Matthew hummed in reply, indicating a positive response. As such, Felix became a little shocked.

"How did you take it?"

Matthew smiled and said, "I used my hands to take it, obviously."

After he had murdered someone, Matthew wanted to chat with Felix to relax and forget about the things he had just done. When Felix saw how effortlessly Matthew responded, he felt a little confused. "Didn't they try to stop you from taking it?" He was speaking from experience since he had been aggressively tackled by the two earlier.

Upon hearing that, Matthew smiled. "They didn't!"

But Felix frowned as he said, "That's impossible! There's no way they wouldn't stop you from taking it!"

Then, Matthew chuckled, "Have you ever seen a corpse trying to stop someone else?"

A corpse? A wave of shock came crashing down on Felix as he stared at Matthew. Murder... Matthew actually murdered them!

At last, a hint of worry surfaced upon Felix's face. "You... You might have killed an Eastorian and a traitor, but what would happen to you if the police were to investigate?"

However, Matthew simply smiled and said, "Trevor, the one who came with us, is a policeman, and he's dealing with the aftermath. So, we won't have to bear any responsibilities." Matthew didn't want Felix to ask him for any more details, so he simply pulled Trevor out to be his shield.

Once Felix learned that Matthew wouldn't be facing any sort of consequences, he was finally rest-assured and relaxed.

For a moment, the car was filled with silence, but that peace quickly disappeared when Felix thought of Seth and Maurice.

He suddenly cursed aloud, "Serves you right! They should be dead!"

Felix didn't feel very appeased after he finished speaking, so he continued to curse them.

"Greedy ass bastards! Fuck! Serves you right for dying! Worthless scoundrels! How dare they cheat and attack me two-on-one! Otherwise, I wouldn't have been

beaten into a pulp!

"That Seth bastard! How dare he collude with an Eastorian! I'll end him! Worthless scoundrels! How dare they go crazy here! I'll kill him!"

For the rest of the journey, Felix cursed Seth and Maurice, and he never once repeated the same insults. It was only when they arrived at the junk yard that he stopped. After a moment of thought, Matthew said, "Opulent Club. There'll be someone to collect the books."

Renae came up to Matthew and asked from a distance, "How did it go? Did you take the medical literature back?" Matthew smiled and said, "I've got it."

Upon hearing that, Sandra, who was right next to Renae, walked toward Matthew and reached out her hand. "This medical literature belongs to my family. Now that you've found it, you should return it to me!

Sandra knew that the medical literature was priceless, so she kept thinking about it.

Oh? Matthew never thought that Sandra would want the medical literature. "This medical literature isn't yours!"

Sandra's voice rose an octave as she said, "I sold this medical literature to the junk collector. Now that it's back, you should give it to me! It's called restitution!"

Upon seeing that, Renae anxiously

tried to stop her. "Mom, don't do this,

alright? If it weren't for Matthew, we

wouldn't even be able to retrieve this medical literature!"

Sandra swept a glance over at her. "Shut up. How could you speak for an outsider when I was the one who raised you?"

Renae was so frustrated that she wanted to cry. Sandra was being way too unreasonable.

When Sandra saw that Renae had stopped talking, she looked back at Matthew to demand the medical literature.

"You like my daughter, don't you? I'll let you marry her if you give me the medical literature!"
