I step into the shower and start the hot water. It’s relaxing, and it’s the first time I've been really alone for a while. Alastor mutters in my ear, I can hear him checking my bodily functions, and can feel him tapping around in my head. It's really an odd feeling. I close my eyes and relax against the wall. Suddenly, the sensations of the hot shower and large tiles vanish, and I can feel tight and well-fitting armor strapped on me. It feels right, like it belongs there and was forged for me.
I open my eyes to see a large portal before me, a mechanized world around me, but a normal-ish world through the portal. I remember the name of the mech planet, Zansud, as you know things in a dream, and my orders to bring the world through the portal, Sumwaltt, to its knees. Striding powerfully through the portal, I can tell that the current me is not in control, but that it’s a memory. I fly into the sky and my voice booms through the air. Even though my voice cannot carry that far, my mental powers transmit it over the globe. I feel a sword in my hands, and looking down on it, I recognize it as the sword I made but a week ago, along with all the powers that I remember it having. Watching myself, I fly up as high as I can, spawning swarms of insects and plagues across the lands. I can feel the terror of the people, and my past self revels in it. I can also feel the unrelentingness of the leaders, and know my task is not done, so I cast the capital city of their empire into salt, and feel their will shatter. I return through the portal and I snap to consciousness as Alastor’s voice calls in my head.
‘HEY, WAKE UP MASTER!’ He can be really loud when he tries, especially for a worm living in my head. I open my eyes and realize I’m back in the shower room, with a naked Lillith bending over me, looking worried.
I blink groggily and move to stand up. Lilith kneels and helps me stand, concern evident in every line of her body. I hold on to one of the shower bars, then take a step gingerly, ignoring her questions for a moment. I look down at her and smile,
“I’m ok now, can I get dried off, then tell you what happened?” I ask, and she nods, but still doesn’t completely let go of me. I walk carefully over to the towels, and pick one up to start drying off, and her hand falls, grabbing one herself, though her eyes still watch me. I towel myself off, then lead the way to the bed, where Twila seems to be recovering from an orgasm. When Twila notices the way Lillith is watching me, however, she sits up and scoots to the side of the bed.
“Are you okay?” she asks, sounding unsure who or what to ask about. I nod, but flop onto the bed.
“Yeah, just another vision…” I morph out Justice, noting every line and detail in it, comparing it to my memory. Lillith cocks her head, watching me.
“Something frightening enough you need your sword?” she asks, sounding mostly serious and only a little scared.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“The sword was in my vision.” I say quietly. She studies it for a few seconds without saying anything, then responds, just as quietly.
“But you just made it… Does that mean your visions are of the future..?” She sounds hesitant to even voice it. I shake my head,
“It was a memory, I know that much.” Lillith looks relieved, then guilty.
“Umm… was it, was it as bad as the other one you told me about?” She asks. “And how is it possible that your sword was in it?”
Alastor speaks into everyone’s heads, “This sword and its mind are written into his genetic code, it will always be with him. Because he was able to build it again, it means the previous incarnation of it was destroyed.”
I pause for a moment. “The vision was pretty bad, I was smiting another world.”
Lillith bites her lip, looking guilty. “And I was in here with Twila when you fell…” She says, looking across at me with her big blue eyes.
I lean over and softly kiss her, “It’s ok, a fall really doesn’t hurt me.” She nods slowly.
“I suppose I should have guessed as much, with the way you fought that guy earlier… I just got worried when you weren’t responding…”
“So, what were you two doing while I was gone?” I change the subject abruptly. Lillith’s guilty look immediately turns to one of bashful pleasure.
“Umm… we were… experimenting?” She says, her cheeks darkening. She glances sideways at Twila, who has recovered and actually looks a little ashamed of herself, not an expression I’ve seen on her yet.
“Was it fun?’ I wink at Twila. Both girls glance at each other, then nod firmly. “Good.” I walk around and flop on the bed.
“You’re sure you’re okay though?” Lillith asks. “Like…” She trails off and taps her temple, frowning slightly. Twila seems absent-minded, staring at me, but looking lost in her own mind. She speaks up suddenly though, talking quietly, almost to herself.
“He is fine. And Alastor is helping him as best he knows how.” Lillith and I both look at her, and she shakes herself and gives us a smile.
“Trust me. I wouldn’t say it’s exactly normal, but it isn’t something to worry about.” Twila shrugs. “Alastor can confirm that.”
I mentally prod Alastor, who confidently confirms her words.
‘Not normal, but I’m not surprised it’s happening to you. Lillith may have dreams as well, though probably not waking visions.’ Alastor says, and I consider this. Lillith did mention a dream before…
