face. “They will watch me cut their boyfriend into pieces. Hehehehehe!"

“Noooooooooo!” Cilla cried, struggling to reach Roger.

But it was still useless. With chains holding their limbs, and the two Furies keeping them on the ground, Labda and her companions couldn’t do anything. Roger was going to die and probably join his fallen warriors in the River of Styx.

Tisiphone lifted her claws up higher, ready to strike down Roger.

“Stop!” a deep voice shouted.

Tisiphone paused, widening her eyes. She turned toward the stairway where a tall red-figure strolled down.

The creature came closer and closer until Labda recognized him. Acrisius…..
