Once everyone was present, Jake, the host, began guiding everyone through the process.

In the center of the recording hall, Jake, holding a microphone, announced clearly, "I trust everyone on their way here has carefully read through the rules for our second round.

"But just in case anyone missed it, let me remind you again. Since the second round of Supergalactic Idol uses a one-on-one match-up system, there's no need for grouping. You'll draw lots to decide your opponent."

Even though everyone had already read the rules, many still played along by acting surprised.

Someone asked, "How will the order for drawing be arranged?" That was the question everyone was most concerned about right now.

After all, the sooner one drew lots, the more choices one had, and it was more beneficial for one. Jake gave a typical smile and said, "The sequence for drawing lots is based on the preliminary stage ranking. The team that came first gets to draw first. To prevent them from picking their own team, their names are not in the box, and so on."

In other words, Audrey won't be up against Leila as the audience had earlier predicted.

As soon as these words were spoken, some people were happy while others were worried.

The third group, which ranked the lowest in the preliminary stage, looked particularly downcast. With this method, they didn't have any opportunity to draw lots and could only be chosen by those who drew first. Soon, the lot drawing started. The wooden box for drawing lots was large enough, so the members of the sixth preliminary group didn't worry about the order and simply reached in together to draw their lots. A few seconds later, everyone had a slip of paper with their opponent's name on it.

After the top members of the preliminary stage drew their opponents' slips, Jake made a show of it, asking them to hand him the slips so he could announce their opponents.

No one had any objections to this. They handed their slips to Jake and then returned to their positions. Jake neatly stacked the slips in order and said softly, "Let's start from the top."

The first opponent announced was Yulia's. Jake smiled at Yulia, meeting her nervous gaze as he unfolded the slip, and said, "Yulia's opponent is Helena!"

With those words, Yulia's face turned as white as a sheet.

She couldn't believe her bad luck, drawing the strong opponent Helena.

On the other hand, Helena visibly relaxed upon hearing this, clearly confident about winning the match. Next up was Paula's opponent, the equally formidable Jingle.

Paula instantly displayed a bitter expression. Even Jake, the host, joked that their group was having a streak of bad luck.

But when it was Leila and Yelimia's turn, the situation took a turn, as they drew opponents who were much weaker than them.

Soon, Jake had only one piece of paper left in his hand. It contained the name of Audrey's opponent for this round.
