Chapter 544

Chapter 544:

With Kylo’s stance uncertain, Amor knew she had to tread carefully.

The consequences of being caught cheating in Muisvedo were dire unless she could placate Allison. So she chose her words with precision. “Gold, jewels, influence, power, even a man — name your price. I’ll make sure you receive it in exchange for overlooking this game.”

Amor was offering everything within her power, the pinnacle of temptation. Anyone would be tempted. After all, her foreign enterprises were highly lucrative.

Allison, however, merely smiled, the expression deceptively sweet.

“Don’t worry, my request isn’t unreasonable, and you can certainly meet it.”

Her smile vanished, replaced by a cold resolve.

“Miss Prescott, as per our contract, I demand your fingers.”

The room fell into stunned silence, the kind where even the slightest sound would echo.

Nobody had anticipated this move. That an orphan with no allies or powerful connections would not only refuse Amor’s grand offer but also demand such a price was almost unfathomable.

“You!” Amor’s face contorted with rage, the veins at her temples visibly pulsing.noveldrama

Seeing that Allison was serious and wouldn’t relent, Amor realized that any further bargaining attempts would only deepen her humiliation. Desperate, she turned to Kylo, her last hope.

In Muisvedo, Allison would ultimately need Kylo’s backing.

Amor swallowed her frustration and tried one last time. “Kylo, as I’ve explained, the benefits between us are substantial. Are you really going to risk all that for the sake of this one bet…?”

But before she could finish, Kylo cut her off without hesitation.

“Amor, you understand my limits, don’t you? I have no patience whatsoever for cheating.”

Kylo sat across from her, one leg casually crossed over the other, his face a mask of indifference as he regarded her with an unforgiving, icy stare.

“Do it right now,” he ordered Andres.

“Understood.”

Amor’s eyes widened, momentarily frozen in disbelief.

Andres had already approached, flanked by several men.

“Miss Prescott, forgive me.”

Amor shot him a furious look as Andres pressed a gun firmly against her temple, and others immediately pinned her hands against the table.

“Let go of me! Are you all just begging for trouble?” Amor screamed.

She fought back with every ounce of her strength, but against Andres, she was overpowered.

Holding her down, Andres cast a quick glance toward Allison.
