A stunning metropolis with tall skyscrapers and busy streets, New Olympus City climbed high into the sky. Many mythical races were seen going about their daily lives as Roger and his female three-headed dog partner, Katina, Labda, and Cilla, patrolled the city streets. There were harpies soaring overhead, creating long shadows over the masses below, as centaurs trotted through the streets, their equine bodies gleaming in the bright sunlight.
The city was filled with magic, and they could see it everywhere they turned. Street corners were illuminated by light spheres that floated above them, and the sidewalks themselves were marked with shimmering runes. Strange sounds were coming from the distance, and the air was scented with foreign spices.
Roger and his companion came across a band of satyrs performing on a street corner as they made their way through the congested streets. The sentient creatures, which had a human body and goat-like legs, played their instruments wildly, drawing a gathering of interested observers.
They passed a group of gorgons further down the street as they chatted among themselves, their snake-like hair twisting and hissing. The gorgons had the power to turn anyone into stone with a single glance, but they wore sunglasses to restrict their stare.
Observing a disturbance close to one of the city's numerous temples, Roger and his partner continued their patrol. The cyclopes were making a scene, their huge forms towering over the people. They were prepared for anything as Roger and his partner approached them warily.
Roger put his hand on the holster of his gun and said, "Excuse me, fellas. Is something wrong here?”
The solitary eyes of the cyclopes narrowed as they turned to face him. One of them growled, "No problem, officer. Simply having some fun.”
Roger gave them a wary look but decided to ignore them for the time being. "Okay, but would you please tone it down?"
The cyclopes muttered their approval, and Roger and his girlfriend carried on. In New Olympus City, it was just another day, and everyone was prepared for anything.
Roger muttered, "You know, I still can't believe most monsters respect us. Particularly the large ones.”
Katina snickered. "Perhaps they are afraid of us, Cerberus. After all, we have previously kept them in the Underworld for a long time.”
Roger shrugged and pondered how his entire reality had transformed into an odd urban fantasy.
The gods of ancient Greece suddenly returned to Earth after a long absence, bringing with them their mythological abilities and legendary creatures. When they came back, the turmoil that had ruled the planet for so long was brought under control. However, many of the creatures of the ancient world had escaped into the world above because not all of them had been content to stay in the Underworld.

The monsters that had emerged from the Underworld had destroyed much of North America. Numerous cities were destroyed, and many people perished. The gods decided to found New Olympus City after realizing that North America needed a new political hub.
The city was constructed atop the remains of the ancient metropolis with the intention of serving as a symbol of civilization and hope for the people of North America. The gods set about building the city in a great effort because they wanted it to be a secure haven for all races, both mortal and legendary.
The gods themselves contributed to the construction of the city by using their abilities to erect enormous, exquisitely designed structures. Additionally, they brought with them a number of magical tools and innovations that improved the efficiency of the city.
Each area in the city was created to address the particular requirements of the several races that called it home. The majority of the mortal people lived in the Human District, which was the largest. Despite being smaller, the districts for the legendary races were just as significant.
The centaur district was planned with their desire for broad, open spaces in mind, and it included numerous sizable parks and green areas. The entire mermaid neighborhood was constructed underwater, and a network of underwater tunnels connected it to the rest of the city.
Additionally, the gods had made sure that the city was well-defended. To shield the city against potential attacks, they had installed strong magical wards around its borders and stationed strong guardians all around it.
Despite the difficulties involved in creating a city from scratch, New Olympus City was a huge success. It swiftly developed into a center for trade and business, drawing traders and merchants from all over the world. Scholars and artists flocked to the city's halls and galleries, and it also rose to prominence as a hub of study and culture.
After five years, New Olympus City still remains as evidence of the strength of the gods and the tenacity of North American citizens. It is a great example of what mortal and legendary entities may achieve when they cooperate for a shared objective.
Roger and his Cerberus girlfriend relocated to New Olympus City since it was a good place for monsters to dwell in comfort. However, no life was good without money, and the New Olympus City Police Department needed stronger officers to keep the city safe. Since joining the force, Roger, Katina, Cilla, and Labda have been on street patrol. Even though it was occasionally dull, they could at least afford a respectable apartment.
Roger awoke from his daydream and focused once more on his work. Even so, it seemed like the world had altered only yesterday.
They noticed several raucous adolescents damaging a business as they rounded a corner. Roger readied his firearm as the three heads of Katina, Labda, and Cilla swiveled in their direction.
“Hey there, you!” He shouted, "Freeze!" and sprinted toward the group.
The teenagers dispersed like cockroaches, but Roger and his partner were fast to catch them. This was the reason Roger had applied to be a guardian in the first place, and as they carried the miscreants away, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction.

When Roger and Katina, Labda, and Cilla arrived at the city's main square, they overheard an argument between two groups of residents. A group of merpeople claimed that a bunch of centaurs had stolen their priceless pearl necklace.
Roger exhaled. Whether it was a minor theft or a major magical conflict, there was always something going on in New Olympus City. He was there to maintain order, along with his girlfriend, and they wouldn't stop until justice was done.
He walked up to the groups and said, "Okay, let's see what's going on here."
The centaurs' presence made them tense, and they stamped their hooves on the marble floor. One of them snapped, "We didn't steal anything!"
“They're only attempting to frame us,” said a centaur woman.
The merfolk, in response, gave a disapproving tongue click. "Lies! One of your species was seen swimming off with our jewelry.”
Roger listened intently to either side of the discussion while keeping a close eye out for any unusual behavior. Out of the corner of his vision, he suddenly noticed a figure scurrying away from the action.
“You there!” He charged after the fleeing culprit while yelling "Stop!"
Following closely behind, Katina, Labda, and Cilla scanned the area for the offender as their heads snapped back and forth. Roger quickly tackled him to the ground after they had surrounded him in an adjacent alleyway.
The perpetrator was revealed to be a leprechaun wearing a green trench coat. Those pesky little Irish fairy men loved to steal peoples' possessions, usually pricey ones.
He couldn't help but feel a sense of victory when he handcuffed the guy. He was here, together with the three-headed dog woman, to defend the people of New Olympus City from harm.
"Nice work," muttered Katina, Labda, and Cilla, their three tongues hanging out in unison.
A sense of contentment washed through Roger as he grinned. Who knew what additional adventures the night would hold because this was merely the start of their patrol?
