“So, you two did hook up?”
It’s been a week since the mixer, and Kristine asked this question. She seemed anticipated to learn what happened.
And here I am, exasperatedly gazing at her for not telling anything at all. “You never said he’s a transgender, huh.”
“Didn’t I?” she nonchalantly utter. “Hey, don’t you just blurt it like you know nothing about it!”
She just chuckled at me while waving. “Ella’s not a transgender, he’s a crossdresser.”
“A crossdresser?”
“Yeah. He is in fact, straight man. A model, to be precise. Yet, his thing for crossdressing is, you see...”
Kristine explained, as she seems she knows everything about him. “So, why did you invite him last time? I mean, if he’s a guy... that would mean he’s sitting on the other side, right?”
“It’s because he insists to know about you. I intended you to hook up with him by pretending to make a mixer. I feel that you’re a lesbian, so...”
“Huh?” I asked dumbfoundedly. “You don’t show any interest with a guy; you’re always hanging out with me and the other girls. And from time to time, I see you looking at Chesca with admiration...”

Her smile lurks at me after that monologue. Kristine knows Chesca since we’re attending same University. And now she also knows my nature.
“Now I can’t hide it.” I mumbled out. “Worry not. My love for you won’t change. We’re buddies, you know? You’re my friend, and that won’t change who you are.”
Now I’m glad to know that Kristine won’t cast me out just because I’m a lesbian. Knowing that assures me that I can still be happy.
“But right now, you know Ella’s true gender... what will it be?”
“Huh?”
Kristine’s eyes smoldered while gazing at me. “You two hooked up, so that means there’s something in between you two?”
I flinched hearing those words. “What—what are you saying?! Me and that...”
I trailed the following words. Kristine snickers while looking at my face. “You look disgusted but you seemed longing for him, huh?”
What?! What’s this girl talking about?! “You’re spouting nonsense, Kris. Spare me with your indecent thoughts.”
“Oh, please... you can’t deny how much you’re longing to get laid again. Also, he’s your first guy, so...”
I felt chills from remembering what happened that night. And Kristine’s face show eagerness to tease me about what really happened between me and that supposed-to-be woman who I hooked up ended up a man.
“No, I don’t want to remember that. I don’t want to—"
“Oh, look who’s here...” her eyes switches from me to my side. With her lips forming a big smile, she mentioned the familiar name that made me jolt out. “Ella! Over here!”
The chilly feeling crawls throughout my body as I slowly tilt sideways. That very moment, I saw the familiar face dazzling in the morning sunbeam.
For unknown reason, my heart suddenly thumps fast as that person’s mere presence appears right before me.
“Hi, good morning, Kristine.” That familiar voice soothes within me, like it’s a natural thing. I twitched out, trying not to get overwhelmed by this moment.
However, “You sure meet this girl here...” Kristine stated. The guy named Ella turns to gaze my way. Both our eyes meet. My heart thumps faster; my lips gaped in awe as I saw him clearly.
His short, trimmed hair styled in a bit of scruffy, eyes brim with life, and stature physique enough for a man beckons me. “Jessie, meet my guy friend, Arellano Sanchez. You can call him ‘Ella’.”
That time I clearly heard his name, and that Ella thing is his nickname, causing me to grab onto his arm. Ella suddenly jolts from what I did.
Recalling everything what happened that night flooded my mind.
I never intended to see him again, but... but my eyes can’t avert off of his pretty face. He’s a girl in a man’s body, a goddess descends from above to see me.
“I...” my mouth lures that word. “I think... I want to do it with you.”
“Huh?” both of them left out that grunt, all while looking at me with scrutiny and surprise.
