Chapter 543:
Amor’s glare shifted to Allison, filled with barely contained rage. “But now, are you really going to cast aside our partnership for the infamous Scarlet Snake? You’re known for your sharp judgment, Kylo. Surely, you understand who has the greater value here.”
Allison smirked, a scoff slipping past her lips. “Oh, Miss Amor, are you implying that you’d rather break our contract?” She clapped her hands slowly, each slap echoing in the room with mocking finality. “First, you tried to grab my house. Then, you cheated at the gambling table, and now you’re hinting at breaking our agreement.”
Allison looked around at the gathering crowd. “It seems that the secret to getting rich is having no shame,” she added with biting sarcasm.
A few nods and mutters of agreement came from the onlookers. “Cheating in an underground casino? That’s absolutely disgraceful.”noveldrama
“Unbelievable. I lost my bet, but this time, I stand with Scarlet Snake.”
“Same here! I never pegged Amor as someone who’d stoop this low.”
“Come to think of it, how has she never lost all these years? Maybe there’s been something shady going on at her foreign casinos all along.”
The murmurs were a stinging rebuke, and Amor’s expression darkened.

Ordinarily, she would’ve silenced these insolent voices, but now she had no choice but to endure.
“Scarlet Snake,” Amor began, trying to rein in her temper, “if you’re willing to let this go, I’ll compensate you. The entire pile of chips on the floor, it’s yours. Plus, I’ll offer you shares in my foreign ventures and cover your expenses in Muisvedo from now on.”
Melany’s eyes widened in shock.
That mountain of chips was worth hundreds of millions! Earlier, Amor had pressured her to continue gambling until she was liable for almost a quarter of it. Just imagining the colossal debt made Melany’s head spin with dread.
Earlier, when Amor pushed Melany to keep playing, the mounting stakes left Melany burdened with a debt totaling nearly a quarter of the winnings.
Even if Amor didn’t renege on their agreement, there was no conceivable way Melany could produce 100 million.
The mere thought sent waves of dizziness through her, leaving her feeling faint.
Yet Allison remained unfazed by Amor’s desperate offers.
With an air of superiority, she looked down at her adversary.
“Amor, this money was already mine for the taking. Offering it as a bribe is meaningless,” she remarked, her voice as casual as if discussing the weather.
Her gaze flickered dismissively. “And those shares in your foreign ventures and the coverage of my expenses in Muisvedo? They might well yield a lot of money in returns, but I’m not interested.”
Amor’s fury simmered beneath the surface, her urge to lash out palpable. Yet, needing Allison’s cooperation, she forced herself to stay composed. “Then what do you want? As long as your request isn’t unreasonable, I’m prepared to agree,” she asked, attempting to keep her voice even.
