>> “You see, I pique an interest to you. So, if it’s okay, let’s go grab a drink, just the two of us...?”
A girl who I just met tonight asked me to have a drink with her.
Now what...? I was supposed to match up with a guy, but it ended up that we’re hooked up.
What should I do...?
I did say yes, but then...? Will this be the time I can forget about her? Will this night be the fulfilling one for my lost love?
Will she ever replace Chesca, and make me happy...?
I dunno...
But...
On these feelings I’ve been kept, for this time, I want someone to understand it. I want to have that someone to accept, even if it wasn’t that too deep to enhance us to be together.
I want to fall in love... and be love by someone.
“What do you want to drink?” as we arrived at the bar, Justin sits at the stool up on the table bar. I sit beside her and look at the displayed bottles of different brands.
“I want to try whiskey...” I mumbled softly. “Whiskey, then...” Ella ordered.
“And two bottles of cold beer, please...?”
The bartender attended her order right away. In a moment, a small crystal glass offered up to me with the brownish liquid, served with ice cube.
The ambience is quite calming; a faint mellow music plays in the background. Holding the glass with my fingers, I take a sip. The taste trances my tongue, chugging down on my throat.
The burning sensation trances down my throat as I gulped the drink. Ella took a gulp of beer also and places it on the table.
Ah, the surroundings are too tranquil that I can’t even start a conversation. “Are you done glancing at me?”
A popped-up question comes out of her mouth. I twitched out as she asked; Ella chuckles. “So, what makes you attend that meet up?”

She didn’t let me asked that question. It’s just the way how she teased me, yet I never thought that she will notice it.
My head tilts sideways to glance at her. In the dim light of the bar, I saw her beauty glimmer like a gem. She’s stunning; my heart keeps quivering out.
“I... I just invited by Kristine. Well, she said that I may find someone suitable to be... you know, lover?”
I answered dejectedly. Ella nods at me as she took another gulp of beer. “But I can’t stand it.” As I answered, I glance at her.
“Stand what...? What do you mean...?” her voice become mellow. I didn’t even notice that she’s leaning right over to me.
I take a sip of whiskey. The impact of taste rushes over my mouth and as it nurtured down on my throat. Its warm sensation once again burns my throat.
“I... I am quite odd of a girl. I’m not a girl who likes to meet with a stranger... especially when that stranger is a guy.”
With my voice quivering, I answered her question nonchalantly. Eh...? What now...? Why am I starting to answer like it doesn’t really matter at all?
And I feel like, whenever she’s here... everything’s fine.
“So, you’re saying...?” Ella utters softly. My eyes meet hers and from that, the glimmer shows through her face. She’s like a goddess sitting beside me.
My heart pounds fast; I can’t stand the feeling of having her looking at me like this.
“Yeah, I think I like you. But heck with that—"
“—Won’t you try...?” before I continue, Justin grabs my hand. The soft allure me and made me jolt out of bewilderment.
However, I am still wary of my actions. I’m not that drunk yet. No, I knew from the very beginning that this is too much for a meeting.
“.... I, I never had done it with anyone before. I’m afraid.”
“Don’t you worry, for I will make your night a wonderful one... okay?”
Huh...? What now...? My feelings overwhelmed by this uncertain emotion swirling inside me. I don’t know...? I don’t know... what will I say next...?
Ella turns to me while she remains sitting on the stool. Her other hand cups my face. I feel the warmth soothing on me. She brushes my hair lock on the side of my ear using her fingers.
“You really are pretty, Jessie...”
Her smile lures in my sight; my heart pounds like crazy right now. She’s too radiant, too radiant that I’m afraid to take advantage to this moment.
But I don’t want to lose this chance.
My throat parched; maybe it’s just my imagination right now.
And then, Ella slowly leans to me. Our face slowly touches together.
Her breathing is soft and warm; it tangles my feelings to get off from this moment.
My mind becomes fuzzy; everything that happened a while ago slowly vanishes. Only this moment I’m having with her remains. And as the mood goes, our lips touch together.
The faint taste of beer locked on her lips blended to mine. Soft and warm, that’s how I describe her lips; the bitter taste, as well as the sweet sensation rushes inside me.
This is my first kiss. They say it taste like lemons but what I say right now... it’s the taste of malt beer and lip balm, as well as the faint girlish perfume waft under my nostrils.
My heart keeps pounding. Is this the feeling of having someone’s kiss...? What...? I can’t describe fully.
Slowly, she moves away from me. In the faint glim of light, Justin’s face blushes. She’s show more elegance and beauty than ever.
“I... I...”
“It’s okay; I think that’s your first kiss right...?” her soft voice entangles in my ear. I nod bashfully at her and looked down.
“How is it...? Kissing a person, you just met?”
“I don’t know...” I answered hesitantly. My hands clenched tight as I looked at her once more. “But... But I don’t hate it. I don’t... because...”
“Then, want to continue on my place...?”
What...? What...? What...? Eh...?
What should I say...? Should I say yes...? Yes, right...? What...? A girl invited me on her place. What...?
“I... I think we’re rushing things but...” damn, my heart pounds crazier than before. I don’t want to end this night without good reason to throw up.
“But...?” with such meekness, Ella asked.
“But... okay, let’s go...”
“Where...?” As I look directly on her eyes, her lips give a mischievous smile. Damn! She’s playing with me!
“Should I say that...!? Agh...! Damn! I want to stay at your place! Please let me stay with you for a little longer!”
Ah, I said it; now it’s over. “All right.” Ella answers.
She then took my hand and holds it tight. With the money she left at the table, we exited the bar and headed to her place. I feel reluctant to have someone take me away.
Yet, this fulfills my night... the night I won’t ever forget for the rest of my life.
