An orange-haired male, around seventeen years old, is inside of Unimori's gym room, hitting a punching bag with cripplingly powerful blows that could easily bring down a larger man. After punching the bag a final time, he let's out a sigh and drops his fists. He looks behind him towards a young freshman who is holding a clipboard in his hands. “Yosin, what else have you learned about the shooting?”
“From what I have uncovered, the adult male was the only one that was shot. The other student that was apparently stabbed has made a full recovery from his injuries. Something doesn't add up, however....” says Yosin, who's mind is fixed on the clipboard he is holding.
“What is it, Yosin?” the teenager says before turning back around to start hitting the punching bag again a second time.
“From what the witnesses have said, along with a single faculty member, the shooter had shot the man from the top of the school's office building. I'm not sure exactly how much of this next part is fabricated, but witnesses said that the shooter leaped down from the top of the building and landed on the ground without a single injury. After which, it is reported that he pulled the knife out of the student and put his hand on the his wound. When he pulled his hand away, the student's wound was completely healed and the student fell asleep in the next moment. Most of that was probably created to idealize the shooter, but there is some proof that the student is no longer injured, even though the incident had occurred only a few days ago.”
The orange-haired teenager stops punching for a second, but leaves his fists up. He thinks deeply for a few moments before speaking. “This is very strange, Yosin, but we shouldn't start jumping to conclusions until we know more. Can you give me the names of the student that was stabbed and any of his close friends? I'm sure that if we get a direct statement from him or from his acquaintances we can start getting to the truth of this incident.”
Yosin gives the orange-haired teenager a polite bow and says “Yes, sir. When would you like me to get to the interviews?”
The orange-haired teenager sets himself into a more agile fighting stance and begins strafing the punching bag while letting out a series of more forceful thrusts along the way. He speaks while strafing the bag “No need to do it yourself, Yosin. I have already given you enough assignments to complete today, so just give me their names and I'll interview them myself.”
“As considerate as always, Sin, I-I mean sir! Their names are Jian Orien, Carie Blain, Boz Zhao, and Lera Fuin.” Yosin says while rubbing the back of his head.
“Hmm,” Sin says, giving the punching bag a few more hits and then sidestepping to the left and hitting it some more. “I remember Carie Blain, I went out with her last year. We came to a mutual agreement and decided to break up, though. I don't remember her talking about any of the others you have spoken of, so I suppose that she become friends with them this year. They're pretty lucky to have her as a friend, she'll stick up for them through thick and thin, if she is still the same person she was last year.”
“Yes, Mr. Kasigara, I'm sure they are very lucky to have her as a friend. Is there anything else that you would like me to do, sir?” Yosin says while sifting through his clipboard, examining multiple charts on it's papers.
“There is one more thing, Yosin. Do you know where these students rooms are at in the dormitories and where they meet up after class? I would like to speak with them personally as soon as possible.” Sin says, lowering his fists and taking the gloves off of his hands.
“I do have the student's rooms, but I unfortunately have no idea where they meet up after the school day ends. Here is a list of their room numbers and a picture of what they look like.” Yosin says before walking a few feet to Sin's side and giving him a few pieces of paper off of the clipboard.
Sin falls silent for about a minute as he flips through the four sheets of paper that Yosin had given him. He then gives Yosin a look and says “You can go for now. Go get lunch or something.”
Yosin bows to Sin and then says “Yes, sir.” before turning and leaving the room out of the training room's front entrance. Sin's eyes follow him the entire way until he leaves out of the exit's two red metal doors and shuts them behind him. After he is gone, Sin lets out a sigh and says “I really hope you don't lie to me, Carie....”

The next day....
After giving it some thought, Sin has decided that his first course of action should be talking to Carie and interviewing her friend's second. He does trust her the most out of this group, after all.
