As the sun drifts over the island world of Cristin, the Demu go about their devilish plot. After years of planning and a steady attempt at possession, they have finally broken through the barrier that the Key's protector had created, allowing a Demu possessor to take control of her. After which, the Key's protector stole the Key, kidnapping her and bringing her to this isolated island world.
After the Key's possessed protector brought the Key to the island world and arrived at the fort on the other side of the island from where she had arrived, the Demu had begun working hard to subdue the Key, using a sedative that they had prepared within their base. After about two hours of fighting with her, they have finally been able to hold her down and administer the drug into her bloodstream, putting her in a semi-conscious state and rendering her numb and unresponsive.
Now the Key's protector is preparing to move onto the next series of portals that will lead back to Planet Demu, where in which she will go through the hell portal and bring the Key to the netherworld, where she will face an unfair trial and be executed for bringing hope to the universe.
But hope is not lost, as the Key's newly formed battalion is close on the heels of the Key's protector, who are now preparing a split-second formulated assault on the fort. If anyone knows how important the Key is, it is the Key's newly appointed super-powered protector, the Guardian Raphael Horizon Danteo.
As hundreds of Demu watcher's run across the treetops of the forest surrounding the fort, the ground suddenly shakes, with the trees shaking even more. At the top of the cliff looking over the fort, a figure can be seen making hand gestures and doing a magical dance.
Suddenly, all of the trees surrounding the fort are ripped out of the ground and sent flying into the ocean, sending most of the Demu watcher's out with them.
As the trees are sent flying, a total of thirty-three other figures can be seen rushing down the sloops of the cliff, sprinting as fast as they can to face off against the remaining watchers.
The few remaining watchers send out a distress signal, telling the occupants of the fort that the JB is here. Within moments, Demu soldiers, armed with demonic assault rifles, come rushing out of the fort, firing randomly into the cliff side in hopes of scoring a killing wound.
As the battle rages below the cliff, a figure can be seen flying to the side of the fort, near the ocean. That person is Raphael Danteo, using his new power of flight to outwit the Demu and get to June faster than all the others.
He flies to the back of the fort and examines the area, trying to find the best point of entry. Upon further inspection, he finds a line of windows at the back of the fort on the second floor. Using the energy he has, he launches himself head first toward the window line with his two 1270's ready in front of him. He fires five shells in quick succession into the window line in front of him from both of his pistols, effectively shattering the glass.
He flips in the air as he comes closer to the fort, landing on his hands and knees as he enters. Raphael immediately launches to his feet after landing in the room and shoots down two Demu, both of them to his left and right, with a single shot from both of his 1270s.
The rest of the Demu in the room have barely a second of time to react before Raphael pelts them with an assault of lead, killing them in it's fury.
Raphael holds out his pistols in front of him as he examines the rest of the room for Demu, which he finds none of. He clicks the cartridges out of his pistols and reloads his 1270's simultaneously using the their unique, auto-loading mechanism.
He clicks the gauge of both of his pistols as he exits the room in a sprint. Having no information about the layout of the fort he is in, or of where the portal room is, he takes a random guess and runs down the right hallway, shooting his left pistol behind him as he makes the turn. Raphael has a strange feeling to fire behind him as he goes, which is spot-on, since a Demu with a flamethrower was coming out to face him. The shot lands straight in it's head, killing it instantly.
As Raphael sprints down the hallway and makes a left turn, he checks his remaining clips, and sees that he has only one remaining clip for both of his pistols. Not allowing his ammunition problem to bother him, he continues down the hallway.
Suddenly, Raphael feels the urge to stay still. He doesn't know why, he just has a sudden feeling that it's what he should do. He slows down from his speed run and stops in the hallway, focusing himself in a deep trance.
His eyes open, now focused and cold. He then continues down the hallway, but this time going at a slow walk. He passes by a three-way intersection where he is going through the center with a hallway to the right. Three Demu soldier's are advancing through the hallway to investigate the earlier crash from where Raphael had entered the building. Without even looking toward them, Raphael extends his right hand and fires seven shots into the hallway, killing all three of the soldiers before they even realize that he is there. As the last Demu falls, it fires five shells from it's assault rifle in an arc, but none of the shells hit Raphael and land in the surrounding walls.

Raphael continues through the hallways until he turns to see two Demu with metal tower shields and pistols waiting for him at the intersection into the stairwell.
The two Demu fire two shells at him, but Raphael is in such an immense state of concentration that he is able to dodge two of the shells and shoot down the other two shells mid-flight with his own bullets. Before the Demu can fire at him again, Raphael fires his pistol twice as he swings it in an arc.
Both of the bullet's hit the Demu in their trigger fingers, making them drop their guns. Both Demu look away from Raphael to examine their wounded hand, meaning that neither of them are able to see him draw out his longsword.
