Nebel had to wait a few minutes before Rosa walked into the room once more, with her was a scrawny boy, a kid really dressed in a white robe. The kid took her place behind the counter and Rosa having walked around it, comes over to Nebel.

“Ok, Nebel I’m ready.” She says smiling widely as she offers her left hand to him.

Nebel slightly surprised looks her up and down, unlike every other time he had seen her Rosa for some reason had changed into a hooded white robe with golden trimming on the cuffs and at the hem, the robe while covering everything was form fitting as well and left none of her curves hidden. Her hood was down so her rich brown colored hair, that sun dyed reddish streaks through it, was still fully visible cascading over her shoulders and down her back, the ends curling thanks to the natural waviness of it.

Under her robe he could see that her feet had boots on, much like the ones he had seen soldiers wearing, but at the same time they had thinner plates that were arranged to form a floral design and instead of black they were white and a light pink. Over her shoulder was a light pink purse and she had her glasses from earlier perched on her cute delicate nose.

“Nice outfit Rosa.” Nebel says while he takes the hand she offers him. They walk out the library’s front door and as they head towards the entrance they continue talking.

“Do you really mean that? It’s just my uniform….” She signs and tilts her head while looking over at Nebel who is now on her left. “My boss gave me permission but told me that the adventurer’s office has a job for me, she made me wear my robe.”

“You look cute in it.” He says to her sincerely “But I also like your normal outfit.”

Rosa smiles at his complement and grips his hand “I’m sorry but It seems today we really won’t have enough time for much, the boss told me the job is urgent and life altering…”

The two of them lapse into silence for a minute as they walk down the academies pathway looking at the scenery of flowers, trees and people training all around them, they had already reached the sports fields and had only a little bit left to walk… at least to leave the academy. Along the way they had been getting some jealous stares as they walked along but Nebel thought that that was pretty natural since on his right, he had the naturally beautiful and very cute receptionist of the library.

Nebel, of course failed to notice that it wasn’t only men watching them go by and it was statistically impossible that that many women were jealous of him.

Normally Rosa wore, along with her blouse that was nearly always heavily unbuttoned both from the top and bottom, a short skirt bordering on mini that lent her a sassy/playful school girl atmosphere but now with her sorceress attire she had a serious but cute and intelligent air instead. Nebel actually preferred this Rosa and hoped to see her like this more often.

“I was wondering…” Nebel begins to ask her “Why was a professor of fire and ice magic, acting the part of a receptionist.”

Nebel looks over at her to see her blushing slightly, he waits for a moment and Rosa tells him “I… kind of got drunk at a party and did a few things… the fallout was community service for a month…”

Nebel chuckles and Rosa joins in before saying with relief in her tone “Thank god, I was worried there for a moment, most mages aren’t known for their tolerance.”

Nebel pats her on the back as they walk “I’ve gotten in my fair share of drunken mishaps, who am I to judge.”

At the entrance of the academy, Nebel and Rosa take a right and head in the direction of the train station. A train was just about to depart and they quickly board it, in the train they get quite a few stares as they walk to the front and take two seats side by side with a view towards the north.

Rosa’s robe that reached all the way down to her ankles, had two slits from the thigh down that let her move a bit better and instead of hiding the length of her legs actually show cased them, much like a long thin sweater does for a woman’s figure. Nebel is caught, studying them by Rosa but she doesn’t say anything about it and just looks out the window.

“You’ve all done so much for this world already, you and the other aliens I mean.” Rosa says staring at a group of machines digging clay out of the ground near the forest. “The last two bunches were worthless but you guys have done so much. I wish I could help but the rules of the academy are very clear on that, I’m most useful teaching and organizing so I’m kept nearly locked up.”

She looks over at Nebel “If I could I would go with you… but I guess all I can do is root for you all to win.”

The rest of the ride is taken in silence as they listen to the sounds of the train rushing through the air and watch the many groups of people working in the distance.

When they reach the city they leave the station and walk along a boulevard until they reach the square in front of the adventurer’s office. Since they don’t have much time together thanks to Rosa’s and actually even Nebel’s orders they head straight to the coffee shop and order two coffees and croissants at one of the tables in the main room.

As they sit waiting for their orders, Nebel tells Rosa about his world and how the two worlds differ while Rosa interested about it but also interested about something else, picks his brain about his use of magic. He tells her all about his vectors and traps and she just absorbs it all like a sponge and even gives him a few suggestions, like how objects related to an action or effect produce permanent spells with better effects and how the effects created really are just limited by the imagination.

Nebel already knew the second one but listens politely to her passionate speech and actually comes up with a few things to try.

After a few minutes more Rosa checks her display and says “It looks like my time is up, I have to report in.” Nebel pays the bill and they leave the café behind them. Walking briskly across the plaza, they reach the entrance to the adventurer’s office and Rosa stops him with one hand on his chest, stands on her tippy toes and gives him a soft kiss. “I had a good time, let’s do it again sometime.” Before walking in through a door marked official.

Nebel walks in through the main doors and up to the counter. “Hi I’m Nebel, I was told to get orders from here.”

The woman behind the counter stares for a moment before opening three displays in front of him, the first on is a view of the northeastern plains centered on the fortifications, the third one is a view of the north western farmlands and the one in the middle has some text.

“I was told to show you these if you came.” The woman tells him.

Alien Hero Nebel

We have two missions for you that we are sure you can accomplish with your skills along with a third mission that we expect you will be able to complete during these.

The first Mission is for you to travel to the northwestern frontier and aid the military in setting traps along the front lines.

The second Mission requires you to head in the western direction; there you will also be using your trapping skills to help the forces of Alien Hero Nayder in whatever way you can.

Both of these missions terminate when the northern fire dies.

The duration of these missions will see you accompanied by an assistant who will learn your techniques from you first hand; the assistant will only provide said techniques to military personnel to limit the leak of their details to the enemy.

We are certain the assistant chosen to accompany you will be able to assist you in any way you require, complaints are to be filed in the adventurer’s office.

“If you manage to do both your reward will be your own personal guard of twenty men.” The woman says when Nebel finishes reading as evidenced by him looking at the pictures.

“They also said something about technicians… I didn’t really listen. Sign here to show you understand and accept your mission.” The woman says putting a stylus and a blank display in front of Nebel.

Nebel takes the stylus and signs his name. The woman takes back the stylus and tells him to wait at the entrance for the assistant. Nebel walks out the front door and waits for about a minute before seeing Rosa come out the official entrance. Not at all surprisingly she walks up to him and says with an embarrassed smile “I.. was assigned as your assistant…”

It was sort of funny if you thought of it, she had just said her good bye to him expecting to see him next who knows when, just to find out she would be travelling with him…

“Well how about we get going Rosa, we’ve got a lot of ground to cover to get to the northeastern frontier.” Nebel says to her while leading her towards the train station where they would be able to get a ride to the plains.

Rosa grabs his hand and pulls him in a different direction. “Nebel let’s just get a ride with a military convoy, come on they pass through just three streets from here.”

Nebel let’s Rosa lead him to the convoy path and a few minutes later they jump onto one of the trucks after getting them to slow down.

Its a little short this time three hundred words to be exact, i also posted it now because i went to bed early...

In the end i didn't actually copy anything over i rewrote it all while just referencing to keep the facts straight, hope you like my description of a white mages outfit i thought it would be a good uniform for their female mages. the men will have a vampire/magus styled black robe plus cloak version.

i think i'll post the next chapter at the usual time, writing at night is more peaceful.
