A few minutes later when Chris noticed that nebel and mike were completely ignoring him, he calmed down and the three of them start walking towards a field full of fluffy bunnies and cute foxes. Chris was going to show his stuff so he sprinted ahead of the other two and reached the bunnies first.
Chris pulled out his short sword and with a yell slashed it down towards a particularly large one.
In front of his vision in colorful lettering the words “critical hit!” appeared floating over the now dead, rabbit. He lifted his blood splattered sword back to a ready position and watched as the rest of the rabbits started hopping away at full speed.

“What?” Chris was left surprised long enough for Nebel and mike to catch up to him, both of who immediately looked over his shoulder to read the notice.
“Hahaha…” was mike’s reaction as usual, at least Nebel was helpful. “Wish something had informed us a little, maybe we should only hunt carnivores.”
“Why did the booklet not say anything about this?” Chris said thinking about the little booklet that had appeared in his hands after his second hour of waiting in that bloody waiting room.
Mike stopped laughing “Booklet?” he and nebel ask together.
Chris ignores them and dashes off towards a forest. The forest was a fairly large one that bordered the plains full of bunnies and grew half way up the mountains behind it, it was also directly north of the training area where they had appeared and was north west from the clearly city that covered the whole western horizon.
After only a few minutes but at least at the edge of the forest, he completely runs out of energy and has to sit down. Mike and Nebel quickly catch up to Chris, first Nebel, who was moving in a fairly flamboyant way, that makes Chris very jealous and then Mike. Nebel bounces along with moon jump like hops, which carry him five feet at a time while Mike runs along behind him.
Strangely clutched in Nebel’s hand was the rabbit’s corpse. “Hey Chris, mike told me you learned fire magic can you start a fire for me?”
Knowing that he would never understand Nebel, Chris decides to just make a fire. “I don’t see the point but ok.”
Nebel reaches towards Chris’ belt and in a single movement pulls out Chris’ sword. Chris ignores him and starts chanting. “Sparks fly where people die and at home where people lie, ember.”
A small flame appears hovering over his hand and Chris places between the three of them, Mike and Nebel having sat down and made a circle with Chris. “What was that?” Mike asks while Nebel just looks pensive. “Well, whatever.” Nebel mutters while holding the now gutted and skinned rabbit over the tiny fire. After a little while Chris watches as Nebel finishes roasting the rabbit over the fire and immediately stops channeling the fire, his mp were nearly empty…

“Huh.” Chris says simply after seeing the notice. Once again Mike and Nebel look at the notice over his shoulder. “I thought so.” Nebel says “It seems none aggressive animals are considered not game but as a food source. Just don’t leave the bodies unused and you can do as you please.” Mike standing beside him nods to Nebel’s words but doesn’t say a thing.
“Come on let’s eat.” Nebel says and rips off some meat from the rabbit. Chris and Mike copy him. It tasted bland and the meat was chewy but at least he didn’t gain infamy.
The food didn’t give him any bonuses but that was ok it did fill his stomach, which increased his stamina regen.
“Come on let’s go.” Nebel says before strolling into the forest. Chris gets to his feet and brushes himself off, before practically jumping into the forest. Behind him he hears mike laughing.
In the forest, the light was drastically reduced and lots of the branches were low above Chris’ head. Ahead of him he could already hear sounds of fighting. Chris crouched to go under the branches of some of the trees and started running to get there before it was all over. In a small clearing Nebel was fighting with two small greenish humanoids…goblins by their appearance. As Chris got closer Nebel stepped closer to one of the goblins while looking towards the other. “Forwards!” The goblin fell backwards as its feet were ripped out from under it and as its feet nearly reached straight up the goblins head hit the ground with an audible crack. As the goblins body fell flat on the ground, unmoving, the other one was already dead. Nebel had pulled his spear down and across its chest, ripping it open from shoulder to belly, which caused its bowels to spill out across the ground. With a second slash of the spear Nebel cut its throat and the goblin slowly choked on its own blood.
“Damn, Nebel leave some for us.” Chris said coming out into the clearing with his short sword drawn. “Haaa.” Chris turns around to see Mike taking off a third goblin’s head with his axe. It had been about to stab him…
Nebel grinned and pointed towards the mountains. “I guess the mountains are over run, do you hear that.” Chris and mike stop moving and listen with him. In the distance they could hear the shouts of more goblins echoing off some cliffs… they appeared to be coming closer. “This is going to be fun.” Nebel said with a brutal smile that showed both his teeth and his bloodlust….
After an hour, and a few dozen goblins, Chris, mike and Nebel decided to head back. Chris had gained three levels, the points he gained from them were placed into Strength, Agility and a little into Vitality.
At the edge of the woods Nebel stopped and motioned them to sit for a while. “Hey, why don’t we show off our stats now?” Chris says Mike and Nebel look over at him. “That was the plan, wasn’t it.”
Nebel smiles “Ok, but let’s make it interesting, first you and Mike show yours first then after we all take a look, I’ll show mine.” Chris opens his mother to argue but decides to drop it. “Three, two, one.” Nebel counts. Both of them open their status screen.

Ironically both of them had invested the same amount of points into the same stats, but no one was looking at that, they were much more interested in the lack of regen stats in Mike’s stats. Well, everyone but Nebel was, he just looked at both of their stats and noded. “I thought so.”
Both of them look at him and say together “Show us yours.” And he does so and leaves then shock at the complete lack of information compared to theirs.

But also the fact that it showed things both of theirs didn’t have namely Physical status, something called secret revealed and oddly enough his real world age.
“Why is there so little detail?” Chris demands
“I think depending on how we did in the waiting room event determine our stat screens setup.”
“Why did you make that flicking motion?” Mike asks having noticed how he opened his status. Both of them had simple said “Show status to party.”
“My status screen is displayed by this thing.” He responds and points at his wrist.
“I just wonder what else is different.” Nebel says as he turns away from them. “Come on let’s get to town.”
Chris shakes his head and walks after him. After fighting the goblins, Nebel had searched their pockets, since no loot screen had appeared. Most of the goblins had nothing but their knives and their clothes but a few had some smooth pieces of quartz and one had a gold nugget. After he was done searching them, he had told Chris to light them on fire, which he had and after they had burned they had left the forest.
So of course now, outside of the forest and slowly walking towards town all of them were carrying arms filled with rusty knives old leather pieces from the goblin’s clothes and a few bits and pieces.
“I don’t see the point in taking this stuff, isn’t this a futuristic game?” Chris said to the other two.
“umm” Was all mike had to say.
“Ya, it seems that way, but I thought to take them anyway.” Nebel says looking over his shoulder “Even if we can’t sell most of it. Gold is gold and the leather can be used for some basic armor until we can afford the futuristic stuff. Plus the knives can be melted down and the quartz can be used in a few different ways not to get specific right now.”
“ok, ok.” Chris says. Lugging as much as they had picked up was going to take a while…