Sin sits in the courtyard of the school on one of the benches. He has left Carie a personal message on her phone, requesting that she come talk to him outside once the school day is over. She didn't respond, but considering the fact that he messaged her in the beginning of homeroom, it isn't that much of a surprise that she hasn't responded.
Sin let's out a sigh as he waits outside, flicking his medium-length hair back behind his head. He crosses one of his legs on top of the other and sits calmly on the bench, hoping that Carie will arrive soon.
After about another minute of waiting, Sin is about to leave when he sees Carie's foreign blonde hair appearing over top of the large number of students around the campus. He doesn't greet her, but instead points his flattened hand towards the seat to his right. Carie gives him a nod and quickly moves to her designated seat.
She flattens her skirt once she has gotten accustomed in her seat and then flicks back her hair. She looks at Sin with a pleasant eye, if not just to keep suspicion away from her and her friends. With a slight smile, she says “So Sin, is there a reason that you want to see me today? If you want to get back together, it is still a no.”
Sin shuts his eyes and tilts his head downward, him trying to get his mind back together, as he had not expected that response. He looks back up and says “No, I didn't call you here for that. I just needed to get a first hand account from you about what happened with a friend of yours, Mr. Jian Orien. Eyewitness accounts don't add up and I figured that getting a statement from one of his friends would probably shed some light on what really happened.”
Carie's demeanor changes as soon as she hears what Sin's true reason is for this meeting. Sin catches the change in her eyes and questions her for it. “Ah, I see I struck a cord here...! Tell me what you know!”
Carie stays quiet for a few seconds, thinking over what she should say to him. She stares into his white eyes, hoping that she can catch some kind of emotion, but nothing appears. Eventually, she speaks. “Sin, I would like to tell you what is going on, but I know almost nothing of it myself. You are seriously asking the wrong person. My friend's know nothing of what is going on either, so please do not bother them.”
Sin stares straight back into Carie's eyes. She didn't give him the answer that he was looking for. He knows that she is holding something back, given that it seems like she's talking about a subject different than what he asked. He gives her a direct response. “Carie, I asked about the shooting in the garden, not whatever you are referring to. Please, just tell me that all of this crap that I'm getting from the other students isn't the truth!” During his last word, he slams his fist down on the bench seat, emphasizing his point.
Carie is taken a back by Sin sudden statement. She jolts her head back from the sudden enthusiasm and her eyes go wide. “My God, Sin, calm down please!” she says in surprise. “You're going to cause a scene...!”
“I don't care if I cause a freaking scene! Just tell me what the fuck is going on!” Sin says, his voice getting louder as he talks, but fortunately for both of them, this doesn't attract any attention from the wandering students.
Carie's attitude suddenly changes, becoming more stern. She gets up with a huff and angrily says “If you are going to act like this, then you will learn absolutely nothing from me. Run your little investigation into what exactly happened to Jian last week, I don't care! Just leave me and my friend's alone, you freaking jerk!”
With Carie's last words, she turns around and leaves into the mass of students, disappearing into the crowd.
Sin sits on the bench, thinking over what Carie had just said. He thinks briefly about being a little too forceful, but then casts it off, thinking that it holds little to no concern over his current affairs. He entertains the thought of talking to the other three students, but also throws it aside, since Carie's statement is already enough to make him think that he will get even less from the others.
Instead of being less curious about the little group, he is now convinced that they are involved in something illicit. They are keeping a secret deeper than what happened in the shooting, and that is one secret that Sin is determined to find out.
“Alright, first thing I need to do is run a background check on those other students, and maybe Carie too. I need to see if anything has happened in the last half a year that might have besmirched her record.” Sin thinks, his head in his balled right hand and his left hand cupped over it. “I'll get to that tomorrow, since I have a few things to do today already. Although, I do hope that Carie isn't doing anything illegal, I would hate it if she was arrested.”
Sin sighs with his eye's shut and then gets up from his seat. He looks around at the swarming students and then walks through them and into the school building, continuing his planned activities for the day.