As soon as the Demu look back up, Raphael chucks his longsword toward them, impaling it in the left Demu, the sword going straight through it's shield and into it's body.
As Raphael throws his sword, he is also sprinting, launching himself into the air as the sword hits it's target. Raphael lands on the Demu's shield and rips his longsword out with such force that he arcs his longsword toward the other Demu, slashing through it's shield and lobbing off it's head.
Both Demu fall in dead heaps with Raphael standing triumphantly over top of them. He swings his longsword behind his back and sheathes it back into it's harness. He let's out a calming breathe as he let's go of his focus, bringing himself back into a more open state of mind.
Drawing out his right pistol, he looks toward the stairwell. “June... I'm coming for you!” he thinks as he walks toward the stairwell door. He opens the door with his pistol leading the way. Once he sees that everything is clear and there are no enemies in sight, he moves into the stairwell and makes his way to the first floor.
The way down to the first floor is uneventful when it comes to a firefight. When Raphael is halfway down to the first floor, he hears an explosion off in the distance. He concludes that it must have been the other squad's breaching into the building and leaves it at that.
Raphael opens the door to the first floor, but slams it shut a second later, with a light machine gun turret blasting rounds through the door frame. It seems to Raphael as if a thousand bullets had already been fired before he can even think of what to do next.
After a while, Raphael begins to believe that the bullets will never stop. When he's about to consider taking an alternative route, he hears footsteps coming from the other side of doorway from down the corresponding hallway.
A minigun is heard being fired moments later over the LMG. A brief firefight occurs a second later, but soon dies down. Once the bullets stop flying, Raphael peaks out of his cover to survey the area. He sees Miyra on the other side of the hallway with her minigun pointed down the hallway, it's barrel's gushing smoke.
“I guess that earlier blast was from the insertion, right, Miyra?”asks Raphael while moving through the doorway and into the hallway. Miyra looks back at him with a serious face. She pulls her minigun close and blows away the smoke before speaking.
“We need to keep moving, Raphael.” she says back to him, grabbing a second line of ammunition from her backpack and attaching it into her minigun. “I'm not sure exactly where the portal room is, though, and I'm pretty sure that you don't either.” Miyra turns her head away from Raphael and thinks to herself for a split second. She turns her head back up to Raphael a moment later with a strategy. “I'll take the five of my soldiers and take this hallway. You can have the other five and should take the middle hallway that we passed earlier. Urt and Quib are taking the right pathway. In between all of us, we should be able to find the portal room.”
“Alright Miyra, I agree with that plan.” Raphael motions with his right hand for five soldiers to follow as he walks down the hallway Miyra came from. Almost immediately, five soldiers out of the group about-face and follow after Raphael.
Miyra moves out of her corner cover moments after Raphael leaves and fires her minigun at two Demu soldiers that were about to get onto the LMG placement. Afterward, she moves forward with the remaining soldiers who covering the front and rear.
Raphael finds the hallway Miyra had specified quite easily. He takes cover near the entrance and holds a hand up to the soldiers to tell them to hold back. He peaks his head out to make sure that the hallway is safe and motions with his hand for the soldiers to move forward a moment later. “Six-three prong formation.” he says before two of the soldiers move ahead of him into the hallway.
After the two soldier's move into the hallway, Raphael files in behind them with both of his pistols at the ready. The remaining soldiers file in behind Raphael in the same formation as him and the other soldiers, but with the soldiers in the back covering the rear.
Further down the hallway, a Hell Knight Demu readies it's greatsword while taking cover behind the corner wall. When Raphael and his squad come closer, the Hell Knight launches out of it's cover with a hefty swing of it's sword, just barely missing the UMA soldiers in the front.
Raphael sees the Hell Knight as soon as it appears and shots two shells out of his pistols at it after it has swung it's sword. The bullets, however, bounce meaninglessly off of it's armor.
The UMA soldiers fall back behind Raphael, seeing that their bullets aren't going to be very effective in taking out the heavily-armored Demu in front of them.
Seeing as the Hell Knight isn't susceptible to his bullets, Raphael throws his pistols to the side and jumps toward the Hell Knight, drawing his longsword out in the process.
Raphael swings his longsword down with incredible force, but the Hell Knight blocks his strike with it's greatsword. It then pushes Raphael away from it with a mighty push.
Raphael catches himself from the push and looks up just in time to see a pink flash fly through the hallway behind the Hell Knight. He recognizes that flash and realizes that Sherah is still in the building, but he also figures that she must be heading to the portal room, which means that he needs to finish off this Hell Knight as fast as he can. With a great yell, Raphael leaps toward the Hell Knight with his sword held high, ready to finish this fight as soon as possible.
