29. Rescue is coming

"So, this is hell?" I said after teleporting myself here.

When I looked around the only thing I could see were rocks, sand, and lava. I was standing on a small island, one of many others here.

This whole place looked like a big cave, but it was bright unlike caves on the surface. Well, even if there wasn't any sunshine here, it still was full of lava and flames.

"Hey, wake up!" I said to a knight that was still unconscious.

"Hmm? O-Oh, it's you Morgana. Wait a momen... W-Wehhh?!?!" Arthur suddenly started screaming.

"Shut up idiot!" I shouted at him. This idiot is really making me angry.

"T-This place... This place is horrible!" he said with a shaky voice.

"Is it?" I asked as I looked around.

It looked fine to me. Well, I don't think I'm a weird person, but I think this place is not that bad. Anyway, I shouldn't think about things like this. We are here to rescue William. There is only one problem...

"How are we going to move here? There is only lava everywhere." William said after looking around.

Yeah, that was our main problem. There weren't any demons near us, so we didn't need to worry about them for now, but walking around wasn't an option if this whole place was full of lava.

"Let me think about this." I replied, and started thinking.

I could summon something, that would carry us around. A golem could freely walk in lava, and we could ride him without any problems. It could also be a flying monster. I could even use a protective spell, that would protect us from the heat. Swimming in lava would still be scary, but it was an option.

Yeah, we had many options but all of them had one problem. I needed to use my mana. I don't think using my mana in a place like this just to move around is a good thing to do. And even if we don't encounter any demons, I still need to teleport us back to the surface. To get here I needed to use a scroll, because I can't use teleportation to places like this, but it wasn't the case if we wanted to come back.

Yeah, it wasn't a case, but it still costs me a lot of mana. Maybe it didn't looked like this, but to use this scroll I needed to use a lot of my mana. If I use a lot of my mana now, we would need for it to regenerate before coming back. I don’t think it’s a good idea, especially in a place like this.

"Do you have any problems?" I heard an unfamiliar voice.

When I looked into it's direction I saw an old man. He looked like a human, he had white hair, long white beard, and really cheap, and worn clothes. Yeah, he looked like an old man, but he couldn't.

"O-Oh?! A human!" Arthur said as he started approaching him, but I grabbed him to stop him.

"There is no reason to be so afraid." this man said with a smile.

Yeah, we were now in hell. And it wasn't even the worst thing about this situation. This man must be powerful. I don't know if he is a demon or a human, I just know that didn't felt anything for all this time. He approached us without making a noise or even slightly revealing his presence.

"Who are you?" I asked, preparing to fight him if I needed.

"You really don't need to be so scared of me. I'm just a concerned parent." he said, and smiled one more time. After that he started walking in our direction.

"One more step and I will kill you." I said, and he stopped smiling. Is he planning something? Well, I couldn't feel his presence but I'm not weak. I don't think it would be an easy fight, but...

"I'm so stupid!" he shouted, and I looked at him surprised.

"Ahh, I'm sorry. You must think I'm some shady guy. We are in hell after all." he said and looked at me.

It's weird. He's saying weird things.

"Are you stupid?" I asked, and Arthur looked at me with a scared face.

Are you really a knight? Don’t be afraid of everything.

"I'm really sorry, just let me explain everything. You must be my daughter’s friends, that's why you are here."

"Your daughter’s friends?" I asked, thinking about what he said. We are in hell right now, and I don't remember having that many friends. Well, it's not like I'm some loner, I just don't spend much time with other people. Well, we are in hell, so maybe some demon?

Demon, and a friend? Do I have a person like this? No, I don't have any demon friends. I'm 100% sure.

"Yeah. Aren't you Vyliana's friends?" he asked.

Vyliana is my friend?

"Yeah, we are!" Arthur just replied for both of us, and this old man smiled at us.

"You see, some time ago I saw my daughter here with a really young girl so I hid. After that both of them went away. That's how I knew that you must be her friends. No one normal would just come here, so you probably are here because of thing young girl. I'm really sorry if my daughter has done something stupid."

Well, after hearing him out it makes more sense. But he hid himself when he saw his daughter?

"Anyway, I can get you to my daughter if you want to. She is probably with her mother." old man said with a weird face.

Is he scared of his wife? First his daughter, now his wife?

"Why would we trust you?" I asked one more time. It's a nice story, but I can't really trust him just like that. We should probably just go away, and...

"Yeah, it would really help us!" Arthur shouted, and made me angry one more time.
