Chapter 284

As I looked at Eros stopping Pison's hand, I gulped. There was something insanely sexy about the way he defended Lily.

My eyes roamed over his body, under the naked blood moon, and my heart fluttered.

My lips parted slightly as I watched him, familiar tingles of excitement racing through me in waves.

I closed my eyes and slowly bit my lips. I shouldn't be doing this, lusting over Eros when the fate of the kingdom rested on us.

We had more serious things to attend to at the moment. And getting rid of Pison was the priority.

I looked around, as thoughts of Zion filled my mind. If Eros was here, that would mean that Zion was too. And I was right.

My eyes landed on Zion in Lamia's arm at a distance. It was a comforting sight, seeing Lamia hold the

child lovingly in her arms. She looked like Zion's big sister. Lamia looked up at the same time and smiled softly at me.

"The goddess has given you the power you need, use it" I heard Lamia's voice in my head before she disappeared into the shadows.

It was clear that Lamia would not involve herself in this fight. Her only priority was my son, Zion, chosen by the goddess herself.

I sighed and allowed myself to focus on myself. It was hard, considering the chaos that broke out around

me.

I looked up at the chair that held me in place. My skin stung at the point where the chains touched me.

I pulled hard, trying to see if it would come off. It didn't budge.

I tried again, and all I felt was a sharp pain as the silver burnt through my skin, the wolfsbane making it excruciatingly painful.

I screamed, and gave up, my shoulders falling in defeat as I took a few minutes to breathe and recover myself.

My head jerked up at the sound of Lily's cry as I looked back at the sacrificial altar to see Lily all alone. A few feet away from her, the Elders watched Eros and Pison engage in a fight while they slowly approached Lily.

They were trying to continue the ritual while they use Pison to keep Eros occupied.

A loud shout filled the air as Pison growled in fury. "Why won't you just die?" He yelled bitterly as he blindly sung blows at Eros.

My eyes went back to the elders. One of them was already at the altar, a wicked look on his face. "The blood moon will be over in a few seconds." One of the Elders said.

Elder Franklin, who I now recognized as he pulled the hobbies away from his head, was still looking at Lily on the altar.

He picked the dagger that fell out of Pison hands and held it tightly over his head.

My heart squeezed as the sudden urge to protect Lily this time consumed me.

I had no idea when I tapped into the energy within me, but I suddenly became hot, my body boiled with a

fury that transcends my emotions. With one pull, I broke free of the chains that held my hands.

I was suddenly charged.

My claws elongated and my eyes changed colors as I allowed Tiara to take over.

I shifted midair, and charged at Elder Franklin just in time before he could drive the dagger into Lily's frail body.

With one bite, I ripped out the skin on his neck, and blood oozed out as spat the flesh out and growled, his blood stains on my mouth.

The Elders rushed at me, each one shifting into their wolves as they tried to attack me.

I growled, my head lowered as my ears perked up ready to attack.noveldrama

From the side of my eyes, I caught sight of Arthur who sat up.

I had no time to give him explanations as I charged at the wolves.

They were stronger than I imagined. I was beginning to lose strength when Arthur joined me at my side and took on the other wolf.

As we fought, I noticed that Eros and Pison had both shifted into their beasts, and the fight had gotten intense. It was chaos all round.

I had a slight feeling of Deja vu as I remembered how Arthur fought alongside Eros in the other world after his betrayal.

In no time, Arthur and I got rid of the Elders.

We were about to join Eros in taking down Pison when Alice and Sussie joined the party.

Sussie's eyes widened in horror on seeing her father's body lifeless on the ground, at the feet of Arthur.

"You killed my father!" she cried in anger. Without waiting an extra second, she attacked Arthur and Alice charged at me.

"You can still stop this." I growled at Alice.

Her wolf huffed but ignored my warning. Alice tried hard to rip my flesh off, but i

flesh off, but I kept defending

myself. Knowing Alice wasn't going to give up soon, I landed a deadly blow on Alice ignoring the lost history of friendship we shared. The fight was over quickly.

Alice fell to the ground, and I ripped her heart out of her chest. A tear cascaded down her cheeks, as she manged to mumble a little "sorry".

I rushed to the altar and carefully took Lily.

I was about to escape with her when

I felt a dark presence in the

atmosphere. A shadow moved to

hover around the altar, and I was

immediately reminded of the

shadow I saw in my vision

Hades.

Fear gripped me, and as quickly as I could, I started running. I wasn't exactly sure where I was going, but

I knew I needed to escape with Lily.

It was clear that Hades was desperate. I had a feeling that he would sacrifice her if he ever caught up with

us.

With everything I had, I ran as fast as

I could, feeling the night air whipped through my fur as I left Eros behind. I prayed to the moon goddess that he defeats Pison...
