Annoyed with Adam, Roderick made his way to the medical facility.
He headed towards where Adam was and yelled on his face, "Lieutenant's alive."
"He's not. I checked his breath." Adam muttered.
"Don’t you think people can hold their breath?" Roderick raised his eyebrows.
"Aahh…I should have checked his heartbeat."
"And his pocket as well because he is sending stress signal to Raphael." raged Roderick.
"He is dead. Nobody can hold their breath for five minutes. And he did not send the signal." Spoke Adam.
"Huh?"
"I think I sent the signal by mistake." Adam showed him Lieutenant's watch.
"Why did you press this red button?"
"I thought it would make this watch glow. Don’t blame me." Adam raised his voice.
They heard tramps approaching towards their room.
Watching Roderick trying to hide, Adam asked, "Why are you hiding?"
"I will follow you. Once I find where they keep captives, then I may be able to free them." Roderick went inside a cupboard.
"What about me?" Adam mumbled.
"And you too." Roderick closed the door.
Officials ran in the room immediately.
Roderick did not see Adam being arrested, but by the sound he knew it was not a very smooth arrest.
The last tramp left the room, and he came out from the cupboard. Roderick was fast enough to leave the room and to see Adam being taken away. He needed to maintain distance to not cause any suspicion.
Now I will find out where they keep prisoners. Roderick licked his lips while following them from a distance.
They took him from the same ground to a small building. On the gate of the building there was a frame of a door which was a temperature sensor in itself.
It beeped loud as Adam passed through it.
Roderick couldn’t dare to get inside there. But he knew where he had to look for the captives. They did not kill Adam, which meant he was being taken for something else. Now he could relate the happening to Raphael's warning.
