“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!” Oblivec laughs while holding the ruin of his eye “So your strong enough to hurt me, eh?”
After the stone, which had lodged itself in his eye, had frozen it solid, it had exploded sending stone fragments ripping the shattered remains to pieces. Nebel was actually surprised it hadn’t penetrated his brain…
“That’s one tough eye socket…” Nebel mutters taken aback from the lack of death.
“If you think something as small as a lost eye would bother me…” Oblivec takes his hand away from his eye to show it to Nebel “Guess again!”
The eye socket which should have pieces of frozen eye, did in fact have pieces of frozen eye… and some weird sludge that was slowly gathering and pushing said pieces out… in a moment the giant goblin was blinking clear his newly grown eye and Nebel noticed the wound on his arm was also gone!
“Well that just sucks…” Nebel scratches his elbow and ducks down to pick up a hand full of pebbles and check his mental condition… twenty-five percent… “I guess I should get my spear back…”
Opening his palm he reduces the air resistance in a straight, wide line before firing the pebbles along it with some vector magic. The pebbles fly through the air and strike Oblivec in both eyes piercing deeply, running forwards Nebel jumps using something he hadn’t tried to use before, internal magic!
The technique involved imagining your muscles using all of their strength, your heart beating faster, your lungs processing oxygen more efficiently, your skin hardening and the signals moving from your brain to your muscles faster than ever before.
Dave had told him about it while he was training! But he had also told him about massive internal bleeding, muscle degeneration, skin crystallization, heart attacks, respiratory shutdown and total nervous system failure... so he actually preferred not to do it.
Pumping his muscles full of his remaining magic he pushes off the ground and flips himself around making him hit Oblivec legs first. Putting all of his force into it, he kicks Oblivec into stumbling backwards… of course this sends Nebel flying back the way he had come even harder… small masses tend to move easier than large ones!
Flying past where he had been standing before, Nebel passes by over head of the goblins that had been cheering for his enemy the whole time and lands only a few feet away from where he wanted to. Ripping his spear out of the ground where it had landed point down, Nebel spins on his heel and dashes towards the mass of goblins. With his physical strength greatly increased, Nebel sweeps the goblins away from his path with so much force that some of them were left cut in half instead of just wounded!
Plowing his way through he reaches Oblivec who laughs at the sight and lifts his enormous sword in response.
Slashing his spear diagonally up from the right, Nebel tries to carve off a leg but Oblivec blocks it with his eight foot long sword and pushes him back before following up with an upwards heading vertical cut. Nebel uses his magic to lower the density of the air behind him and adds a little more force into the force of Oblivec’s block pushing him back, what would have been a foot long slip backwards and a broken stance was turned into a ten foot slid backwards and a moment to recover or in other words a ******vania style back dash.
The sword hits the ground right where Nebel was only a moment before… but this was the end… his mental condition was already at a mind numbing headache creating five percent and having used some more of his remaining power had lowered his physical enhancement magic…
“Wellllll!” Nebel says throwing a hand full of rocks into the air “Goodbye!”
The rocks explode in the air showering the surroundings in pebbles and vaporizing the water Nebel had surrounded by stone with material manipulation. Mist fills the area and Nebel decides to change his plan… all he had to do was wait until his mental condition recovered a bit…
“Find him!” Oblivec yells out, ordering the rest of the goblins around. “I want to kill him!”
Nebel, instead of running away, quietly steps a few feet to one side and sits down at the side of a goblin hut… watching the shadows of the goblins running in every direction except towards the middle Nebel signs… all it takes is saying goodbye… no one ever searches where you disappear…
Taking out a snack bar, Nebel silently chews it while waiting for his condition to rise. The fog would last a while more so he should be fine as long as he was quiet.
When his condition had returned to just about fifty percent, Nebel starts sneaking around placing some of his reagents in the surrounding huts. They weren’t exactly bombs or poison but they would be pretty useful in the coming fight.
He still had a few more reagents in his pockets when he stopped laying them out but since the fog was clearing he couldn’t really do anymore…
“Hey Oblivec!” Nebel shouts out through the light mist “You really are as dumb as you look!”
Activating a few of his reagents Nebel glides with a small vector away from where he was just a moment before a huge sword slams down… typical… so easy to predict! The bottles of water Nebel had lain around that spot, drain in only a second and the water surrounds the sword before freezing it together with a metal pole sticking out of a foundation. “Man you’re too easy dumb dumb!”
This time not much occurs as Nebel only sees the ice covered sword raise a bit up the pole before reaching a bend in it, stopping and falling back onto the ground, Oblivec seemed to have quickly given up on it and was now standing somewhere nearby completely silent and presumable observant.
Nebel needed some way to damage him permanently and taking away his weapon was the only thing that came to mind… the goblins would be back soon…
Well he did have a temporary solution to Oblivec… but he wasn’t sure how long it would last… the time would be tricking and he only had a single possible attempt.
