18. Pretty nice memories

"Do you just want to sleep all the time?! Who do you think a mage is?!" little girl asked me as she stood next to my bed. She was wearing an apprentice clothing. It meant that she was a mage but there was one problem.

She was a sixteen years old girl.

"Don't worry little Rosie. I know all there is to know about the mages." I said to this little girl and it made her angry for some reason.

"We just became mages William! Behave like a normal person!"

I don't understand. Wouldn't a normal mage want to sleep all the time? I looked into her eyes. One of them was green and other one orange. She had a short dark hair and looked really furious right now.

"I'm just a young man. Give me some rest." I said tired and covered myself with a blanket.

"You are in your twenties William! Behave!" she said as she tried to knock me out of my bed.

Why are young girls so aggressive?

"What do you want me to do exactly?" I replied and stood up. There was no reason to argue with her if she was like this.

"Well we are in mage's guild and we just became ones... maybe do some research?" she said hesitantly looking at the floor. It was somewhat cute but there was one problem.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

"What kind of research do you want to do in my room!"

I just got this new clean room in this beautiful guild. There was no reason to destroy it! I even had this big bed and books I will never read!

"Don't be like this! We can always study some magic!" Rosie said and pulled out a book from under her cloak.

You were prepared for this moment, weren't you?

"We are in capital city, and the first thing you want to do is study?" I asked and she shoved the book in my face.

"Look at cover! Look at it!" Rosie said and I did as she said.

"101 unsolved problems in magic... Is it supposed to be fun?"

"You won't know untill you try!" she replied with glowing eyes that were really pretty because of colors that they had, and then she opened the book one the floor.

I felt a little ashamed that my desk was too messy to even put a book on it but after some time I started reading this book with her on the floor.

As we were sitting I read next pages that contained various problems.

How to clone somebody with magic. How to make a no mana spell. How to cast many spells in one time.

"It's... It's..."

"Awesome?"

"Boring!" I replied and made her angry one more time.

Well, it's not like I hate magic, but I find it really boring most of the time. Those are just questions that no one knows answer to. What is so fun about them?

"It's not my fault that ma.... turn the page back." I said as I saw something really interesting.

"Hmmm? William found something that interests him?" Rosie said jokingly and smilled at me.

"Just do it!" I said and she turned the page back.

There, written with big letters was a headline that was supposed to change my whole life.

"How to make a spell of eternal youth..." I read it slowly.