Opening another half dozen bottles of water Nebel directs it to surround his last known location… well in a thirty foot radius… he might have retreated, like Nebel did… scooping up another hand full of pebbles he enchants them with a little spell he had just invented and shoots them off in a full three sixty from his location at around eight feet in the air.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
This tactic if prepared earlier would have taken up only three or four percent of his newly recharged mental condition, but he hadn’t made this permanent spell earlier and he also sped up the creation by dumping more power into the process, leaving him with roughly only thirty two percent of his fifty-three…
The pebbles fly into the mist, most of them miss and their spells fade but a few of them hit his target and their spell activates, a loud shrill sound sounds out and Nebel immediately makes the water flow towards the sound as Oblivec comes into view running towards the point of origin of the pebble bullets.
Nebel brings the water up Oblivec’s legs and draws the heat out of it, the water starts to freeze and Oblivec stops to break it off before it can incapacitate him. Thirty percent…
“Hmm…” Nebel thinks for a moment as he continues to try to freeze the ever approaching goblin count, twenty-nine percent… “This should just about do it…”
Nebel takes the heat he’s removing from his dwindling supply of water and focuses it on Oblivec’s face, the count’s eyes burn turn black and crispy from it but Nebel decides to make sure to stop him, spreading the heat to his ears and nose, twenty-three percent, Nebel walks towards him and readies his spear.
Nebel reapplies his internal magic focusing on his arms he uses ever thing he can… ten percent…
Lifting it into a ready position, Nebel dashes the last few feet and thrusts the spear forwards with all of his strength… the spear gets buried deep into Oblivec and Nebel jumps back the second it stops moving deeper, leaving it behind…
Since the fight in the mist had begun Oblivec hadn’t said a single word, instead the goblin count had been snarling, growling, bellowing and yelling to try to intimidate Nebel. But now he screamed in pain.
Because Nebel had broken the male taboo and even knowing what would follow, Oblivec stops breaking off the ice and reaches down to try and pull out the spear Nebel had just taken his hands off of. Nebel takes this opportunity and using all of the water, and even the surrounding mist, incases Oblivec in ice…
Zero percent… the second he sees his mental condition, which he had left open on a little screen on his arm, hit zero he undoes the internal magic, recovering four percent… not enough to stop a major headache but at least it wasn’t zero anymore… he didn’t want to know what happened at zero…
As for Oblivec, he wasn’t exactly sure if freezing him would kill him, cripple him or not even work at all but it was the only thing he could come up with at that moment…
“Ahh!! No!”
Turning around Nebel notices he had used up too much of the mist… he had an audience…
The goblin’s that had been searching for him had returned sometime ago and now they were trembling in fear among the ruins and huts surrounding Nebel and his ice sculpture “Count Oblivec has lost…” One of them murmurs while stepping backwards “We can’t win!” it shouts and runs away towards the north-east.
Like it would with most stupid, cowardly creatures, this action caused the effect Nebel had been hoping for. After that first goblin ran away the trembling goblins only got more and more frightened until they some of them started running away too, and then more and more until only a minute or so later there wasn’t a goblin anywhere near Nebel… which was a lucky break for Nebel… since he really couldn’t have taken that many on at the moment.
Between the headache, nausea and darkening consciousness he was getting from using too much of his mental condition, there was also a few bruises, what he was sure was broken ribs from the fight and an overall feeling of pain from his body…
“Urghh…” Nebel coughs and blood sprays across the ground in front of him… that’s never a good sign…
Staggering a little, Nebel sits down and pulls out a few syringes of medicine he had in his pocket, taking off the caps, Nebel places them one by one against his arm and pressed the auto injection button, the pharmacist had told him that over dosing was impossible so he didn’t stop until he had used all six of those he had in his pocket.
They were bloody expensive but he didn’t have time to run all the way back here and he wasn’t sure how many were needed, while he was waiting to see if he was going to die or not, Nebel started making some preparations.
“Hey Rosa”
“Oh hey Nebel… I was thinking about you…” Rosa says in a seductive voice
“Oh that’s nice…bluergh!” Nebel vomits blood
“Hey that’s not nice!” Rosa yells over the line “Fuck you!”
Nebel hears a dial tone… he didn’t even know there was one… he calls her a few more times and finally she answers again.
“What do you want…?” Rosa asks Nebel in a haughty voice
Nebel wipes some left over blood off of his chin “Hey Rosa! I’m vomiting blood!”
“Wait what!?” Rosa’s tone turns shocked “Where are you!? I’ll bring a medic!”
“I need you to gather my body guards and technicians and bring them to the northern valley, can you do this for me?”
“What? Is that why you’re hurt? Did you attack the goblins? How many people are injured? I’ll bring the whole medical team!”
Nebel sighs… damn vomit “Hey Rosa! I’m the only one here! Bring a medic but remember to bring the technicians!”
“I’ll be right there!”

Hope you like the fight! the male code should be fairly obvious for most people but the next chap will have someone point it out so everyone will get it and be just as horrified as everyone else.
I tried to take away any over powering that Nebel might have had even though he never really did! The first mutants are just weak and tactic-less.
thank thankers, commenters, raters and reviewers and well readers in general!
